[ P - Pre-Teen ]
It was Ash who broke the silence first.
“So, uh, you okay? With us, I mean.”
“Yeah. I really am, Ash. I've been dreaming of this for almost 7 years, pretty much right after I met you.”
“Wow. Cool, so you wanna do something tomorrow? Catch a movie?”
“Absolutely.” She reached up two inches and gave him a quick, teasing kiss, then took off running in the opposite direction, laughing. It took Ash almost a minute to realize what happened, then he started chasing her.
The next day…
The new couple walked leisurely to the movie theater, hand in hand.
“So, Misty. What do you want to see?”
“Oh, I don't know. Maybe something with a little romance?” She said slyly, giving him a side-glance, her eyes half closed.
“What ever makes me happy is great for me, Mist.”
Once they were seated in the very middle of the theater, a large tub of popcorn and two Cokes with them, they started thinking about each other, Ash's arm draped around Misty's shoulders.
She's so perfect. I can't believe what I've been dreaming about for 6 years is finally true! Well, almost…
Ash is such a sweetie. She glanced at him, and discovers him looking at him, a longing look in his eyes. When he realized that she was gazing at him, too, he leaned over and pressed his lips gently to hers. She was startled at first, and then returned the kiss.
Later that evening, when Ash and Misty were having a friendly battle, Ash got a telephone call.
“Ring! Ring! Phone call! Phone call!” Misty ran to answer the phone, paused for a second, then called to Ash. He ran over and gently took the phone.
“Hello?”
“Hi, Ash. It's Professor Oak. I just wanted to let you the
Pokemon league challenge is starting up again. Why don't you give it a try?”
“Oh, yeah! I forgot about that! Thanks, Professor!”
“Of course. Well, I better get going. Kinglier has a cold.”
Click.
“Misty, did you hear? The pokemon league is starting again! I have to enter…this could be it!”
“Yeah. You should totally enter, Ash. I'll be right there cheering you on.” She hugged him. “When is it?”
“Day after tomorrow. We should probably leave tomorrow if we want to be there in time.”
“Okay. Maybe Charizard can fly us.”
“Yeah.”
The next day around 2 p.m., the trio arrived. (Ash, Misty, Pikachu) they got a hotel right next to the battle arena. They were on there way back from signing up, and were looking forward to a little relaxation. Once in the hotel room, Misty flopped down on her double bed.
“Ahhh. This is wonderful.”
“Uh, Misty? I'm gonna go into town for a little while. I'll be back in about 1hour.”
“I'll come with you.” She said rising from the bed.
“No! I mean, you're so tired… I'll be right back.”
“Well…okay.”
Once out of the hotel room, Ash heaved a sigh. He then proceeded to the front desk for directions.
“Excuse me. Do you know where the nearest jewelry store is?”
“Yes. Just walk out the front doors, make a left, and continue walking for about 5 minutes. There's a jewelers called Jinx's Ruby.”
“Thanks.”
Ash did as he was told. He stopped outside the store, heaved a great sigh of nerves, and walked inside.
“Ladies and gentlemen! I am honored to introduce…Ash Ketchum! And his opponent, Gary Oak!”
“What!!” yelled both Ash and Misty.
“Let the battle begin!”
Ash, over his shock, sent out Pikachu, while Gary sent out Umbreon.
“Pikachu Agility then Thunder!” cried Ash.
“Umbreon! Do psychic!
As the pokemon followed their orders, Pikachu dodged the psychic, but Umbreon wasn't fast enough. The Thunder attack knocked him out cold. The rest of the battle went like this. Then at the end of the fight, the announcer claimed ash the winner, which meant he was a Pokemon Master!
“Ladies and gentlemen, I give you our newest Champion!”
The crowd went wild, but Ash could hear Misty screaming louder that anyone else. When it was time to hear a few words from Ash, he walked up, took the microphone, and said,” Thank you all so much. I never could have done this without my friends fighting with me, or without-“ at that moment, Ash fingered with the tiny box in his pocket. “Without the woman I love. Misty, come down here please.” When she realized what Ash had just said, she blushed crimson. Every spectator had turned to look for the person Ash had meant. Without much choice, she got up and walked down to where Ash was waiting. Once there she glared at him angrily. The next moment she forgot her anger, for Ash had sank down to one knee, pulling something out of his pocket. “Misty…I love you with all my heart. I can't imagine life without you. Will you marry me?” Misty gasped. Everyone on the audience, even the pokemon, seemed to hold their breath. “YES! Yes I'll marry you!” She then leapt at Ash, kissing him greatly. Everyone in the crowd awwwwwwed.Later that night, when they were getting ready for bed, Misty snuggled closer to Ash, as they watched the match on T.V. “Ash?” “Yeah?” he was nearly asleep. “I'm glad we can lead a life together.” “Me too.” He leaned down and kissed her for a moment, then slumped back on the pillows, fast asleep.
