"So...tell me about Eric." Ever since he'd been helping her study she was rarely at home. Her grades were improving, but he felt that he was losing her in the process. Losing her to this Eric person who got to spend more time with her then he did.

Anna shrugged. "He's smart and really kind. He doesn't like me paying for anything so he buys us lunch usually. He's American but was born in Japan. He and I have a lot in common. We like the same foods, same jokes. We both want to graduate early." She smiled. "He's helped me more in the past week than I have ever done on my own."

Jun tried to look interested, but it was hard. "He sounds...nice," he said slowly. He was hoping that she'd tell him that he was a jerk and that she was only using him to help her with her grades.

"He really is. Maybe when this all settles a bit I'll hook him up with Rei."

Jun smiled at this. "Yes, I'm certain that she's looking for someone knew. She and Hikaru broke up not too long ago."

"I miss Rei. I can't wait until winter break is over so I can see her at school...though we won't have classes together, we can still do lunch. She and Eric can meet and I'll see if they hit it off."

Yes. If Reisha and Eric got together he wouldn't have anything to worry about...not at all. Reaching for her, he pulled her close so that he could kiss her. "We need to spend more time together," he told her. "I think that once the company gets on solid ground, why don't we get away? Just for a little while before the wedding."

Anna smirked. "Sorry buddy. That's what the honeymoon is for. If we went away before it, then it wouldn't be special later."

Jun pouted. "Well then we're going to take an extra long honeymoon," he smirked. His hands played with the handcuffs. "And these are coming with us."

Anna just smiled. "Ok, if we both have time."

Jun shook his head. "We'll make time," he told her. If they couldn't make time for their wedding and honeymoon then what chance did they stand to make time for each other?

She nodded. "Ok."

Jun sighed. Was this really how it was going to be? His phone rang again. The office was trying to get in touch with him but he wasn't going to budge. He turned off his phone. This was the only time he had with her. He wasn't going to ruin it with work.

Anna pointed to him phone and smiled. "That's the reason why I leave mine at home now. Too many calls."

He let his lips rise up into a smile. "Yeah," he said after a moment. "They'll be fine without me for a few hours. So we can have the rest of the day all to ourselves."

For the rest of the day, Anna and Jun stayed in bed, making love and talking. When Jun finally did turn on his phone, he had fifteen messages. The next week went on just the same as the last. Both stayed busy though they made time to have lunch together even if it was only for thirty minutes. By the time Christmas came around, they were exhausted. Anna's family went all out for Christmas though Anna had no idea how. Turned out Jun gave her father extra money for the job. Anna ran to the library while hugging her present for Eric close to her. She got up early and left before anyone woke up so she could meet Eric and be back before the day really started. Eric had agreed to meet her so they could exchange presents. She ran into the library and looked around for him. She smiled when she saw him.

"I brought your present." She held it out for him. "It's not much, but it's kind of a thank you for everything you've done for me over the past two weeks. If it wasn't for you I wouldn't be able to take a break and have Christmas with my family. So thanks."

Eric smiled as he took her gift. "Thank you," he said. Before he opened it he handed her a small wrapped box. "It's not much.... I just wanted you to know that I've enjoyed our time together." The bracelet he gave her was intricate woven silver with her name etched onto it on a tiny charm.

Anna opened her gift and paled. "Oh, Eric! All I got you was a laptop carrier to replace your old one...I can't accept this..."

Eric just smiled. "You can," he told her. "It's a beautiful present for a beautiful girl." He walked over to her, his hand gently moving across her face.

Anna blushed and pulled back. "Eric...please...don't do that." She placed the gift on the table next to him. "I can't accept it. It's too much for just friends." She quickly turned and ran out of the store, heading back home.

"Anna!" he called out as she ran off. He frowned and stared down at her bracelet. His face darkened as he took it and threw it across the room.

Jun was already up and wrapping her gift. He hadn't gotten a chance to do that yet. Putting the box beneath the tree, he shivered. The house was cold today.

