There is a school in Japan where a beast resides. He is not a beast because he is ugly, he is a beast because he is a monster. He is as cold as a winter's night, and as hard as steel. He is the beast of the school, and he receives the respect he deserves. The guys look up to him, the girl's aimlessly try for his devotion. He is a beast, and he couldn't care less for any of it. But every beast must one day find his beauty....

Jun stared out the window. The teacher was giving yet another boring lecture about how English was a language they all must learn. He didn't see the point in it. He was never going to America, so why did he have to learn their language. "This is boring," he said in the middle of the class.

The teacher looked shocked by his words, but he didn't say anything as Jun got up and grabbed his books. "I'm out of here."

The teacher just fell silent. What could he do? Jun's father gave generously to the school. If he reprimanded him then he could do more harm then good.

Jun sighed as he walked down the empty hallways. Why did he even bother coming? Pushing his books inside his locker he started toward the parking lot.

Anna walked down the hall with a hand full of books a piece of paper. "Damn it...where the hell is the room..." she mumbled to herself. She juggled the books in her hands as she looked at the paper again. It was just her luck that in the process, her books hit the ground. Spilling everywhere. "Best first day ever..." she sighed and got to her knees to pick up the books.

Her long blond hair fell from her shoulders as she reached for the books. Golden brown eyes scanned the ground for each book and counted to make sure she had the right number. At least she would only have to carry them to one class. Unlike America, in Japan, the teachers change classes, not the students...with the exception of gym of course.

Jun heard someone cursing in the halls. "Heh, looks like someone else decided to skip out on class." Going to see who the brave soul was, he was confused when he saw blond hair. Who was it? Judging from the way she juggled her books and looked confused, she must be a new student. Judging by her features...she was a transfer student. "Just my luck, American scum in my school." Shaking his head he started toward the parking lot. There was no reason to bother with her.

After gathering her books, Anna stood and started walking again. Why did she even bother? School would be over in less than an hour. Her plane got in late and her parents wanted her to sat the very same day. Really smart. She groaned as she read more signs. Finally she found the right door. She opened it. Everyone stared at her. It didn't hit her until that very moment that she would most likely be the only blond in the whole school...and the only American. She was so very lucky...not. Smiling nervously she walked over to the teacher.

"Hello, I'm the new transfer student, Anna Green. It's a pleasure to meet you," she said holding out her hand. "Oh!" she quickly took her hand back. "I forgot." She bowed.

Jun went out to his car to get his kendo gear. He didn't care that he still had three more classes before kendo. It wasn't as if the teachers were actually brave enough to fail him. Once he had his gear he tossed it in his bag and started back toward the school. If his father hadn't threatened him, he wouldn't have even bothered with school. As it was, he had to keep up appearances for his father's sake.

Anna looked nervously at the class before bowing to them. The teacher finally let her take her seat. Just one more hour and she could leave. Just one more hour and she could call Brandon! She smiled. Lost in her own world, she ignored the whispers from her peers and the sound of snapping camera phones. Apparently her blond hair was really something exciting.

When the school day finally ended, Jun was relieved. He could finally go home. Packing his kendo gear into his bag, he tossed a towel over his shoulders. Wiping his face as he exited the training hall, he was immediately hit with whispers and gasps as the girls walked by and smiled at him. They could be so annoying. Didn't they know he didn't like any of them? Still they tried, they always tried, they never gave up. They were either stupid or gluttons for disappointment.

Anna ran out of the school. She was happy about not having the school books anymore but even happier that she could call Brandon. As soon as she walked out, she could hear girls giggling. Following their gaze, she saw a young man. He seemed bored and very pretty, but he wasn't Brandon. Shrugging, she opened her phone and put it to her ear. Moments later Brandon answered.

"Why are you calling? The time different is awful, Anna."

"But I miss you!" Anna said sweetly. Faces turned to her. She was speaking English. It didn't happen too often on school grounds. Anna smiled at everyone and quickened her pace. "Brandon, I..."

"Anna, I have to go."

"Ok, well I love-" Before she could finish the line went dead. She pulled the phone away from her ear and started at it. "...you..." she whispered.

Jun looked at her funny. She was speaking English. He should've expected it, but it still sounded weird. He only knew one or two of the words she said, but she looked slightly sad after speaking. Whatever the short conversation was it couldn't have been all that pleasant.

