Mizuno was woken up by a loud growl. Her eyes shot opened and she sat up quickly, scanning around her area. Her eyes came to focus on the huge, gigantic red monster that was attacking the gate of Heaven. She didn’t know what that huge monster was but it didn’t seem to scare her. She jumped up on her feet and expanded her wings and quickly flew over to the gate. When she got near the monster she quickly recognized it, the monster wasn’t just a monster, and it was a demon. A dark electronic whip appeared in her hand as she lunged forward at the demon. The demon didn’t notice her presence until he felt something strangling him. He twirled his body around and saw Mizuno and glared up at her.

“You foolish angels don’t stand a chance against me” it snarled and grabbed on the whip and yanked her forward. Mizuno squealed at the strength that this demon possessed. She bit down her lower lip and held on to the whip and tried to pull it toward her. The whip was tightening around the demon’s neck whenever Mizuno pull on it. The demon grimaced and choked for air, it didn’t expect an angel could have this much power.

“You were saying?” Mizuno smirked and twirled the whip around her hand and held it tightly as she quickly yanked the demon on the ground in with a great force. The demon hit the clouded floor with a loud thud, shattering all the lovely houses underneath it. It tried to stand up by using its hands to support it but failed when Mizuno charged down at and kicked it head hard. Mizuno then jumped and flipped backward landing in front of the demon. The demon sat up weakly and screamed as Mizuno pierced his left eye with a long sharp blade. Mizuno smirked and pulled the blade out slowly of his left eye while twisting it to make it more painful for him. Once the blade was finally out of him and stared up at Mizuno with his other eye and breathed out heavily and shakily.

“You’re not supposed to be an angel. You’re killing and actions are extremely nasty and painful. I saw angels in action before and I’ve never seen them kill anyone like you do” he said, his eyes were filled with fear for this young woman standing in front of him.

“I’m one of the kind” Mizuno said bitterly and with one last breath from the demon. She quickly and forcefully brought the blade down into his skull and pierced it through his brain. The demon didn’t have time to scream as his blood squirted out from his head like a volcano that was erupting. When his body was unmoving and was fading, Mizuno snapped her fingers and the blade from his head disappeared. She stood there looking at the fading demon body until all she could see was pieces of the residents’ houses. She sighed and looked over at all the souls that were looking at her. One of them took her courage and walked up to her, smiling as best as she could.

“Mizuno, thank you for saving us from that demon” she said softly and stopped a few inches away from Mizuno.

“You don’t have to thank me or any other angels, it’s our responsibilities of protecting Heaven and the world” Mizuno said and gave the woman a polite smile. The woman blinked in surprise, she knew that Mizuno hardly smile well at least in public so this was the first. The people behind her saw the gesture and cheered loudly at Mizuno’s victory. Mizuno grimaced at the loud noises and turned to leave.

“Thank you again. Without all of you we all would be dead ages ago” the woman said and bowed. Mizuno nodded once and expanded her wings and took off to the mansion, she had to report this. She flew to the mansion quickly and with great force, sending dust of clouds all over the place. The other angels looked up at her as she quickly flew past them, a curious look covered their faces. They glanced at each other before them too took off to the mansion.

Mizuno landed in front of the mansion and ran up the steps. She pushed the big mansion double door open and rushed inside. The other angels followed her as soon as they spotted her going inside. She pushed her way through the hallway and up the stairs. She knew where Father was so she followed her instincts and walked to his office. She pushed the double door open and walked inside his office and glanced at the big arm chair in front of her.

“Father?” she called out in a seriously tone. The arm chair spun around and revealed the well big looking man. He looked at her with his understanding eyes and nodded once asking her to go on.

“Well I have bad news. I came across a demon this morning and had killed it. The demon was attacking Heaven, though it didn’t say that who sent him up here or how it got here but I’m more concern about the safety of the people up here and down here. Have you got any idea how to get rid of all the demons down there?” Mizuno said her voice stretched out with concern. Father looked up at her, his face calm like water. He sighed once and brought his hands up to rub his temple, as if he was thinking of a solution.

“This is a serious problem Mizuno. I thought everything was back to normal but I was wrong. We might need to have one or two angels to guard Heaven and the Mansion. All the rest would have to be down there guarding the planet. However, I might have to think of the schedule for all of you since I know that you can’t work in the day time” he said and clasped his hands together on his desk and sighed.

“Yes, I understand. So when are you going to announce this to everyone?” Mizuno asked quickly, she didn’t want to wait for things to get out of hands, the sooner that Father told everyone the better. Father chuckled softly and waved his hand at the door. The door yanked open and all the rest of the angels stumbled on the floor. They quickly stood up and blushed slightly. Mizuno turned and blinked at them as she wasn’t sure of what to say.

“Sorry for eavesdropping like that” Nerine and Atsuki said quickly and stared down at the floor blushing. The others followed the girls and blushed deeply. Father looked at them then started laughing, he haven’t seen anything hilarious like this in a year.

