A pice of the past

Buffy awoke late the next morning. It was at least noon. She hurt so much. Of course she'd slept with Tyler before, But Nuka was ruff. And it was quite a struggle to behold. She sat up slowly. What about Karie?! Her mind shrieked. "Oh God, Karie, she's probley still waiting for me..." She said, ashamed.
Nuka walked calmly into through the door, as though nothing had happened the previous night. "I went and got your friend." He seemed to spit, Though his voice stayed calm as a grazing doe. "Get up and dressed." He stepped forward, wrapping his tail lightly around her neck, his blade at her throat. His eyes seemed to smile. "Dont act funny. I told her you wern't well enough to show up. I also told her you we're both comming back to the palace with me." He tightened his tail for enphisis.
Her eyes went dull looking into his. Her life was ruined, worthless. And now Karie was stuck going down with her. He slowly released his tail and he left the room without word or sound. Leaving her there, standing naked.

Spike, Kaley and Davis were all still in Kaley's room. They'd devised a plan. The would 'pretend' They owned Kaley and calmly walk down the hall with her. "Hopefully no one will be suspisus." Kaley whispered. And she had a point. Almost everyone knew who she was. They set off down the hall. Quietly as possible. They'd walked down many hallways, all looking very the same. And they had now come to yet another fork.
Davis turned to Kaley. "Where to now?" Davis seemed to mock. "How the fucking hell should I know?" She yelled in response, just a little too loudly. "Who goes there?" A voice came from down the hall. "Shit!" Spike said. Kaley looked a little guilty. "Never mind." Spike smiled warmly. "Lets just get outta here!"
He ran down a random hallway to their right. "Does he even know where he's going?" Asked Kaley, no longer feeling so guilty for her foolishness. "Donno, we could find our way out, or he might lead us to a dead end, and our deaths." Davis laughed at the look of horror on her face. "Great." Kaley said sarcasticly, running out of breath.
Spike turned another corner, completely random as well. He had to think fast, this was their lives at stake! He saw the light at the end of the hallway. Yes! we're almost out! "Almost there!" Kaley shouted. The gaurd was still on there tail, they had to hurry.
They came back out into the stadium. Heading up the long strech of steps to one of the many exits. They made their way through the long sidewalk, getting away form the ring. They could see the Dark Palace form up here. "whoh." Kaley stared in amazment. "Stop right there!" The guard called form behind them. They were now heading down the stairs where the main exits were. They made it out!

Dalandow was sitting in his Royal chambers, waiting for his daughter. His servent Leopold was getting terribly nervous. When his master got angry or displeased, it wasnt somthing you wanted to be standing idealy around for.
"Leopold." He beconed. "Go and find her. I have no time to wiat for that insolent child." Leopold turned with a quick bow to find the princess Skeeta. Just as he turned, she entered the room. "Where have you been?" He questioned impatient for a straight answer. "Not tempting poor Tyson I hope." She glared at her Father in silence. Did he know, or did Tyson get her first in time to tattle? The asshole She thought.
She looked at her dad. "Why would you say that?" she asked, sitting at the other side of the table. "No reason." His black eyes met her sea green ones. "Just Tyson seemed quite pissed off in the Grand Hall at our meeting." He looked down to his plate. Skeeta picked up her fork. Lunch..... She thought trying to keep her mind from thinking about how much exactly her father knew.
"I know nothing of the sort." She lied. He suddenly dropped the fork he held in his hand, the through the knife he held at her. It missed her head by inches, digging itself into the wall beside Leopold. "Dont ever lie to me child!" He yelled at the room shook. She quickly nodded as leopold ran to retrive another knife.

Buffy had gotten dressed as told. She even did her hair nicely. She got her act together. Her and Karie were going to make it out of this, they would if it killed her.
She came out of her room to see Karie at the table, eating breakfast, Nuka was lying on the couch. Karie didnt know. She sighed. How to tell her? Without Nuka over hearing?
The sound of Buffy's sigh caught karie's attention, she looked up and saw Buffy standing in the doorway. She quietly got up and ran over to her. "Buffy.." Her voice cracked. "I've been so worried." She began to cry. Buffy hugged Karie back. Fuck Nuka. "I was too." Nuka got off the couch. "Enough of this sick display." He ordered.
"Hurry up and get ready to go." Karie looked confused. He'd seemed like such a nice gentleman before? She turned to Buffy. "What's going on? Why is he angry all of a sudden?" Buffy looked pitifly at her. She had no idea. "We're going to the palace." She looked at Karie, she was very confused.
"I know. Tyler's waiting at the Palace for you. Nuka said he resqued you after you were kidnapped, and that you were ill from a cold after spending a rainy night in the stables with the pigs. Then he'd brought you here to rest." If only Karie knew what a crock-of-shit she'd been told. "Yes." I spit. Nuka smiled at me, knowing he's won. "Shall we get back? Tyler is waiting, and anxouis to see you." Nuka sounded so kind. No wonder Kaire had fallen for the act, she'd have done the same. "Yes, I cant wait to see him." Buffy sounded as excited as possible. In her own way, mocking Nuka.
They got themselves packed. And Nuka bought two new horses, so he wouldn't have to double one of the women or worse, walk all the way.

