The next morning, Jordan shot up from her sleep. “Oh my god!” she exclaimed, “It's SATURDAY! PROM DAY! I have to go shop for something to wear!” She quickly hopped out of bed, took a shower, got dressed, brushed her teeth, grabbed her purse, and, with her cell phone, she text messaged Himeno's cell:

SHOPN' 4 PROM, 2NITE. U IN W/ ME?

Not long afterwards, she got a response:

COLOSSEUM MALL? CORAL'S DYING… SURE, M'IN. I C U THURR.

“Good…” Jordan said to herself. She dashed for the front door, stopping in front of the mirror to fix her very Lara Croft-like braid. She opened the door and swung out, closing it and locking it with her house key. Her mom got called to the office and her dad worked almost nonstop at Brothel County Hospital, which was quite far from their Prints Gorgeous County home.

She turned around and gasped as she came to a halt; there, at the bottom of the stairs at the doorstep, was her secret crush, Hajime. “Oh… Hajime…” she addressed, shyly, “Um… Why are you… What are you doing here?” Hajime tried hard to keep his courage as he walked up to the Prétear. “Hey,” he greeted, “Yesterday, when I was here, I overheard your conversation and with that extra ticket… would you like to go to the prom with ME?”

Jordan's heart stopped to his suggestion. She thought she was the luckiest girl in the world for Hajime to have asked her to the prom. She had to force her eyes not to widen.

She bit the side of her bottom lip to hide a smile and answered, “Sure, that'd be cool…” Hajime glowed with a hot smile and nodded. “Alright, I'll stop by a little later, then…” He turned around and waved. “See ya'!” he said, feeling surprised that his calm acting was so damn good. Jordan put her hand up in an intended wave back, but only went up to her shoulder. Once Hajime turned his head, Jordan pulled her house key out and unlocked the door. She hurried back into the house, shut the door, and chirped, “YES!” as she jumped up and down, yanking her fist with happiness.

She called Himeno on her cell phone to give her the news.

“Himeno?”

You JUST text messaged me… What the hell!

“… Anyways, I got a date to prom!”

Oh. Who?” Hayate was right behind Himeno, so, from that point on, he could hear…

“I'm going to prom with Hajime*”

Hayate's eyes widened with shock as he yelled, “WHAT!?!” Jordan blushed with embarrassment; she had no idea Hayate was at Himeno's American house. …Wait, why was Hayate at Himeno's house? It was still pretty early in the morning and Jordan knew it was hell, trying to wake Himeno. When she thought about it, Jordan was curious why she didn't realize, earlier, that Himeno was even UP at that time to begin with. When Jordan put the pieces together, with Himeno's earlier awakening, her energy, and Hayate's presence at Himeno's place…

EWWWWW!!!” Jordan quickly hung up and ran out the door.
When she got to the Colosseum Mall, she looked around for different stores that had some prom accessories. Upon store-scanning, she noticed one store with a buff redhead checking out suits. Hajime… Jordan thought. Indeed, she was right; Hajime just finished picking out a black suit and a white shirt to go with it and stepped out of the store, which was when the Prétear got a better look to confirm her guess. She quickly spun around to avoid him seeing her. She spun around to look at the right place, though; she found an awesome store that had different stylish-type clothes, though didn't care to look at the store name (A/N: Actually, I just don't freakin' care about this shopping shit, but I don't wanna skip ahead of the story… )

She entered the store and, lo and behold, there stood Hayate and Himeno at one of the racks. Jordan got a very disturbing image in her head just by looking at her friends, causing her to stand in place like an idiot. Then, Himeno grabbed the girl by the arm and they started picking out numerous outfits. Somewhere in between all the frustration, Jordan was cornered by her two friends, and they forced her to explain “What the deal?” with her and Hajime. Jordan told them that they didn't necessarily have to corner her and that it felt uncomfortable and she'd kick their asses next time they did it. Then, she explained everything, although Himeno already knew Jordan liked Hajime, but didn't know about Hajime's proposal to the Aqueduct High School prom.

Finally, after spending literally all day at the mall, Jordan picked out and bought a Spanish-looking, plum-purple dress with tiny, sparkly, jewel bits dispersed all over it. It looked rather cute and she tried to imagine Hajime's reaction, but that'd meant she'd have to think about Hajime and she wasn't in the right place to have an orgasm… She carefully carried the dress back home with Hayate and Himeno walking with her.

“So you really like Hajime, huh?” Himeno asked. Jordan smiled and said, “Yeah.” Hayate noticed Jordan's teeth nervously clamping onto her inner bottom lip repeatedly. “Why are you so scared?” he asked bluntly. Jordan stopped walking and her eyes began to flood. She turned around to her friends and sobbed, “It's more than that…” Her friends stared at her, silently requesting elaboration. Jordan's tears fell and the couple then understood when she uncontrollably wept, “I-I'm… I'm in love with him… I'm in love with Hajime SO much! I want him…”

As she collapsed on the sidewalk, she folded the dress she was to wear to her first prom… The first prom with the one and only guy that she wanted… The guy that her heart desired only for… Hajime was everything to her, even though a nonexistent love relationship with him meant naught…