“You know you could always knock and then come in” Mizuno said firmly, she didn’t find the situation was that funny, well she didn’t find anything funny in all of her life.

“Yes, it’s not like I’m going to punish you if you knock and come in” Father said between his laughter. The others nodded and looked up with a faint blush on their faces.

“We understand” they said in unison.

“So what’s this about the demons?” Azumi said and glanced over at Mizuno. Mizuno caught her look then looked away from her, she didn’t want to start another argument.

“Well Mizuno said there was a demon attacking Heaven earlier. So I’m thinking of putting everyone back to work immediately, though I can’t seem to find Yuuichi in this room” Father said and scanned the group, everyone was there with the exception of Yuuichi.

“Well why don’t you send Mizuno out to find him Father?” Atsuki said and grinned widely. Mizuno shot Atsuki a cold glare but turned away as Father looked at her.

“Yes, Mizuno could you go and find him?” Father asked politely.

“Why am I always the one that have to find people?” Mizuno asked with annoyance.

“Because, my dear, you are good at finding people” Father said and smiled at her. Mizuno frowned and nodded her head and stormed out of the room muttering something about lazy people under her breath. Azumi heard her and giggled quietly.

“As for all of you, I want you all to stay on your guard. I have no idea when the demons will come and attack Heaven and the Mansion. However, more importantly I want you all to keep an eye out for the people below us. I am afraid that all of them are in danger” Father said worriedly. Everyone in the room nodded.

“Yes Father” they said in unison and walked out of the room.

Out somewhere a bit far away from the Mansion, Yuuichi was standing alone looking down at his reflection from the pond. He sighed and turned around just in time to see Mizuno walking up to him with a slight frown on her face. He stood there waiting for her. Mizuno walked up to him and stood in front of him, staring at him like he had done something wrong.

“Yuuichi, Angel of the Wind. Could you ever stick around near the Mansion so that I could find you more easily? Meaning that I don’t have to walk this far just to find you” Mizuno said in annoyance and folded her arms across her chest. Yuuichi blinked a few times then laughed heartedly at her. “This is not funny Yuuichi” she muttered.

“Sorry it’s just that you look so cute when you’re mad” Yuuichi said and stopped laughing. “So what’s up?”

“We have trouble. The demons are once again attacking Heaven. I fought with one earlier and well I don’t know how he got up here but he did. I had reported this to Father and well the whole gang were listening to our conversation which was very odd of them. But anyway I’m guessing that he will send us back to work again but this time we will have to keep an eye out for those demons out there, especially below us. Those people down there are in great danger” Mizuno said slowly as if thinking that he wasn’t listening to her. Yuuichi nodded once then put a hand on her shoulder and squeezed it gently.

“You’re worrying too much” he said softly and looked down at her with his soft, bright green eyes.

“No I’m not” Mizuno argued.

“Yes you are” Yuuichi argued back.

“I’m not” Mizuno argued back.

“You are and end of the argument” Yuuichi said in a matter of fact tone. Mizuno pouted slightly and shrugged his hand off of her shoulder.

“You’re just a meanie who always picks on me” Mizuno said and turned around and started to walk off. Yuuichi quickly grabbed Mizuno by the waist and pulled her to his body.

“Don’t leave” he murmured softly in her ear. Mizuno face turned red as her heart began pounding.

“What the hell Yuuichi? Let me go” Mizuno exclaimed and struggled out of the embrace, but Yuuichi only held her tighter.

“You still don’t know how I feel about you, don’t you?” Yuuichi sighed softly.

“Yes I do. You only like me as a friend now let me go before someone see us and misunderstand us as a couple” Mizuno said and tried to pull out of his embrace again. She could always break his arms but that wasn’t her intention since she didn’t want to hurt him.

“No you don’t, see? I like you more than a friend” Yuuichi said softly.

“Liar, you stated out to everyone that we’re just friends. Stop playing a dumb game with me and let me go” Mizuno said coldly.

“I’m not lying, I’ve been hiding the truth all this time because I didn’t want anyone to bug you about it” Yuuichi said and nuzzled against her neck.

“Whatever, I don’t believe you now let me go” Mizuno demanded.

“Fine, I’ll prove it to you” Yuuichi said then spun her around. He cupped her face in his hand and lifted it up, he then leant his face towards her then kissed her gently on her lips. Mizuno eyes widened in shock as Yuuichi lips touched hers. Yuuichi pulled apart after several seconds and looked at Mizuno in the eyes. “Believe me now?”

“Well…umm” Mizuno wanted to say something, but what? She knew that she still had some feelings for him, but she was afraid that she might get hurt again. So she said the only thing that popped up in her head. “Just leave me alone” she said aloud then turned and flew off, leaving Yuuichi with a hurt expression on his face. Yuuichi turned and looked back down at the pond and sighed sadly. If only he didn’t mess it up before and told everyone that he liked Mizuno, then it wouldn’t turn out as badly as today.
