Ranma 1/2 Fan Fiction ❯ Heart of Glass ❯ New Girl in Nerima ( Prologue )

[ P - Pre-Teen ]

Disclaimer: I do not own the Ranma characters cuz they belong to Takahashi Rumiko (A genius!) but I do own Yayoi (Ya-yoi) a.k.a Perfume.

"See, Shampoo it's that easy?" The words rang through the young woman's mind as she placed flowers on the alter she had built years ago. Tears ran down her face as memories of yet another young child ran through her mind.

"I can't do it." Shampoo whined trying to copy the movements of the girl's waist. What she had been doing was something called belly dancing…

"Why would you want to do something that foolish?" Cologneasked Shampoo. The two girls looked at the elderly woman who gave the other girl a look of disapproval.

"I'm sorry great-grandmother." A Child with black hair lowered her violet eyes.

"You should be preparing for our training trip, Perfume." Cologne spoke as if she were up to something.

"But I'm all done great-grandmother. I was just showing Shampoo the dance I learned for next year's festival!"

"Go meet me by the village entrance I will grab my bag." The woman snapped at the child.

"Yes, Great-grandmother." The child nodded and hoisted her bag on her shoulder. "I'll see you when we return, Shampoo! I'll finish showing you the dance then!" The girl smiled before running out of the house.

"Perfume…" Shampoo closed her eyes. "That was the last time I saw your smiling face little sister." Tears fell from her eyes. Shampoo touched the flowers again. "I just wish we could've given you a proper burial." She stood and got on her bike and took off. "Shampoo late for wedding party."

"Congratulations!!" Akane wished Kasumi for the millionth time all day. Tofu-Sensei had finally managed to propose to the young woman and now they were all enjoying the food that had been made.

"Thank you, Akane!" The happy couple replied at the same time, but for some reason Kasumi seemed mildly distressed about something.

"Aren't you happy?" Akane asked.

"I am happy!" Kasumi smiled for a little bit before a door collapsed.

"Nihao!" The happy voice of Shampoo rang out. No one thought twice of the entrance because well, the girl managed to break the dojo wall once and stayed cheerful. "Shampoo bring present for happy couple!" She declared bringing forth a box wrapped up in pretty ribbons. "It not much, but it something for Tofu-sensei and new bride."

"Thank you!" Kasumi and Tofu-sensei said together.

"Shampoo hope wedding with Airen be just as nice." She sighed a bit while giving Ranma a look who only tensed hearing a low growl come from Akane. The girl walked off in one direction to get a plate of food.

"Am I in the right place?" A person tapped Happosai on the shoulder after placing a bag on the ground.

"Excuse me?" Soun turned around and sized the girl up. Long slender yet well toned legs, cute body, so many curves that a professional race car driver couldn't handle and a huge Wok sat on her head allowing one to see only her body not her face.

"Is the Tendo Uhmm… residence?" She then tensed as the little man attached himself onto her breasts. She pinched the back of the man's neck sending him into and deep slumber. She muttered some incoherent words before throwing him off to the side.

"Yayoi!" The voice of Kasumi yelled bringing attention to the girl since she was usually so very quiet. She rushed over to the girl and ducked her head to hug her without bumping her head on the Wok. "I was afraid you wouldn't come."

"I'm sorry I worried you." She said picking up the bag. "I took a little long making my wedding dish for you." She opened the bag and handed her a container. "Remember do not eat it until you go off for the honeymoon."

"I remember…" Kasumi smiled at the girl. "So do you think you can stay with my family?"

"I can… but not until I enroll at Furikan High and move my stuff out of the home of my parent's."

"Stay with your family? Huh?" Soun had over heard that as well as Genma.

"I told you just after the announcement of me and Tofu-sensei getting married. I was going to have a friend stay long enough to teach either Nabiki or Akane to cook."

"I remember that conversation." Ranma piped up. "I commented on it and Akane beat me with the table. I still have the scar from it."

"I shall return in a week's time, Kasumi… Tendo and Saotome family." She nodded a bit before leaving the house completely.

"Not very talkative is she?" Nabiki asked.

"She doesn't know you all well enough yet…"

"She's still in high school?" Akane asked.

"Yes, She'll be graduating with you and Ranma this year." Kasumi said.

"And Best of all what is this she made! It smells divine!" Nabiki smelled at the package her sister was holding.

"That I can't tell you, Nabiki!" Kasumi turned red suddenly.
