[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
When Fai got up the next morning, he found that every part of him ached. That could only mean one thing; he must have gone out of the house in his sleep. To his dismay, he found several bruises and cuts on his arms and torso. Being careful not to agitate his wounds, he got dressed for school and walked downstairs. He found his beloved brother making breakfast. As he dashed down the stairs, he noticed that the table was set for three.
"Is Dad eating with us today?" Fai always dreaded the times when they ate with their father. He had a tendency to have one of the servants or the cooks to poison the twins' food or drinks. In fact, Fai never stayed home when his father decided to dine with his children.
"No." Yuui continued to chop up the onions for some omlettes.
"Then why is the table set for another?" At that moment, Misaki emerged from his room. He wore the same clothes from yesterday. Clutched in his arms was a small, brown teddy bear. It seemd pretty ordinary to Yuui, but Fai could sense an aura around it.
"You don't have to make me breakfast. I can go without any." Misaki tried to leave out the front door, but Fai surprised himself by latching himself to the other's sleeve. "Who are you?!" Fai demanded.
"M-M-Misaki! P-Please let go of me now." Fai oblidged. Misaki bolted out the door and through the streets. People stared as he ran. Yuui disposed of Misaki's plate with a groan. "Brother, why did you scare him off? I was going to ask him why he was wandering our street at one-thirty in the morning. Now I'll never know!"
"Sorry," the idiotic twin murmered. Just then, the alarm went off. Yuui went to the kitchen to finish breakfast. Now feeling miserable, Fai pulled on a coat and snuck out of the house. He knew that this was for the best. He didn't want to anger his brother anymore than he already had.

The second Fai went out the door, the father slipped into the kitchen. He was determined to destroy the evil twins that killed his beloved wife. To his dismay, only one twin was there. 'Whatever,' he thought. 'I want them dead. Who cares what order they die in?' With that, he raised the knife in his hand and shoved it into the boy's back, piercing his heart. He left him to bleed to death.
As he was walking out the door, he heard him cry out, "Fai...!" With his conscience hurting him, he shut the door gently.

Yasha and Ashura sat under a large elm tree by the school. For the time being, they were alone. Ashura felt a cold spell come over her, causing goosebumps to form on her thin arms. Seeing this, Yasha wrapped his arms around her, not minding when she struggled for a moment. He leaned close to her. "What's the matter, Ashura-chan?" he whispered.
"Something's... not right. Some sort of power has been split. I don't know why, but that worries me to death." She began to shiver violently. "Something's wrong, Yasha."
At that moment, Kurogane emerged from a thicket of bushes. A few twigs stuck to his uniform, but that wasn't the worst of it. It looked as though he had been crying and then tried to hide the evidence. Even now, tears streamed down his face defiantly. Ashura stood and and rushed to his side, hugging him. "What happened?"
"They're dead. Both of my parents were murdered in the middle of the night. Who sneaks into someone's house to kill the two adults but spares the kid?!" He broke down and began to sob.
For a few minutes, the three remained silent. Kurogane continued to hold Ashura, and that was ticking Yasha off. 'She's mine, you stupid jock! You have every other girl in the school, so why my Ashura?!!'

"Fluorite, put the book down before it lands on your head!" Akihiko glared at the blonde as he shoved his poetry into his bag and continued to work on his English worksheet. He walked back to his desk and groaned. Then he picked up his planner and began to fill it with ridiculously difficult work to keep the kids busy. That could not keep him busy long, and he found himself thinking about the kid he plowed over the previous night. His chest clenched up at the mere thought of seeing him again. He was pretty sure that he didn't hate him like he hated all the students in Tokyo High. So why did he feel anxious?
How would his family react if he told them? Would they disown him for good this time? Heck, he wanted that to happen. He loathed his family enough to condemn them to Hades. They were stuck up, each and every one of them. His brother was a nosy jerk, his mother out of the picture, and his father a dominering tyrant. Oh, what he would do to have them put in their place!
"Excuse me, Mr. Usami?" A student had appoached his desk while he had been thinking. He was ready to make this punk pay, but paused. It was the boy from the other night. "The school switched me. I've been told to come here for the rest of the year." He kept his eyes down, obviously reconizing the teacher and not wanting to look him in the eye.
"Oh." Akihiko smiled, which caused a round of gasps. The Lord Usami had never smiled in front of them before. "That's alright then. You can sit between Hagamaru and Yasha." To Yasha, he gave him the evil eye. In return, Yasha stuck his tongue out.
In front tof Misaki was either Fai or Yuui (he didn't know of Yuui's death yet. Neither did Fai.). "Psst. Which Fluorite are you?"
"Fai." He didn't turn around to look at him.
"Oh. Sorry..." Fai swirled around in his seat to glance at Misaki. "Why are you apologizing? I was the one being a cold jerk."
Misaki barely managed to smile. He looked around the room, but couldn't find Yuui. "Where's your brother?"
Fai smiled sadly. "How should I know? I'm not him..."
