Chapter 2 Part 3 -- 4 Drabbles

The night Momoshiro's mother was finally laid to rest, Ryoma stayed with him. It wasn't long, as they lay together in bed, holding on to each other, that they started making out.

"Don't worry. We won't go all the way--"

"What...what if I want to?"

"Momo--?"

"Ryoma... why don't you ever call me 'Takeshi'?"

"Mmm... Momo's just who you are to me."

"Mmm..." Kisses were delivered upon chest and neck. "Say my name, Ryoma...?"

"Momo."

"Mnn... *my* name... I--wanna hear..."

"...Takeshi..."

Momo moaned, hips jerking, and the next "Takeshi," was said stronger.

"Takeshi, what do you want?"

"Just... don't leave me. Stay with me tonight?"

Hands pulled Momo down onto him and cradled a head onto chest--and if it looked funny, the smaller teen cradling and comforting the taller boy, well, it didn't matter.

"Rest, Takeshi. I'm not going anywhere."

Ryoma joined the HS tennis club before the school year even official started, showing up to practice the first day after Junior High School ended. Tezuka took one look at him... and warned him not to skip practice.

"Hai. No making out during practice, got it," Ryoma replied, walking over to a free spot near Fuji and Eiji to start stretching and warming up his body.

"Oh no," Fuji practically purred, shifting over to make room for his underclassmen. "He didn't say that, Ryoma-kun. He said no *skipping* practice."

"Hoi!" Eiji agreed loudly, falling over onto Ryoma's shoulders just as the younger teen was bending over to stretch. "You can 'make out' all you want...as long as you don't kiss or say anything or make it obvious, nya!"

"Hn."

High school was more intense then junior high with the threat of college lying much heavier then before. Ryoma worried about his senior friends and the stress and worry they all seemed to be under. Even the second years were not immune to the pressure.

"I always thought I'd be a professional tennis player when I got out of high school," Momo murmured one night when it was just the two of them lying snuggled on the couch, pretending to watch an old action movie.

"Mmm?"

"But..."

"But...?" Ryoma prompted.

"I don't think so anymore."

Ryoma shifted around to look up at his boyfriend. "Oh?"

"Mmm. Sometimes," Momo continued, frowning thoughtfully at the TV, "I watch you guys play--you, Tezuka-buchou, and Fuji-sempai... Even the viper, and Eiji-sempai and Oishi-sempai. You guys really have what it takes, I think, to be professionals; not me. Don't get me wrong. I love playing tennis--that hasn't changed. Just.... It's not all I want to do with my life, you know?"

Ryoma frowned. When he put it like that, he could kind of see where his boyfriend was coming from. "Mmm... if not tennis, then what?"

"Saa! I don't know," Momo replied grinning. "Bit of a problem that, don't cha think?"

"Mada mada dane," Ryoma replied, pressing his body into Momo's and lightly kissing him. Gradually, the kisses deepen into a hot and steamy make out session ruined by--

"Ew! Gross! Can't you two make-out someplace else?" Momo's little sister cried. "My friends are supposed to be coming over!"

"Ne, Echizen? Let's go to the old street courts this afternoon?" Momoshiro suggested, running his hands lazily over Ryoma's back as they lay on the school rooftop during lunch.

"Mmm? We can always just play at my place."

"Yeah, but then we'd have to play with your dad."

"Hn. True. Okay."
