"Wake up, Hagamaru! This is not a request! You need to get your behind back home!!" Mr. Usami's voice, along with the voices of others, filled Kurogane's head. He refused to open his eyes, because he knew what he was going to see. Plently of dead bodies, many more people hurt, and his friends dead (part of his imagination!). He could tell he was bleeding, but chose not to aknowledge it. All Kurogane wanted was to die.
"Hagamaru-san?" This voice was softer, but more direct. It also had a underlying sharpness to it. He opened his eyes when he felt a frail hand yank him to his feet. Blue eyes bore through him. "F-Fai?"
The blonde shook his head. "No, you've mistaken me for my brother. I am Yuui."
Kurogane pulled away from Yuui and smirked. "Of course you're Yuui. Fai's a lotter sweeter and prettier." Students gathered around the two gasped. The raven ignored them and continued. "In fact, if Fai were here, he'd agree with me. You're a mean, nasty human. How you can be related to the other one, I have no idea."
From behind a wall, Fai and Ritsuka were listening in. Ritsuka fell into a fit of silent laughter, while Fai tried to recollect himself. His face was as red as a pomegramate, and he trembled slightly. No one had ever said anything nice about him in his 17 years alive, other than Yuui. Their parents wanted them dead, the town despised them, and even strangers knew of their story.
"I think he likes you," Ritsuka whispered to the dazed Fai through his laughter. That earned the little boy a smack to the head. Kurogane, hearing this, turned to their direction. By that time, the two were gone. 'Must be imagining things again' he thought with resignation.

Akihiko was walking through an abandoned park later that night. The snow beneath his feet made crunching sounds as he walked. He was thinking about the fire that ravaged the school. Entire rooms were forever charred, and some of the students had died from the flames or smoke. To his utter dismay, his classroom was one of the few rooms untouched by the inferno. He still had to teach those wretched students how to read Shaksphere and write research papers.
He was so lost in thought that he wasn't watching where he was going. He ran into someone, knocking them to the ground. The whine that followed broke him out of his daze. "You okay?"
The boy looked no older than 18. He had chocolate-colored hair, big green eyes, and pale skin. He wore a black turtleneck and matching colored pants. In his arms was a large stack of books from the school. 'Great! That's just what I need, to run into the cause of my stress!' "No, I'm not okay! Watch where you're going, you big oaf!"
"I'm the oaf?" Akihiko towered over the child. "Who's the one walking through an abandoned park at one in the morning, carrying a stack of schoolbooks? Someone might decide that you're an easy target and kidnap you!" Still, the boy glared at the older man defiantly. Sighing, he pulled the other to his feet and walked away.
The boy, Misaki, stared at the spot the weird man had just left. "I'm not the crazy one," he muttered under his breath.

After a half hour of walking and muttering, Misaki reached his destination. He had absolutely no idea why he wanted to come here. His older brother, Takahiro, was probably busy with his new family. He was sure that his brother had no time for his little brother anymore. The thought of being left behind made Misaki very upset. His eyes began to tear up. He lost his nerve and ran in no paticular direction, desperate to escape the source of his distress.
When he finally slowed down, he took in his surroundings. He was in the rich part of Tokyo, with houses taller than three of his own. The streets were deserted, void of any life. He walked up to the first house that caught his eye. The second Misaki rang the bell, he regretted it. 'Who's going to let a stranger stay the night at their place?'
Strangely, the door was opened. Misaki nearly fell over the doorstep when he saw who it was. "May I help you?" It was either Yuui or Fai, but no one could really tell unless one told them.
"Yeah. Um, I'm lost and I don't have a place to stay. Can I crash here?" Misaki hated how deserate his voice sounded, despite the casual way he said it.
"Whatever." He led the boy into a large guestroom. "Just don't make too much noise. Fai is a monster when he doesn't get his beauty sleep." He smirked as he said this.
'So this must be Yuui.' He didn't seem as nice as his twin. In comparision, he was the evil twin who didn't act out on these impulses. 'Those two really are like Ying-Yang.' Not knowing what else to do, Misaki laid down on the bed and fell into a deep sleep.