Anna was crying as she ran home. Why did he have to ruin everything? Why did he have to touch her face and buy her such a gift? Couldn't he just have studied with her and be her friend. She stopped and wiped her eyes. She wouldn't tell Jun about this. It would only make things worse. She walked in her house and saw Jun. She started taking off her coat and her parents came down stairs.

"Merry Christmas!" they yelled and Anna smiled at them.

Jun's eyes narrowed as he saw her. Her eyes were red. "Merry Christmas," he said. Wrapping his arms around her, he pulled her into a hug. "You okay?"

Anna nodded into his chest. "Yeah, just disappointed but I'm ok." She pulled back from him and hugged her parents. "Merry Christmas!"

"I'm making a big breakfast!" her mother said. "So let’s start opening presents!"

Eric. "We'll talk about it later. Okay?" He smiled and caressed her cheek before kissing her. Jun sat down on the couch and watched as they all gathered around for the presents. He hadn't known what to give them all. He had searched high and low for a book about herbs and teas for her mother. Then her father would receive a new set of drafting equipment. Anna...her gift had taken the longest to pick out. He didn't know what to get her, which was sad. His first thought had been lingerie...which he'd end up buying and putting in the box anyway.

He had searched through everything, but finally decided to keep it simple. He took a picture of them kissing when they were covered in foam and had it framed with a silver frame. On the borders of it it had their names at hearts. Anna and Jun forever.

They all opened gifts and Anna's parents couldn't think Jun enough. They had bough Jun tones of things for the office including a new touch screen desktop. Anna was shocked. Anna, however, only got him a briefcase with his name on it. She sighed.

"I didn't know what to get you...I suck at gifts..." she said as she looked at the perfect picture he had given her.

"It's okay," he smiled as he kissed her. "You're great at everything else...and if you can wear that lingerie at the bottom of the box you'll make up for...well...this." He held up the briefcase and laughed.

Anna snatched the briefcase. "Hey! I stitched you name in it myself! And it took me days to pick out the right briefcase!" She hugged it to her. "I poked myself so many times putting your name on it. There is a lot of blood on you because of it!" She then started to open it. "And you didn't even open it." She pushed the top up and pulled out a little bag. She opened it and stuck her hand in it then pulled out a necklace with a little charm on it. It wasn't anything special but it was a little charm she made herself. "I took an extra class to make this for you. After five tries this one actually turned out to look like something worthwhile."

Jun stopped as he saw the necklace. His face softened as he took it in his hands and let his fingers rollover it. "It's wonderful," he told her with a smile. Unfastening it he held it out to her. "Will you put it on me?" His fingers ran over the hand stitched name on his briefcase. There were tiny spots where her blood had been on it. He hadn't even noticed it before. "Thank you," he said. The sincerity ringing in his voice.

Anna smiled. She stood and moved over to put the necklace on him. "You're welcome," she said then kissed his cheek. "And I'll wear the lingerie later."

Her parents stood. "Well, we are going to Aki's for lunch. His wife invited us over. You two are more than welcome to come."

Anna shook her head. "No I was thinking of going to Reisha's for lunch. I thought Jun and I could catch up with her." She pulled out a present from under the tree. "Besides, I still have her gift to give her."

Jun played with the necklace as her parents left. Gathering their stuff, he gave Reisha a call. "Hey, yeah, I know it's been a long time. Are you busy? Okay, well we have some gifts for you. Yeah, no nothing like that." Jun kept talking to her for a few minutes before hanging up.

"Okay, we can go over there whenever you want." Jun stopped her and hugged her. "But do you want to tell me what happened this morning?"

Anna shook her head. "No, I don't," she said honestly and started putting her coat on.

"Okay," he said. "But if you want to...you know I'm here for you." Grabbing his coat, he turned off his cell phone. Just because it was Christmas didn't mean that he didn't have work. Kissing her cheek, they went out to the car with their gifts and drove over to Reisha's house.

"Hey! I've missed you!" Reisha said as soon as they came up.

