Author's notes: Sorry the last chapter was so short. I hadn't realized that it was that short. >.> But I'm gonna make this one longer. I'll give it a title so that I can go farther without having to make a new chapter. Well here goes. R&R! ^^

James stood and walked over to the grill. He threw some patties on the heat and they sizzled, and soon the smell of cooking hamburgers filled their senses. "James, those smell great!" exclaimed Jessie. James nodded and stared longingly at the sizzling meat. "Don't they though?" he said dazedly.

Suddenly Meowth appeared at the tree line and started toward them. "Hey guys! Youse two cookin somethin?" asked Meowth as he sauntered into they're camp. "James is." Said Jessie looking over at her cerulean haired friend. Jessie looked at the drooling cat Pokemon and added, "What? You want some?" Meowth scowled at her, "Don't youse two tink youse gettin em all!" "Calm down Meowth. You know she was just kidding." said James, looking back at her for a reassuring nod. "Are you sure about that James?" Jessie teased. "Uh….Meowth…..maybe YOU should ask Jessie if she was kidding." said James, even though he knew she was. Meowth looked up at Jessie, "Jess, youse wouldn't do dat to an old fwiend wike me would ya?" Jessie gave him a reassuring smile. "No Meowth. You're welcome to have some as always." Meowth smiled in return and went to stand by James.

Just then realization hit Jessie and she looked over at James once more. "James……where did we get the money to buy hamburgers?" she queried, cocking her head. James did not reply, and she could tell she wouldn't get anything out of him without forcing it out. So she leaned back in her chair, smiling lovingly at James. Meowth noticed her loving gesture and smiled to himself. "Dis should be interestin." He said watching the two humans carefully. James discreetly looked over his shoulder at Jessie while she wasn't paying attention. Then Jessie would lower her sunglasses and gaze over at James while he was turned toward the hamburgers. As Meowth watched, he noticed her gaze sliding from James's hair, down his back, to his butt, lingering there then rising once more. She put her sunglasses back on the bridge of her nose and looked away. Once their eyes met and they both quickly turned away, a bright blush on their cheeks.

Later, James slowly turned to say, "The burgers are ready Jess." Jessie got out of her chair and walked over to him. "Yay! I'm famished." said Jessie happily. James smiled and said, "Me to Jess. So, let's eat!" He handed a burger to Jessie then one to Meowth. Having added what they liked to each of their burgers they sat down on a blanket and began wolfing them down. "These are great Jimmy!" Jessie uttered, mouth packed with hamburger.

James smiled and happily continued to eat his own, delicious burger. Jessie set hers down and asked, "Do we have anything to drink?" James nodded and stood walking over to a cooler. Jessie raised a brow and asked, "Uh….James? Where did we get the money for a cooler?" James again did no reply but asked, "So what'll it be? Coke?" Jessie smiled, "Sounds good to me."

James withdrew a coke from the cooler and closed the lid tightly. Walking back over to them he handed Jessie her soda and resumed his seat on the blanket. "Thanks." said Jessie popping it open. "Now, we need a plan of action. What are we gonna do about getting that Pikachu?" James looked at her glumly. "Jessie, why don't we take the advice you gave me earlier and use it to our advantage. Since the Boss won't care about one more failure, why don't we just take the day off? We have to report in tomorrow anyway, and while we're at it, why don't we plan to stay at Headquarters for a while. At least there, there is running water and a comfy bed." he smiled at her, awaiting, what he hoped would be, a good reply to his suggestion.

Jessie smiled at her friend. He was smarter than she gave him credit for. "If you really want to James." she said quietly. "I do. Let's just sit back and relax in the sun. You know, work on our tans, and run around in the water. Enjoy ourselves for once. Be carefree. Like normal people." She sighed. "But James, we're not normal people. We're Jessie, James, and Meowth. We work for Team Rocket. We don't get days off. We don't get to train our Pokemon or try and become Pokemon masters like other people. We're so poor we can hardly afford food let alone this luxury." She said looking over at the cooler. "Which, I still don't know where we got it from. We're just……just….us." said Jessie sadly, a single tear sliding down her face, which led to bursts of sobs.

James pulled her toward him and wrapped his arms around her. She laid her head against his chest and continued crying quietly. "I know Jess, but you gotta look on the bright side. We may not have much time for fun but we still have eachother and Meowth. We might be poor when it comes to money but we are rich because of our friendship. We have eachother and that's all we need." said James wiping the tears from Jessie's eyes with his thumb. She looked deeply into his emerald eyes with her azure ones and allowed a slight smile to pierce her lips.

His heart began pounding as he noticed the sudden closeness of her face and his. He was suddenly over taken by a great urge that he couldn't suppress. It was engulfing his very being and all he knew was that urge. The urge to kiss her, love her, forever. Jessie felt the same urge, felt her heart pounding, but moved closer to his face. "James, can I tell you something I've never told anyone before?" she asked, a mere inch from his face. He gulped and said, "You mean a secret?" She nodded. "Yes, a secret."

He gazed deeply into her beautiful azure eyes and smiled. "Of course. You can tell me anything." She smiled slightly and moved even closer. "James, I love you." She said seductively. "Oh Jess, I love you to. I always have and…it's just so touching! I love you, you love me! Oh Jessie!" James began to bawl. Jessie sweatdropped. "James, we just admitted our love for eachother and you're crying." "I'm sorry Jess, it's just that I'm so happy. For so long I've felt this way and wanted to tell you but could never find the courage to do so. Oh Jessie, I love you. So much." He said putting his hand against her cheek gently, then kissing her passionately.

When they broke apart for air, they took a moment to gaze deeply into eachother's eyes before sharing another passionate kiss. James lay back in the warm sand happily and Jessie back against him, laying her head against his chest, and marveling in the sweet taste that lingered in her mouth. From nearby they barely heard Meowth say, "It's so beautiful." And as he said it tears welled up in his eyes. Every other noise faded, for nothing was audible to the pair any longer except for the sweet touch of their bodies against one another. And with that, they fell asleep in eachother's arms.

Author's notes: It's still not very long but it's a little better. I never get enough time to type a long chapter. But when I do, I shall! ^^ R&R, I hope to make the next chapter longer, but I think that's it for tonight.
