He doesn't leave a legacy, at least not in the normal sense. He has no child to pass his name onto, so the crown goes to his cousin. He has no body to bury, so his tomb lies empty, though the traps yet guard the area from thieves. He has no Priests left to sing the proper funerary rites, so he never passes into the land of the Dead.

For three thousand years he waits, until finally, a man comes, Shimon-but-not, and the pieces of his shattered soul can be restored. He waits patiently as the golden pieces click together, a pyramid puzzle, and then, he is born again.

The Shadow Games rise from the ashes, and the world holds its breath.
