* I'm going to die! * Dudley Dursley thought miserably. * I can't die! I'm too young and rich to die! *
He was so absorbed in his thoughts he didn't hear the spell Voldemort's Death Eater threw at him seconds later.
This was the freak's fault! Stupid freak!
Bright lights flashed everywhere and then his vision blacked out. He fainted.

When he woke up, a passing man gave him some sort of strange red and white ball, and directed him to Pallet Town for some answers.

Two days later, a starving Dudley Dursley descended upon Pallet Town like a whirlwind. The girls screamed, the boys laughed, and Professor Oak wondered what the pokemon world was coming to if these were the kinds of children out trying to be trainers. In the fair countryside, Dudley had done the wrong thing. He had broken into the wrong empty house.
Even if he had been hungry, Oak could not overlook it. Percival was the Pokemon League Champion and a national symbol! Needless to say, Dudley didn't get to eat much before the Professor dragged him back to his Lab.
A neighbor had spotted the incident, but been too afraid to interfere. Oak could not blame the poor five-year-old girl.
Without his Pokemon behind him, he would not have blindly attacked either.
The whale fainted moments later. Perhaps it was the hunger and exercise.

Oak studied the boy - young man, really -who had appeared in his lab, victim of a freak teleportation incident. It had taken Kadabra a few hours to sift through the mess of memories, but this person was definitely not a native of Kanto. It was difficult to tell his age. He looked far too old to be a beginning trainer, but appearances could be deceiving. There were also no Pokemon around, save for the Poke ball. The wandering trainer had given him a Rattata, but he and the Pokemon had not hit off well.
Seeing the teen's mannerisms and spoiled nature, it was obvious why.

The problem was; Oak highly doubted he could send this Dudley back. And yet, releasing him into the wild would just make him a plague on society. The sheer bulk of the corpulent stranger would send most children running.
That, in turn, could cause problems.
In his own world, Dudley had been a bully. Current events indicated that he was a thief as well, and although he had zero talent as a Trainer, setting him free - this was something the Professor could not do.
Now, he didn't need an incompetent blob for an assistant, having plenty of aides, but perhaps Dudley could serve some other purpose.
Well, he could always see if one of the Snorlax he was keeping could get along with the blob…

I hate Dudley Dursley, so I needed a victim character for this prompt. We didn't cover Adler when we did Freud and personality, but I should hope that an inferiority complex is pretty obvious. Dudley might have a superiority complex at first, but he'll learn the other end soon enough!
Of course, ultra-thin people with bones sticking out everywhere are not pretty either, but I like athletic people and not bulging muscles or blobbing fat!