Anna hugged her tightly. "We have so much to catch up on!" she said excitedly.

Reisha just laughed and pulled them inside. There were two gifts setting on her table as well as three cups of hot cocoa. "So tell me about what you guys have been doing! It's been so long since we got to hang out."

"Work," Jun laughed. "That and being with Anna is about all I do with my free time."

Anna sighed. "Studying and going to school. I don't really get much time for anything else. I had to take three tests early just so I wouldn't have to go to school today. Kinda nervous if I passed them or not." She smiled. "What have you been up to?"

"Not much since Hikaru and I broke up," she teased. "Studying, school, looking for new boy toys." She paused and smiled. "Speaking of which...where's this Eric I've been hearing so much about?"

Jun shook his head, trying to tell her to stop. Her eyes widened curiously as she looked at Anna.

Anna fisted her hands in her lap. "He's...studying..." she said slowly.

Jun rubbed her back. "So," he said, pushing Anna's gift toward Reisha. "Open your gift. It is Christmas after all."

Reisha smiled and nodded. Opening up the gift she gasped is surprise as she pulled out the purse. "It's gorgeous!" She opened it up, her eyes widening as she saw the bracelet inside. "This is beautiful." She quickly lunged and hugged Anna. "Thank you!"

Anna smiled and hugged her back. "You're welcome! I just wanted you to know that even though we don't see each other much, you are still my very best friend," she said as she helped Reisha put the bracelet on.

Reisha smiled and pushed her gifts to toward the two of them. "I hope you enjoy them," she smirked. "I didn't know what to get, so I figured I would just get you stuff to...help you."

Jun was suddenly scared. Last Christmas she'd given him dirty magazines. This year he had a fiancée, there was no telling what she would get.

Anna opened her gift and looked at Reisha with a shocked look. "Reisha..." she said with a blush. Anna closed the box. It was a pink vibrator that said 'Jun's replacement' on it.

Jun looked at his box and frowned. "Perhaps I should just save mine for later..."

"Nope!" Reisha laughed. "Anna opened her's up so you have to as well!'Jun groaned and opened it up. Looking into the box he sighed. "Really, Reisha?"

She burst out laughing. "Well I figured that since you guys are still at her house you didn't want to make a lot of noise."

Jun put the ball gag back in the box and shoved it next to Anna's box. "You're so wrong."

"Yeah, I know. But you love me." She got up and played with her bracelet. "So what are you doing today?"

"Nothing really. I think my parents are going to be at our headmaster's house all night. Usually when they say they are going to go out with a friend for lunch, that means dinner and drinks as well," Anna said laughing.

"Which means that we'll have the house all to ourselves," Jun said, letting Reisha know that they wouldn't be staying long.

Reisha just laughed. "Well then you'll just get to use those Christmas gifts now!" She took their empty cups and started to wash them out. Once they were clean she walked over and gave each of them a hug. "We have to find some time to hang out. I don't want the next time I see you to be at your wedding."

Anna nodded as she started putting on her coat. "Maybe we can do something for your birthday in February and I'll be seeing you at school when it starts back."

Jun helped Anna with her coat and then reluctantly grabbed their presents. Giving Reisha one last hug they turned to leave. "Take care, Reisha. I'll try to swing by school some time to check on the kendo team."

They said their goodbyes and proceeded to drive back to Anna's house. They were laughing and talking about Reisha's gifts when they pulled up. The laughing quickly ceased as Jun realized the window by the front door was smashed in. Reaching into his pocket he handed Anna his phone. "Call the cops," he told her as he quickly got out of the car and went to the door. He tested the door, it was unlocked. Pushing the door open he peeked inside. The house was quiet.

Anna called the cops quickly then got out of the car and followed Jun inside. Anna walked behind Jun as he checked they place out. They walked up the step and Anna slowly opened her door. She walked in and on her dresser was the little box that Eric had gotten her. She opened it and there was the bracelet. Her breath was caught in her throat as she looked at it.
