He was starting to see a pattern. Her running off. Him getting pissed beyond reason. Yeah, definitely a pattern here. Grabbing his stuff he followed her outside where he saw her throwing up in some bushes. "I'm your husband, Anna! I'm not going to leave you to raise this child...our child on your own!" Reaching into his bag he pulled out his towel so that she could wipe her mouth. He handed it to her and just stared at her.
What she had said to him had hurt more deeply than anything he'd ever felt before. It showed on his face even as he tried to push it back down. "I love you," he said. "And I'll love our child as well."
Anna held the towel over her mouth. "Well, you aren't doing a good job of showing it, Jun..." she said softly. "Just because you're scared doesn't mean you can say things like 'mistake.' If you don't want this child, then say so. But it's not going to change the fact that I'm keeping it. And...." she lowered the towel and put a few mints in her mouth. Walking over to her things, she started to pick them up. She was crying. Why the hell was she always crying? "And if you don't want it, I don't think we can be together. I know your job is important, but so were my studies and my plan to go to college...I had a different life set out for myself. I'm scared too, Jun. But I know that I can do this. I can be a mother. I can put my life on hold to bring this life into the world because I owe it to this child. It didn't do anything wrong. It didn't plan to be conceived. It didn't plan to ruin my plans. And really...they aren't all ruined. I still got to marry you...so there's something. I just have to change things around."
She stacked the books up while she sat on her knees in the grass, gathering everything. "I don't want you to say to keep it just because I want it. I want you to want it too. Just like you wanted to marry me, I want you to want me to have this baby. And I want you to make an effort to be a father. Because if you can't," she stopped gathering her things and looked at the ground while running her hand over one of the books, "if you can't change like I have to, then I don't want to be with you. I won't stay in that big house raising our child on my own."
One night of passion was all it took to throw their entire lives into the gutter and for them to be at each other’s throats. The kid wasn't even born yet, and already it had torn their lives to shreds. He wondered if that's why his father resented him so much. In a way he could sympathize. As soon as he realized what he was thinking he felt cold. Kneeling down beside her, he handed her the last book.
From there, he took her face in his hands so that he could look at her. Taking a deep breath, he forced a smile. "I will be with you every step of the way. I don't want to be my like my father. I don't want my child to only see me once every couple of weeks because I'm too busy working to care for my family."
Biting his lip, he stared into her eyes. "When the baby is born, I'll step down as CEO. I'll still stay on as an advisory role...but at least I'll be home with you and the baby."
Anna moved his hands from his face. She held them in hers. "I'm not asking you to give up your company, Jun. I'm asking you to be a dad. You are the owner. What you say goes. If you want to come home, heir someone that is able to stay those late nights and take your place. They call them vice presidents. Put it to good use, Jun," she said. She stood with her books. "It's compromising. I'm giving up college for the baby, but I'm not giving up high school. I'm going to finish what I started and so are you. You are the president of your own company and you are going to stay that way until fate says otherwise. Heir a vice president. Then come home to your family. It's not as hard as you make it out to be."
Jun smiled as he stood. "Okay," he told her. He hesitantly leaned forward and kissed her cheek. "Do you want me to pick you up after school so we can go to your parents house and...give them the good news?"
Anna handed him her books. "You are letting your pregnant wife carry a lot of books. You should be ashamed of yourself," she said smiling. "No, I'm finished for the day. I really only came back to get my stuff for my classes. I'm still really far ahead of everyone so I can do most of my work as long as I turn in my work and progress at the end of the week."
Jun juggled the books in one hand while trying to keep hold of his bag with the other. Poking his head out around the books, he smirked. "Okay then. Hop in the car Mrs. Helpless Pregnant Wife of mine, and we'll go see your parents."
Anna got in the car and they drove to her parent's house. Anna waited for her parents to sit before telling them. Her father had been drinking sake to celebrate the end of his work building the new building for Jun's company so he was a little spaced. Her mother jumped for joy and started writing down a list of things she was going to buy for the baby. Her father on the other hand started to cry.
