Pokemon Fan Fiction / Pokemon Fan Fiction / Fan Fiction ❯ Dante becomes a Pokemon trainer! ❯ Dante Arrives at Blackthorn! ( Chapter 3 )
DANTE REACHES BLACKTHORN!
"Do you know where we are?" Dante asked in a whiny voice.
"Shut up Dante! It's your fault we are here in the first place. Now quit complaining!" Misty yelled.
"Okay. Stupid bit…"
"WHAT?!" Misty interrupted.
"Nothing." Dante said in a little voice.
"Look you two, we'll never get anywhere if you argue like that!" Brock yelled.
"You're right." Misty sighed. "I'm sorry Dante."
"It's okay."
"Okay now that I've solved that, let me ask you something Dante. Do you even know a thing about pokémon?"
"Well I know the thunder attack and that's about it. It doesn't matter though, I have a big ass sword if I lose!"
"Oh god, looks like you've got something's to learn about pokémon. Brock, care to teach him?" Misty asked.
"Sure thing." Brock then pulled a lab coat out of nowhere and then pulled a blackboard out of nowhere and got a clipboard out. "Now," he said as he put on glasses. "There are currently about 350 types of pokémon known. They are divided into types that include fire, water, lighting, rock, fighting, poison, bug, dark, steel, psychic, grass and more. Now as a trainer it is your duty to collect as many pokémon as you can and become a pokémon master. But you have a different case going here so you need one badge."
"Okay I know! Now get to these so-called pokémon!"
"Fine! As a trainer you are only allowed to carry six pokémon. One of yours is Pikachu. The other five are on your belt. To see them just grab the pokéball and throw it at the ground."
"Okay, quick question though. Why is Pikachu not in these pokéball things?"
"Because Pikachu hates being in a pokéball. Now lets see the rest of your pokémon!"
Dante glared at Pikachu, who was on his shoulder. "Brat."
"Pika." Pikachu said as he glared back at Dante.
Dante then took the five pokéballs on his belt and held them in his hand. They were very tiny but he knew creatures were inside. "What do I do to make the creatures pop out of here?"
"Hit the button and then throw it at the ground." Brock replied.
"Okay, here it goes!" Dante then hit the center button, which enlarged the ball. Then he threw the ball towards the ground. The ball popped open and a creature appeared. The pokéball then returned to Dante's hand. "Wow." Dante said as his eyes were fixed on the creature.
"Good job Dante! That pokémon is a grass type. It is a Bayleef!"
"Bay!" Bayleef cried as it saw Brock.
"Now I will release the rest." Dante grunted as he threw the rest of his pokéballs. Dante then took the remaining four of his pokéballs and threw them. Just like the first, the other four balls sprouted a creature.
"Let's see, these pokémon are Snorlax, Heracross, Charizard, and Tauros. Snorlax is a normal type, Heracross is a bug type, Charizard is a fire type, Tauros is also normal type, Bayleef is grass type, and Pikachu, as I'm sure you know, is electric type. Here are your pokémon." Brock said while taking off his lab coat.
"Well great, now let's get going!" Dante said as he put the pokémon back in their balls.
The three of them continued on their path for several days. They made their way north until they reached Blackthorn City. The gym in Blackthorn City was the dragon gym. Once you beat the gym leader, Clair, you could receive her badge. Once you had all eight badges then you could enter the pokémon league. Dante needed this badge in order to fulfill his; I mean Ash's quest.
"Well, here is the gym Dante." Misty said shyly.
"Yeah. I'm sure glad I got battle experience on the way here or else I'd be screwed. Thanks you guys!"
"Wow Dante, you said thank you! Looks like we taught you more that pokémon. Hahaha…okay so that was a lame joke." Brock blushed as Misty and Dante stared him down.
Shortly after some last minute discussions, they went into the gym. When they entered they saw a lady across a flat, marked floor.
"Do you wish to have my badge?" The lady asked.
"If you are Clair, then yes I do!" Dante yelled assuredly.
"That's strange, you seem like you don't belong here. You are very odd looking."
"Shut it Clair, let's battle!"
"Fine then, prepare to feel the wrath of my dragons!" Clair yelled as she threw a pokéball. Her pokémon was a long, blue dragon.