"Jun, what are you doing this Saturday?"

"Nothing," he told the girl who stood before him, looking at him shyly.

"W-well, I was just wondering if you'd like to go-"

"No." He saw her cheeks turn red. She looked like she was going to cry. Her girlfriends hurried to her side to pick up the pieces as he walked away. These females never learned.

Anna walked through the town, making her way back to her new home while texting an old friend from back home. Her friend had said that Brandon had been seen with another girl, but Anna shrugged it off. He wouldn't do that to her. He was too sweet and what was wrong with a guy having a girl for a friend? Nothing! She smiled to herself as she flipped through the pictures of her and Brandon on her phone. Looking around she didn't notice anything familiar. Pushing a number on her phone it dialed out.

"Mom, I'm lost..." she said.

Jun was on his way home. Checking his phone, he slowed his car down when he got a text. His father would be home tonight. Muttering a soft curse he decided to take the long way home. The longer he could delay this the better. Taking a left through the city his eyes followed shiny blond hair. Her again? She seemed to be everywhere. Focusing back on the road he gunned the engines, shooting past her as he made his way home.

Anna screamed as the car zoomed by and the wind hit her, pushing her school uniform skirt up and her hair flying. She didn't even catch the color of the car before it was gone. She could hear her mother yelling on the phone, frantic about the scream from her daughter. Anna put the phone back to her ear.

"No...yes...no... Mom, I'm fine. It was just some jerk. Most likely some guy abusing Daddy's money with a fancy car. Yeah, I'll stay on the phone until Dad comes."

Jun pulled out his kendo bag. His father's car was there, but there were several others as well. Hopefully he would be able to sneak into his room and hideaway the entire evening. No sooner had he stepped inside, however, then his father called to him.

"Jun! Come here!"

Jun groaned. Leaving his bag at the door he made his way to his father like the trained monkey he was.

"Ughh..." Anna said as she sat at the table. Her mother stroked her hair lovingly.

"Poor, baby! Had such a hard first day," her mother said.

"You shouldn't baby her, Helena. She's not a little girl anymore," he father said but handed her a bowl of ice cream with a wink.

"I can baby her all I want!" Her mother pulled Anna's head into her chest and Anna squeaked. "She's my only baby!"

Anna pulled back. She grabbed her bowl of ice cream. "I'm going upstairs. To my room. Where I want privacy." She glanced at her parents. "That means no checking on me for at least an hour not every five minutes."

"Sure, sure, Anna," her dad said.

Anna narrowed her eyes. "I mean it."

"Of course, honey," he mom smiled.

Jun handed out drinks to his father and his associates. They were busy talking up some new project for the company and were too busy to do anything for themselves. That of course meant that Jun had to do everything for them.

"Jun, pour some more Saki for Mr. Yamato!"

Jun sighed and walked over. Kneeling beside the man he poured some saki, when his father spoke to him again he looked up, accidentally spilling some of the Saki on Mr. Yamato.

"Sorry," Jun told the man who just glared at him.

Suddenly Jun got backhanded by his father. "Bow and beg his forgiveness," his father told him. "I will not have a son of mine disrespect my friend."

Jun rubbed his sore cheek and grudgingly bowed. "Please, accept my humblest apologies."

The next day, Anna ran towards her school. She had breakfast in her hand and her school bag on her shoulder. In her other hand was her umbrella. It was suppose to ran according to her father. She checked her phone. Nothing from Brandon, not even a text. Didn't he miss her? He was busy...that's what she told herself.

Jun groaned as he checked himself in the mirror. His cheek was swollen. He hadn't gotten to bed till two in the morning because he had to clean up after his father's friends left. God he'd be glad when he went back to work. Checking the clock he quickly grabbed a shower and got dressed. He wouldn't have time for breakfast, but it wasn't like he was hungry anyways.

Grabbing his uniform jacket, he tossed it on and quickly headed out to his car. He had to speed to get to school and even then he was late. The class was already starting and he was just arriving. Not to mention he was going to have to deal with Mr. Moto. That was the only teacher which didn't cut him too much slack.

Pushing the door open he dared anyone in the class to say a word. They all fell silent as Mr. Moto turned to him, a smug grin on his face.

"Late again are we, Jun?"

"If you can't tell then I guess I'm not," Jun replied as he started for his desk.

