ÿþ"Come on, we have to hurry! This boy is fading fast!" Nurse Joy fretted as she rushed along with the injured Ash. She knew why he was in here like this, and she knew he deserved what happened. "You're lucky I took an oath that I have to try to save you... Seems disheartening to mess up my cousin's work!" She started to mend him up, sighing some. "Maybe this will teach you not to play with sweet girls' hearts... This should make you realize what you did, Ash Ketchum, and make you change your ways... I-If... I can save you..."

Pikachu was out in the waiting room, pacing back and forth on the ground. Charizard was busy trying to find out about Ash's condition, worried sick about his master. A doctor walked out to the two, a grim look on her face as she spoke.

"I'm sorry... It's not likely he'll survive... His bleeding isn't stopping, and there's serious vital organ damage... Someone needs to get any family he has here, he's not gonna last long." She walked off solemnly, and Pikachu broke into tears. After all of this they had been through, he was going to die and it, in her mind, was all er fault. If she had stood up against him it would have never happened. She banged her fist hard on the ground a few times before Charizard placed his hand between hers and the ground. She looked up at him with her tear filled eyes, and dove into his arms. Charizard held her close, holding back his tears to be strong for her.

"Pika, we've got to get Ash's mom... She needs to be here..." Charizard barely got it out before his tears began to fall. He stood and flew off with Pika in his arms. "I'm not going to give up on him, and neither should you... H-He'll live, little angel... He'll live..." Charizard beat his wings faster, flying quickly towards Pallet Town.

Back in Pallet Town, Delia was cleaning up her hands after working in her garden. She looked out the window and saw Charizard flying towards the house, but with no Ash. "Oh no..." She ran to the phone and dialed up Professor Oak.

"Hello? Oh, hi Delia. Is something wrong?" Professor Oak seemed worried by the look on her face.

"Professor, you might want to get over here quick... I think something's happened to Ash..." Delia spoke quietly and Professor Oak nodded, hanging up. He got on his bike and rode quickly to Delia's house...