"Dragonair!" It squealed.
"Go, pokéball!" Dante yelled as he threw his pokéball. He made a wise decision, he sent out his Snorlax. Snorlax was a normal type but it knew Ice punch, and dragons are weak against ice.
"We will use three pokémon each. Begin!" Clair screamed. "Dragonair, Dragon Rage!"
Dragonair built up a huge blast and shot it at Snorlax.
"Dodge it now!" Dante said in a panic.
Snorlax jumped out of the way and dodged the attack.
"Move in closer Snorlax!"
Snorlax jumped up and landed face to face with Dragonair.
"Now, Ice punch!"
Snorlax took his fist and charged up with an ice attack and lunged at Dragonair.
"No! Dragonair!" Clair cried out.
Dragonair felt the burn of the ice and the power of Snorlax's fist and couldn't stand a single attack. Dragonair fell over and could no longer continue the battle.
"Return Dragonair." Clair said. "One down, two left for me. Now get ready to be obliterated! Go Gyarados!"
A long, snake like creature appeared. It was blue and looked like a Chinese dragon. "Gyarados, hydro pump!" Clair pointed at Snorlax to designate the target of the ferocious water assault.
"Try to dodge it Snorlax!"
It was too late for Snorlax. The water from Gyarados's attack came surging in and knocked Snorlax into a nearby wall, removing him from the fight.
"Return Snorlax. Now I'm going to use something to counter your water! Go Pikachu!"
Pikachu came forward and stared at the larger pokémon.
"THUNDER ATTACK, NOW!" Dante yelled at the top of his lungs.
Pikachu conjured up a large blast of electricity and shot it directly at the water type pokémon. This was a major type advantage for Pikachu and it showed. Gyarados fell over immediately and was removed from battle.
"No, only one pokémon left!" Clair cried out as she returned Gyarados back to its pokéball. "All right, go Dragonite!"
A very large dragon pokémon appeared. It stood about seven feet tall and was a dull yellowish color. "Dragonite, dragon rage attack now!"
Dragonite flew towards Pikachu and charged up its blast. Pikachu moved quickly but Dragonite caught up just as quick. There was no escape for Pikachu. The blast hit Pikachu sending him back towards Dante. Pikachu hit the ground with a thud at Dante's feet.
"Pikachu!" Dante yelled as Pikachu fainted. "No, not Pika…oh well, I still have Charizard to beat you with! Go Charizrd!"
A large winged dragon appeared blowing flames in the air.
"Charizard, I need you to do something. Grab Dragonite, take him in the air then use Fire Blast right there. Then finish him with Seismic Toss. Go, now!" Dante yelled.
"CHAR!" It screeched.
Charizard started chasing Dragonite around the room at a very fast pace.
"Dragonite, Hyper Beam!"
Dragonite prepared a new, more powerful blast aimed at Charizard.
"Get behind Dragonite and use Wing Attack before you lift him up."
Charizard quickly flew behind Dragonite before he finished charging his Hyper Beam Attack. Charizard then took his wing and hit Dragonite in the back with it. Then Charizard followed this attack by lifting Dragonite far above the ground.
"Fire Blast!"
Charizard blew a large amount of flames all over Dragonite then flew downwards while still holding on to Dragonite.
"Seismic Toss!"
Charizard reached very close to the ground before letting go of Dragonite and flying upwards. Dragonite hit the ground with a huge impact and Charizard was unscathed.
"No! My Dragonite can't go on! You can't win! NO!" Clair cried.
"YES I DID IT!" Dante squealed with joy.
Dante received his badge after the match and headed back down to Professor Oak's lab where he returned Ash's pokémon, pokéballs, and pokédex.
"Good job Dante, I'm proud of you."
"Thanks professor. I'm just glad I can leave now!"
"Uh, Dante, sir. Why don't you just stay here and lie with us and become a pokémon trainer?" Misty asked shyly.
"Well I guess. I mean after all, I don't know how to get home. In fact, I will stay here. At least until I find away to get back home." Dante replied firmly.
"Oh yeah…home." Misty said blushing.
Professor Oak then coughed and said in a cheery voice, "Well Dante, welcome to the wondrous world of pokémon…until you leave, then it's back to normal except for the whole Ash being dead thing."