"You're going to get written up for your tardies."

"Sure I will." Jun sat down and closed his eyes. Propping his head against the wall he was ready to make up for the sleep he had missed the night before.

"Okay everyone, it's time to partner up for your project."

The entire glass groaned. Jun opened one of his eyes, trying to remember who the smartest kid in the classroom was. He could have that brat do the work for him. No sooner had he thought this then Mr. Moto dropped yet another bomb. "And you guys are going to have assigned partners. Mr. Higarashi you're with Ms. Green." The way Mr. Moto looked at him with that smug expression on his face made him want to punch him in the face. Lucky for him, he was far too tired to even get up and do that.

It was only then that it hit him. Who the hell was Ms. Green?

Anna held her hand up. "Mr. Moto...who is Mr. Higarashi?" she asked. Everyone turned to her in shock. "What?" she asked. "Is there something on me face? Am I speaking a different language?"

Jun followed everyone's eyes to the blond girl. "You have got to be fucking kidding," he muttered beneath his breath. That was suppose to be his partner? Rolling his eyes, he went back to trying to use the window as a pillow. She didn't look smart enough to do the project for him, but it wasn't like he was going to fail anyways so it was her ass on the line not his.

"Umm, that's him," a girl named Reisha said as she pointed to Jun.

Anna smiled. "Thank you!" she said then walked to Jun. She sat next to him. "Hello, I'm Anna. What's your name?"

Jun opened up an eye to glare at her. Why in the hell was she so happy. "Jun," he muttered so she would leave him alone. "Jun Higarashi."

"Nice to meet you, Jun," she said. Looking at the assignment she smirked. "Well, this is easy. You look tired so go ahead and get some sleep. I can have this done in no time," she assured him. Without waiting for him to speak, she began working on it.

Perhaps she was smart. Oh well, either way he didn't care. She could do it for him if she wished. Closing his eyes he was out in a matter of seconds.

Anna was done before the rest of the class. Right before she handed in the work, her phone beeped. She opened it and suppressed a gasp. It was from her friend and it was a picture of Brandon kissing some other girl. Anna's heart fell. It was a mistake. It had to be. Just when she was about to close her phone it beeped again and another picture came up. Again, Brandon kissing another girl...the same girl. Anna snapped her phone shut. He wouldn't do that to her. It was a misunderstanding. She was sure of it. He wouldn't cheat...right? Why did she suddenly feel so broken?

Jun groaned at an annoying beeping noise. What the hell was going on? Why wouldn't these people let him sleep? Opening up his eyes he looked over at his so called partner. What was her name? Purple...Green, that was it. Something Green. She was staring at her phone before snapping it shut. Judging from her face she had more bad news. It seemed that phone was cursed. He snickered lightly as he tried to get comfortable once more.

Anna handed in the work and without saying a word, she grabbed her things and walked out of the class room. She had told the teacher she wasn't feeling well and wanted to go home. To add to the horrible texts, it was raining outside. She opened her umbrella and stepped out into the rain while making her way back home. Her phone beeped. It was Brandon. She opened it and in very short words he said 'it's over.' Anna felt her heart crack. She dialed his number and put the phone to her ear. It rang and rang but no one picked up. She tried again but this time only got the answering machine.

When Jun finally woke up again, Mr. Moto's class was just ending. Looking to his side, the American girl was gone. He blinked a few times to see if she was anywhere else in the class, but she was just gone.

Leaning back, he looked over at Reisha, trying hard to keep from yawning. "What happened to the Green girl? Did she finish our project?"

Reisha sighed. "Yeah, she was the first one done then she left."

Jun shrugged. As long as the project was done that was all that mattered.

Anna stood on a bridge in the pouring rain. She was lost again, but it didn't matter. Brandon wouldn't take her calls. Her phone beeped and she opened it. This time it was from Brandon. It was slide shows of him and his new girl. Why was he doing this? Why was he hurting her. With tears streaking her face, she threw the phone over the bridge and watched it land into the water. Then it hit her...her phone was in the river. Dropping her umbrella she leaned over the edge with both hands so she wouldn't fall. Obviously, she couldn't see her phone. Turning back to the spot where her umbrella was, she noticed it was gone. She looked around and saw that it was floating in the air with the wind and it too landed in the river. Anna went to her knees screaming. Worst. Day. Ever.
