Chapter 2

Red woke up with a throbbing headache, and in another unfamiliar bed. The pregnant woman from earlier was sitting by his bed in a chair. She was now wearing a bright yellow pantsuit.
“Don't you remember who I am, Red?” She asked.
He took in the shape of her face, the ubiquitous ponytail, and the Pikachu perched on her shoulder, hey that was Pika!
Which meant she was… “Yellow?”
“Red! You do remember me!”
Yes, but not as this! He remembered her as a little girl!
There was a shuffling noise and a little girl that looked exactly like Yellow had, except with orange eyes, peeked out.
“Daddy?”
Red almost swooned again.
He was a father?
Well, he supposed that now he was technically old enough to be one, but… why?
He shook his head to clear the cobwebs away, and sighed.
What a pain…

Orange hugged her Daddy. Mommy said that Daddy was sick, but he looked normal. He really did!
Maybe Daddy was just tired?
That probably explained it…

Red's mind was still whirling in abject confusion. He wanted nothing more than to curl up somewhere quiet and sleep, but he knew that he could not. It wasn't fair!
He wanted to be fifteen again!
He did!

Orange and Yellow left the room as Professor Oak entered, with a grave expression on his face.
“Well?” Red asked.
“It seems that you were subjected to a Hypnosis effect while you were battling a trainer yesterday.”
Red shrugged. So what? He got hit all the time. That was the way their battles were fought, trainer and pokémon together…
“It seems to have altered your memory…”
“Who was I battling?” Red interrupted.
“Will.”
“Will? But he's evil!”
“Of course he's not evil, Red. How can you say such a thing?”
“The Elite Four…”
“Oh, yes, Will is the first of the Johto Elite. But Red, the Elite Four are not evil. Whatever gave you that idea?”
Red stared at Oak, and came to one conclusion.
Agatha must have brainwashed him!
In that case, he would go find Sabrina for help - after he put on some decent clothes, that is.
He said nothing more, as Oak patiently explained the gym system. It was not so different from what he remembered; only that none of the gym leaders had ever been evil or allied with Team Rocket.
How strange…
Someone had to be behind this deception! He was not hallucinating! He was sure of it! After all, he had not imagined his pokémon… they were still real and the same weren't they? So that was what was important, really…
So things were different now.
It was years in the future. Perhaps people had been… persuaded to forget?
Who would exert such a formidable force?
It must be the Elite Four!

Sabrina was rather surprised when Red dropped by her gym. Though he was the Champion of the Kanto League, they did not often meet.
“Hello, Champion Red.”
“Sabrina, I need your help.”
He was as direct as she had remembered. “Very well. What is it?”
Red sighed. “You're a psychic, Sabrina. I came to ask you a favor.”
“You may state it, but I cannot guarantee I will grant it.”
“Am I crazy?” He blurted out.
Sabrina blinked.
“Could you please read my mind?”
“You do realize that I will be violating your privacy.”
“Well, I don't care.” Red said with a sigh. “I feel so…. Lost. Maybe I do have buried memories. And Hypnosis should be simple to fix, right? Since you're a psychic and all…”
“You wish me to try to unlock them then, I suppose?”
“Yes.”

Sabrina pondered this for a few moments, before she nodded. “Very well, Red, I can grant your request, but I desire something in return.”
“Shoot.”
“Your Espeon is a Male, correct?'
Red blinked. “Yes, why?”
“I have a female Espeon I am interested in breeding. If you do not mind lending me your male to stud, we can exchange favors.”
“Sure.” Red did not think that Vee would mind, and Vee didn't.
With that done, Sabrina placed her hands at Red's temples and passed into the realm of his mind.

What she saw amazed her. There were twisted barriers of mirrored glass stretching in all directions, blocking off passageways, but Red's central thoughts were clear, and as she looked through them, she saw that they did coincide much with the past as she remembered it.
But why would he suddenly revert back to age fifteen?
It made no sense. Maybe Red was right, and some outside force had altered his memory.
It was incredible that he remembered nothing of his married life with Yellow.
Or, and here the Psychic's gaze sharpened, had Red's wife done something so horrendous he had blocked her out?
Who knew?
She told Red what she had seen, and Red frowned.
Why would there be a maze inside his mind? It made no sense…
“It's a maze of mirrors? But I don't even like mirrors…”
Something was up.

Red: *Hugs Phantomness*
Phantomness: I'm tired!
Lance: Are you pairing Red with Sabrina?
Phantomness: I will consider it. By the way, I call Red x Sabrina Psychoshipping, and Ash x Sabrina is Mirageshipping cause it sounds cool! And sorry, but I decided to do Championshipping!
