Chapter 5- Good News

Renkotsu was now 6 months pregnant and it was obvious that he was pregnant. A lot of the guys promised that he was changing but he would not hear one word of it.

“That is ridulous..I am not changing..” Renkotsu said as he shut his door to his room. He carefully sat down at his desk and opened up the blueprints for Ginkotsu's new arm. He started studying how to begin the arm.

“Let's see..if I take the upper arm and connect it to the elbow…ERG! DAMMIT!!” Renkotsu said furiously as he erased the part that he had messed up on. He sighed and took his brush and carefully started to work once again.

“Hmm..now hmm…” Renkotsu all of sudden stopped what he was doing and he placed his hand on his stomach. He had just felt the baby kick him.

“What the?” Renkotsu waited for a few minutes and then he felt the kicking again. Renkotsu's serious face went to calm one and he had to force a smile.

“So you have finally decided to make yourself known eh? Well, that will remind me that you are still in there…”

“Who's still in there?”

Renkotsu turned back in shock to see Suikotsu standing at the door with the door open. He kind of turned white and blushed. “No one…”

“Renkotsu….what are you talking about? Who is this person that you are talking about?”

Renkotsu sighed. He could not fool Suikotsu as easily as the rest of the group.

“I am talking about the baby…..its kicking me right now…”

“Wow…really?” Suikotsu said as his eyes lit up with happiness.

“Yep….you can feel it Suikotsu if you want to..” Renkotsu took his friend's hand and placed it on his stomach. Suikotsu stood there for a few minutes and then he looked at Renkotsu. “Renkotsu…the baby just kicked me…”

Renkotsu grinned as he sat down back at his desk and began once again on the blueprints.

Suikotsu walked up to Renkotsu and said,” Renkotsu…I need to take a look at you today..”

Renkotsu sat down his blueprints. “Why? I am doing alright…”

“Well….its the 6th month mark and you are at a critical stage right now…besides..you are looking bigger than normal pregnant people…even Bankotsu was not that big…”

“Oh so now you are telling me that I am fat!?!?!!?” Renkotsu said as he tried to punch Suikotsu in the jawbone.

“no Renkotsu! I am just saying that its strange!!! I want to look at you now due to the fact that I have to go into town to make some house calls this afternoon….”

“Oh..ok then..” Renkotsu said as he walked out of the room with Suikotsu and down the hallway.

Suikotsu opened the door to his room and Renkotsu and him stepped inside.

“Don't you think that Ginkotsu wants to be in here as well? This is his child too?” Suikotsu asked as he got his medical things out.

Renkotsu nodded. “Ginkotsu! Come in here!”

Ginkotsu walked into the room and asked, “What is it Renkotsu?”

“Umm…Suikotsu is going to examine me and see how the baby is doing..I thought that maybe you want to find out how your child is doing..”
Ginkotsu nodded and said,” I sure would..”

Suikotsu smiled. “Good ….Renkotsu lay down on the bed so I can examine you..”

Renkotsu nodded and layed down on the bed. Suikotsu got close to the bed and pressed down on Renkotsu's stomach and felt around to feel where the baby was positioned at for the time being.

“Hmm…it feels like the baby's head is on your left side and the feet are on the right..he is in a side position right now..”

“No wonder it feels like I have to pee every few minutes..” Renkotsu muttered.

Ginkotsu and Suikotsu chuckled soflty as Suikotsu took the heart probe out of his bag. He placed some gel on Renkotsu's stomach and moved the probe around until he heard the heartbeat.

“Hmm….143 beats a minute…that is good for this child…I wonder though..why this child is so large…there is only one in there…..”

“It maybe b/c of my oni heritage.. I am part oni after all..” Ginkotsu said as Suikotsu cleaned off Renkotsu's stomach.

“That is true…but how is your appetite Renkotsu? Is it increasing or have you noticed?” Suikotsu said as he washed his hands.

“Well..to tell you the truth…I have noticed that my appetite has increased a little bit…” Renkotsu said as he sat up on the side of the bed.

“I can tell it too by the way he was eating yesterday..” Ginkotsu said as Renkotsu hit him with a pillow.

Suikotsu chuckled as he told Renkotsu, “Just make sure that you eat right and do your exercises…”

“I will Suikotsu..I promise and thanks again…” Renkotsu said as he got up from the bed and walked out of the room with Ginkotsu.

“So..what were you doing when Suikotsu stopped you Renkotsu?”