Kaley stood in a huge stable. It's offaly nice of Spike to be buying me a horse... She thought. She wondered her way around the stable, looking at each horse carefully. "Which one?" she pondered on. Their were many strong steeds. And lots of beautiful and gentle mares. Every breed she's ever groomed was in this stable. But which one would like her the most? And yet, there were more still in the huge field outside yet to be bought from the rich man.
Davis and Spike were outside with him now, speaking of good traveling horses. They expected her to pick a young mare. But she had her eyes on a stallion. Pure black as night. Darker than a winter night. All black except his tail and mane, which were as white as the snow in December.
Spike would sure be impressed is she picked a stallion just like them. She decided on the blck male. She had really started to like Spike. She did owe him her life.
The man who owned the stables walked in with Davis and Spike behind him, a pouch of heavy coins in Spikes hand. "Have you picked one?" The rich man named Thedanoel asked. "Yes," She replied, "I want him." She pointed to the black male. Thedanoel Davis and Spike got worried looks. "Are you sure miss? He can be quite stubborn." Kaley smiled at the men, then looked at the horse as if it were a challange. "Yes, that's the one." She went up to the horse and blew on it's nose. A horse greeting. "If you want him, I geuss there's no stopping you." Thedanoel gave Spike the price. Kaley almost fainted, being 230 coins. 76 for Kaley's alone. Kaley was worried they wouldnt have enough for the three horses. But, to her shock, Spike counted out 230 coins and gave them to Thedanoel. Who smiled, closing his seventh sale of the day.
"Thanks alot." Said Kaley, mounting her new stallion. It seemed to adore her as much as she adored it. "It was nothing." Spike replied, as he and Davis got on their new horses as well. They were headed to save Buffy.

Skeeta sat in her room. She was again confide to it. She hadn't slept that night after supper. Her father's slight grin at her shock was terrifying. She'd went straight to her room as soon as her plate was clear. what a mix...
She now sat on her bed, grasping the Ring on the chain her mother had given her. It was getting warm. She drifted back to the last day she saw her mother.
*~Flashback~*

Soilders gaurded the Palace tight and heavealy. The wind was cold this Autumn. The snow had not yet come. And the cold hearted, ruthless King sat with his top men in his chambers, disscusinghis plans on findingthe one thing he searched for. A true treasure. It would give him the ultimate powers. Those of a sorcerer, a wizard Giving him long life. It would give you any wish you desired. He wanted this Ring, he craved and needed it.
The Queen sat in her quarters, not to be delt with. A slave in her own Palace. Only released for meals. Her daughter sat on the rug in front of the hearth, watching the flames within. Lighting up her young face. She was almost ten now. The Queen knew what her husband sought. She posesed it. It had been passed down her family of great Wizards, and sourcess' before her. She couldnt allow him to posses it.
"My daughter, come and sit on my lap." The Queen beconed. And her daughter Skeeta came. "Yes mommy?" She smiled. She hoped her mother would quiz her on some past ruler or lost city. She loved showing her mother how smart she was. The Queen Jeana smiled at her daughter. The Kings own sorcerer would tell him the Ring was in the Palace and he'd know it was her who possesed the evil thing. "Im going to give you a gift." The Queen would hide the Ring with their daughter, who would never wish for anything selfish. She would pass it on to the bearer, who would keep it safe. For 34 generations, her family had searched for the bearer. Mabey Skeeta would be the one to find this person. The little ones eyes lit up as her mother took the Ring from her neck and placed it on Skeeta's own. "Here my beloved angel, dont ever tell or show daddy of the ring." She began to explain. Confusing the little princess. "Why not?'' She asked. "Because, he wants it for bad things. But one day, a man or woman will come to the Palace and they will protect it. They will end the Ring's destruction."
She looked sadly at her daughter now. After these next few minutes, she would never meet those beautiful green eyes again. It was a shame. Her and her fourced husband were but 14 when married, she had already been preagnant when they were married. She then summond her maid to take the child to her own quaters, And the maid did as told. That was the last time Skeeta saw her mom.

*~end flashback~*

Skeeta snapped from her flashback. She heard the Palace horn, somone had arrived, But hwo? She thought for a moment.....Nuka! She felt a strange preasance. The Ring Bearer her mother had spoke of was here!
