DANTE LEARNS THE WAYS OF A TRAINER!!!

(I don't own any of these characters…)

Dante walked at a brisk pace through a large forest for what seemed like hours. He went through the forest and a small city known as Viridian City. He kept walking and thinking about what he had done.

"Well what can I do? It's all behind me. The only honorable thing to do would be to carry out his 'quest' or 'return his stuff'." Hey Pikachu, do I need to take you somewhere near here or something like that?"

"Pi...PIKA, PI PIKACHU!" Pikachu said as he pointed to a large distant object. Dante put his hand over his eyes to block the sunlight. His eyes squinted as he gazed at the distant object. It was then that Dante realized that it was a very small town.

"There, That god-forsaken piece of sh…? I mean, yeah I'll take ya there!" Dante said as he started walking towards the town. "Oh Pikachu, once we get there you need to show me where to go."

"Pi Pikachu!" Pikachu said with a smile. After he said this Pikachu playfully shocked Dante while riding on his shoulder.

"OW! Damn you Pikachu! Why the hell did you do something like that?"

"Pikachu…" he said with a sad look on his face.

"Pikachu! If you ever do that again…AW SHUCKS! I can't stay mad at face like that."

"PIKA!" Pikachu said with a cheer.

"Now lets get going!" Dante said as he turned back to the city. As Dante took his first step a noise was heard from some nearby tall grass. Dante stopped and then looked over at the grass in confusion. "Who's there?!?!" he yelled.

After he got no response from the person or thing in the grass Dante decided to take matters into his own hands. He pulled out his sword, Sparta, and swung at the tall grass. The grass was chopped up and all that remained was a little pokémon. It was a very small bird. Dante pulled out the pokédex that he stole, er… borrowed from Ash. He wasn't quite sure how to use it so he pointed at the bird and opened it.

"Hey! Who the hell are you? You are not Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town. You are not authorized to use this pokédex. Please return this to Ash immediately!" the pokédex said in a robot like voice.

"It's okay. Ash is dead, I mean, uh… he gave me permission to use you. Yeah, that's it!" Dante replied nervously.

"Well okay then. First off, you can call me Dexter. Second…"

"Okay, Okay. I already know how to use you…I tried before you started bitching about me not being Ash."

"Well…okay then. C-ya." Dexter said as he made a sad face appear on the screen.

"I didn't think computers had feelings but who cares! Time to find out what this bird is!" Dante yelled as he did a gay, pointing thing at the bird. "Oh crap. I'm turning into that kid."

"This is the pokémon Spearow. Spearow is a bird type that has a temper and uses Peck." Dexter said when Dante pointed it at the bird.

"A Spearow. Hmm…All right Pikachu, let's battle it!" Dante yelled. "KILL IT! GO! ATTACK NOW!" he yelled.

"Might I interrupt?" Dexter said.

"What!?" Dante said sarcastically.

"You have to give Pikachu a command with an attack it knows. I'll bring up a list of its attacks on my screen. Here they are, please select one."

"Uh…Pikachu do Thunder!"

"PIKA!!!!!" Pikachu yelled as a huge electric blast shot up out of hi and hit Spearow.

"SPEAROW!" It yelled as it fell over.

"Damn, what an overkill." Dante said. "Wait a second though, wasn't that attack called thunder?"

"Yes it was." Dexter said

"Well then why did lightning come out of Pikachu?" Wouldn't that attack be called lightning?"

"Well Thunder is an attack that…Okay so maybe you did find a flaw in the attack system but it doesn't matter. Now do me a favor and don't ever question the attack names again." Dexter replied.

"Okay I won't. It just seems like thunder would paralyze your opponent with fear or something like that."

"Well it doesn't, so shut up and deal with it!"

"Fine…" Dante sighed as he rolled his eyes.

"Pikachu, Pi! Pi Pikachu!" Pikachu said to Dante.

"I don't know what the hell you're saying but I do know that we need to get to that city." Dante replied with a happy grin.

"I think that's what it said." Dexter interrupted.

"I DON'T CARE!" Dante yelled. "Now let's go!"

Dante let Pikachu jump up on his shoulder and then he started walking towards the city.

It was about twenty-five minutes later when Dante reached the city. "Wow, what a piece of crap town. I mean, uh…It's wonderful!" Dante muttered. "So Pikachu, where do we go now?"

"PI PIKACHU!" Pikachu said as he pointed towards a giant laboratory that was down the road.

"Oh, okay then!" Dante said as he walked towards the lab.

As Dante got close to the lab, an old man in a lab coat came out of a door and started walking towards them. Behind him was a woman who had a Mr. Mime.

"Hey there stranger!" the old man said in a cheery voice. "I knew you would be here, and I know why. That pokédex sent me a message so I prepared the lab for you. Come on in!" He said.

"Oh! Uh...okay." Dante replied nervously as he started to follow the man and woman.

They got to the old man's office quickly and sat down at a round table.

"Now Dante. I know why you're here. I know about you. Thanks to that pokédex I was able to find out everything that happened. Now lets go ahead and set everything right here so we can go ahead and end this stupid chapter."

Dante nodded his head in agreement with the old man. "So you know everything that happened to that kid?"

"Yes. Thanks to that pokédex!"

Dante leaned under the table and got Dexter out. "You jerk. Why the hell would you tell on me?"

"I'M SORRY! I HAD TO DO IT! I HAD NO CHOICE! I'M SORRY!" Dexter replied nervously.

"Well make sure it doesn't happen again!" Dante said in an angry tone. Then he came up from under the table. "Sorry, I dropped a penny."

"Oh, Okay!" the old man replied. "Now Dante, my name is Professor Oak. This lady next to me is the young boy's mom. Meet Mrs. Ketchum!"

"Hi Mrs. Ketchum! I'm very sorry that I killed your son for no reason."

Mrs. Ketchum was crying while Dante apologized. "Oh, my poor Ash! How could you?"

"I said I was sorry." Dante said as he gave the sad puppy eyes to Mrs. Ketchum.

"Oh, okay. I mean at least you said you were sorry!" she replied cheerfully.

"What an idiot." Dante thought to himself.

"Excuse me!" Prof. Oak interrupted. "Dante, since you have killed this young pokémon trainer I have come up with a solution. It is only fair that you continue on his quest. It's not much. All you have to do is to win the badge that Ash was going to get. Then return here and you can leave."

"No! That's not cool! Come on, there must be something else I can do!" Dante pleaded.

"Well you can do this or go to jail and possibly be put to death."

"FINE! I'll do the quest!" Dante yelled in a sarcastic tone. "Now where is this place?"

"Well it's not that far, but I'm not sure of the exact way there so you'll have to find out."

"You've got to be kidding me. You don't know the way!?" Dante said with a shocked look.

"No. I'm a pokémon professor, not a guide. Now Dante, I don't want you going alone so I'm sending two people with you. Meet Misty and Brock."

"Oh no, not that guy. Professor Oak, please don't make us go with him!" Misty yelled as soon as she saw Dante.

"Yeah, he might get angry for no reason and kill us." Brock said.

"Look. I know I killed your little friend for no reason and I apologize. It won't happen again. Cross my heart!" Dante said.

"Okay, we'll go, but if you try anything then we will leave!" Misty replied.

"Well then, I guess you all should be heading off. You need to start on your journey now so you can teach Dante stuff about the world of pokémon."

"Okay Prof. Oak!" Brock said as they started walking off into the sunset.

"Good-bye! Have fun!" Mrs. Ketchum yelled as Dante, Misty, and Brock walked off.
