Chapter 1

Kanto Journies: Chapter 1: The Beginning: Richie was exited, today was the day he would get his first pokemon, he already knew what he would get, Charmander, all the males on his dad's side had gotten that. In fact, all the oldest males on his dad's side of the family had been the world's greatest flying type master. He went to Professor Oak and asked for Charmander, got it, then went to Route 1 to look for some flying type pokemon to accompany Charmander.

A few minutes after I left Professor Oak's lab, my mean next-door neighbor, Otto, came running out of the lab and challenged me. I threw out my Charmander, he threw out his Squritle, and then the battle began. The battle was Richie's Charmander vs. Otto's Squirtle. My Charmander started with scratch and Squirtle was hit hard with the attack, then Otto's Squirtle used tackle, which hit Charmander hard, but not as hard as the scratch hurt Squirtle. Charmander used another Scratch, which seemed to work better then the last time and even knocked out Squirtle.

After beating that nasty Otto, Richie went back home and rested for a few hours, with his Charmander. After their nice long nap, Richie went onto Route one, and crashed into a trainer, who said his name was Taylor. They did a 1 on 1 battle with Charmander vs. Squirtle. Squirtle started with a tackle and Charmander used scratch, another tackle by Squirtle knocked out Charmander. Richie asked Taylor if he wanted to join his journey and Taylor accepted so, the two trainers continued on their journey now together. (Richie is trying to assume his fathers role by being the world's greatest flying type trainer while Taylor is trying to assume his dad's role and be the best water type trainer).

Chapter 4: The first capture: After the battle, Richie and Taylor moved on to Vidrian City, and they went to the pokemon center and healed their pokemon. After going to the pokemon center, the 2 went to the pokemart where Richie bought 5 pokeballs (note, Taylor already had 5 pokeballs one of which he used to catch a Staryu, which he found by using a Super Rod he was given by his Grandfather.) Then they went back to route 1 for a few minutes so Richie could catch a Pidgey. After searching for a few minutes, Richie found a wild Pidgey (level 4), and sent out his Charmander (level 6, after beating Otto's Squirtle). Charmander started with a scratch, while the Pidgey tackled Charmander, another scratch by Charmander was immediately followed by another tackle by Pidgey. One more scratch by Charmander and another tackle by the wild Pidgey, and the Pidgey was weak enough for Richie to capture. Then Richie threw a pokeball and it shook, once, twice, three times, and Pidgey was caught! After Richie's capture, Richie and Taylor visited the Pokemon Center in Vidrian one last time, Richie healing his Pidgey, while he was waiting Richie asked what other pokemon Taylor had besides his Squirtle. Taylor replied that before he left home his grandfather had given him a super rod, and after healing here a good bit before facing Richie, and after healing but before facing Richie he had bought some pokeballs and gone out to fish and had gotten a Staryu on the hook. He had Squirtle face it and after 5 tackles each. Taylor threw a pokeball at it and caught it, and then he had healed then faced Richie. Once Taylor was done talking and Richie's Pidgey was healed, the group continued onto Vidrian Forest.