“Oh…I was finishing up the plans for your arm…I need a project to do while I am stuck in this house and besides, when this baby comes, I will not have the time to do it…”

“That is true…just be careful when you are doing that..in fact, why don't you get someone to help you now that you have the plans almost done?”

“Hmm…I guess so…but who would I get?” Renkotsu said looking confused.

“Well…since the others are busy for the time being maybe..I could help you…”

“Really Ginkotsu? That would be great!” Renkotsu said as they walked back to Renkotsu's room.

“Sure…you are going to need help and besides, I can handle the heavy stuff so that way it does not put any pressure on the baby..” Ginkotsu said as Renkotsu closed the door behind them.

So…what can I do?” Ginkotsu asked as Renkotsu gathered his things.

“We need to go outside to do this…I don't want to catch the house on fire..”

“Fair enough…” Ginkotsu said as he helped Renkotsu with the heavy metal.

As Renkotsu was gathering the stuff, Ginkotsu looked at him. His belly was bulging out more since the last time Ginkotsu had took a look at him. Renkotsu's face had changed as well…it was noticeable that his face filled out a little bit due to the weight gain and his cheeks were very rosy.Ginkotsu could have sworn he seen a calm look at Renkotsu's face as Renkotsu walked out of the room and into the hallway.

Ginkotsu had to smile to himself. “He looks even more beautiful when he is pregnant…”

Renkotsu and Ginkotsu walked out of the house and to the back where Ginkotsu sat the heavy stiff down.

“Okay..let's see….if I attach this to here…” Renkotsu began working on the arm. He placed a couple of things together and blew fire on them.

“Do you really think that its safe to blow fire while you are pregnant?” Ginkotsu said worried like.

Renkotsu shook his head. “I asked Suikotsu about that and he said that it would not harm the baby in anyway shape or form…now…how would you like your arm? Do you want it to be like you old one or do you want some more things on it?”

“Hmm…how about a little bit of both?”

“I will see what I can do….” Renkotsu said as he went back to work on the arm.

It took Renkotsu almost all day but at last, he finished Ginkotsu's arm. He carefully placed the arm through Ginkotsu's socket.

“There! Done! How is it Ginkotsu?”

Ginkotsu moved his mechanical arm around a bit and then he said,” Its great Renkotsu…thanks!”

Renkotsu smiled and said,” Don't mention it…I am hungry….I wonder who is cooking tonight…”

“Want to go see?”

Renkotsu nodded. “Sure”

Renkotsu and Ginkotsu walked into the house and straight to the kitchen to see Amadala and Bankotsu in the kitchen cooking.

“Hey guys! What are we having tonight?” Renkotsu asked.

“Oh hey Renkotsu…we are having rice and veggies tonight..” Amadala said as they finished up the dinner.

“Cool…..I am so hungry..it seems like now that I am pregnant…I am eating every hour on the hour….”

Bankotsu and Amadala looked at each other and laughed as hard as they could.

“WHAT”S SO FUNNY!?!?!?!?!” Renkotsu shouted.

“Renkotsu….that is normal…I ate a lot when I was pregnant with Ayana….” Bankotsu said as he got the bowls and cups down.

“Oh really? Wow…..I am eating enough for an army and even then I am still hungry plus worst of all…my chest feels like its on fire…”

“Oh that's b/c you are producing Breast milk…….”

“Breat—BREASTMILK!??!?!?!??!” Renkotsu shouted in shock.

“Well…sure..I mean..the baby has got to eat…..” Amadala said.

“WHAT THE HELL!?!?!??!?! I AM NOT ONLY HAVING THE BABY BUT NOW I GOT TO FEED IT TOO!!!!!” Renkotsu shouted.

Ginkotsu was in shock as well. “Now he has to breast-feed too? Wow…this pregnancy thing keeps getting weirder and weider…”

“Renkotsu..it will be ok…I promise…I done it and I turned out fine..” Bankotsu said.

“But what if I can't do it!!?!?!??!!? I am so scared right now it hurts…” Renkotsu said as he walked out of the room.

Amadala and Bankotsu looked at each other and sighed.

“Maybe you should talk to him Bankotsu…”

“no….I will talk to him Amadala….he needs his lover beside him more than anything now…” Ginkotsu said as he walked out of the room.

Ginkotsu walked out of the room and down the hallway. “Renkotsu..it will be okay..I promise…it will be okay..”
