Chapter 3: What are Zincs?

"But, how?" asked Jessie.
"How what?" replied James.

"How did our Pokémon survive the first attack?"

"You know what?" said the mystery trainer, "I can't even answer that."

"Well," said James, "I've been feeding our Pokémon Zinc, and Zinc raises Sp. Def. And of course you must know that both Water and Electric attacks are Special attacks, along with a few others."

"But, to do that, you would need to feed your Pokémon over 70 Zincs," said the mystery trainer.

"Hey," began Jessie, "before you go, could you at least tell us your name?"

"Yes," replied the unknown trainer, "Rememer my name: Klenion (Kleen-ee-ohn)." And with that he vanished just as mysteriously as he appeared."

"Computer, register these Pokémon: Squirtle, Arbok, Weezing," said Klenion.

"Yes," relpied the computer, "Stats of the Pokémon:

Squirtle Lv 47; no powerups.

Arbok Lv 23; 78 Zinc.

Weezing Lv 23; 78 Zinc, 1 HP up."

"Very good. My Dark Rings should enhance the Pokémons' power soon. Fwahahahahahahahahaha!"

"Ash! You let that trainer get away with your Squirtle!" exclaimed Misty.

"Well, at least Officer Jenny is going to help. I also called Nurse Joy to search because she can help with the way he treats his Pokémon," stated Ash.

Suddenly, they heard a voice on the Walkie-Talkie.

"……This is J1 to Poké Base, Poké Base do you copy? Over. ……" It was Officer Jenny."
