Pokemon Fan Fiction / Pokemon Fan Fiction ❯ Pokemon: Ash & Misty's perfect love ❯ ch.3: the wedding ( Chapter 3 )

[ P - Pre-Teen ]

Ash and Misty were planning the wedding for February 14th. That would give them 1 1/2 months to get used to the idea, tell friends and family, and get ready. They were going to flying back to Cerulean to tell Misty's sisters, then to Pallet for Ash's family.
A few days after the proposal, they got aboard Charizard for the trip home. Ash in the front, Misty in back, her arms around his waste. They arrived in Cerulean around 11 a.m., about an hour after they left. The couple walked the short distance to Cerulean Gym, to tell Misty's sisters. When they got there, Lily, Violet, and Daisy were appalled to find the two holding hands. They demanded an explanation, and screamed with shock and joy when they heard the news. It took Ash and Misty almost an hour before they could leave for Pallet.
“Well, anyway, the wedding is on Valentines day. We'll see you then.”
Misty really wanted to leave. She was beginning to get embarrassed.
“All right, Misty. We'll see you next month.”

“Oh, that's wonderful, honey!” cried Mrs. Ketchum. “When is the wedding?”
“Valentines day.” Answered Ash.
“Oh, how romantic…”
That statement caused both Ash and Misty to turn a deep shade of crimson.
“You two should probably find somewhere to live. You know you'll always be welcome here, but you probably want your own place.”
“She's right, Ash.”
“Yeah. Lets go look for a place now.”
The two left the small kitchen. Delia started to cry. “My little baby is all gown up…”

About 1 hour after home searching, the couple found a roomy apartment.
“This would be perfect, Misty. Ocean view, two floors, 3 bedrooms…”He cast a side glance in her direction. She blushed.
”You mean in case we expand…”
“Yeah. Maybe we should talk about that sometime. I definitely want kids, but maybe in a couple years…”
“I agree, Ash.”

Later that night, the two just finished packing all of Ash's things, they flopped down on the mattress.
“I'm exhausted.” Sighed Ash. “We could go back to the gym tomorrow and get all of your stuff, Misty.”
“That's a good idea, Ash. Does that mean we'll move tomorrow? I don't have that much stuff…”
“Yeah, maybe. We could go buy some stuff, too. With all the prize money I won at the Pokemon challenge, we'll have enough for a while.”
“Okay, it's a plan.” Said Misty.

“That's the last box. Lets take them to the house, Ash.”
“Okay.”
As the truck carrying all of their things drives towards their new home, Ash and Misty head to the department store to do a little shopping. They had decided to decorate their new house with a water/electricity theme, seeing as that was there favorite types of pokemon. (Though Ash would never admit it) after a couple hours of shopping, Ash and Misty headed to their new house, their arms loaded with parcels.
“Can you believe its already been 1 1/2 months? I can't believe were getting married tomorrow.”
“Neither can I, Ash. I'd better be going. I'll see you tomorrow.”
“W-wait! Where are you going?”
“You know it's bad luck to see the bride on the day of your wedding.”
“Oh. Yeah.” He looked slightly disappointed.
“Don't worry. I'll see you tomorrow.”

The day of the wedding started bright and early. Somehow, Brock had come to Ash's house to get him ready. He made him shower, come his hair, brush his teeth, etc. by the time Ash was ready he felt like he had been dragged through a car wash.
“Hey, Brock? How much time do we have left?”
“About an hour. Why?”
But Ash wasn't there. He had run to the bathroom, to throw up.
“Nerves.” Said Brock.

Misty's morning wasn't any better. Her sisters put her through the same routine as Ash had. But somehow, she got through it. She had been thinking that in only a few hours she would be Mrs. Ash Ketchum. Her heart fluttered every time she said that beautiful name. She sighed.
“What's the matter, Misty?” asked Violet.
“Oh, nothing. I'm just thinking.”
Understanding, Violet pulled Misty into a hug/ “My sister is all grown up.”
“Stop it! You'll mess up your make up!” said misty, laughing.

Finally, it was time for the reception to start. The wedding march started. Ash was waiting on the alter, while one of Brock's little sisters came down the isle as the flower girl. Hen Brock appeared, with Misty on his arm, and Ash forgot everyone else.
She was in a beautiful gown of white silk, with a soft blue colored veil. She was amazing.
In what seemed like no tome, she and ash were looking into each others eyes, hands clasped.
“Dearly beloved. We are gathered here today to legally bond this couple in holy matrimony. If any one has a reason why these two should not be wed, speak now or forever hold your peace.”
Ash and Misty waited with baited breath. Nothing.
“Good. Ash, do take Misty Williams as you lawfully wedded wife? To have and to hold, to love and cherish, as long as you both shall live?”
“I do.”
“Misty, do take Ash Ketchum to be your lawfully wedded husband? To have and to hold, to love and cherish, as long as you both shall live?”
“I do.”
“Than by the power invested in me, I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride.”