"My little girl! Why do you keep doing this to me!?" he cried. Anna let her head fall and placed her hand on her forehead while slowly shaking it. "First you are getting married and some strange man takes you from me! Then you come home to tell me you are pregnant! I'm too old for this!"
Her mother rubbed his back. "Mike, go upstairs and take a shower. I'm going to make you some coffee to sober you up a bit."
Anna watched her father wobble to the step while blubbering. "Why does this always happen to me? My little baby is having a baby!!"
"Go take a shower, Mike!" her mother yelled.
He sobbed all the way upstairs.
Jun had almost forgotten how light hearted her parents could be. Something which he and Anna had felt was life changing and soul crushing, her mother just shrugged off and started planning it as if she'd always known that Anna was going to get pregnant now. It was...relieving. Jun watched as she wrote stuff, he had to blink several times, not being able to make much of it out. Finally he just sat back and relaxed. Wrapping an arm around Anna, he didn't even think of it as his hand laid on her belly and began to slowly rub it.
Anna placed her hand over her mother's. "Stop it."
"Stop what?"
"Stop doing that thing you do."
"What?" her mother asked innocently and confused.
"You know, that planning thing. Stop being so...calm," Anna said and sat back. "Yell at me. Tell me how reckless I am."
"Why? It's not your fault. The doctor should have told you your birth control wouldn't work with the medication he gave you. He should have been more responsible," her mother said shrugging. "Now I was thinking of having a-"
"You're doing it again."
"Doing what?"
"It! The planning! Stop it!"
Her mother smiled. "Then what do you want me to do?"
"I want you to stop planning. Just stop it. This is shocking news. Really big news," Anna said with a concerned look.
"But it's such great news, Anna!" Anna groaned.
"Why couldn't I have normal parents?"
"Because you aren't a normal person. Getting married at sixteen is not normal. Having a child right after isn't normal. Now can I please tell you my plan before I bust!"
"No," Anna said and stood. "We are going home and you aren't going to call me or send me baby gifts until we at least know the gender, ok?"
Her mother crossed her arms on her chest. "You are no fun, Anna!"
"I know. I'm such a party pooper," Anna said rolling her eyes.
Despite Anna's reluctance over all of her mother's planning and excitement, Jun was loving it. It made him feel that they could do this. That they could be parents, even if the idea of being such was ludicrous and absurd. Thanking her mother, and telling her that he would keep her informed of what was going on since Anna seemed to be boycotting her at the moment, Jun lead her back to the car and they returned home once more.
"Your mom seems just as enthusiastic as she always is," he said. Taking off his coat he went to the kitchen where he began to put away his dishes and cups from last night into the dish washer. He hadn't even bothered to clean up last night. He hadn't been in much of a mood to do so.
Anna took off her coat and set the alarm then locked the door. "Yeah...that's mom. She drives me nuts. I think that if she had just once punished me maybe I wouldn't be so reckless," she groaned.
She walked to the fridge and started pulling things out and eating them out of the containers. "We should think about which room we want the baby's room to be."
Jun smirked as he watched her eat. "You know I could cook us dinner," he told her. Right. Baby room. "Well, my room is the closest to the master. We could turn that into the baby room."
Anna shrugged. "Ok, whatever." She put the food back into the fridge then started pulling things out of the cabinet for him to cook. She hopped on the bar and grabbed the chocolate syrup. "I don't really care what room, as long as I can find it," she said with a smiled then opened the top of the chocolate syrup and squeezed it into her mouth.
Jun stopped the bottle, before she could swallow he pulled her down and kissed, her letting his tongue dip into her mouth so that he could taste some of the chocolate before pulling back. "Well, we'll keep it easy," he said licking his lips with a smirk. "And just put it in my room." Looking at the stuff she had picked, he realized that tonight's meal was going to be...interesting to put together to say the least.
Anna snatched the syrup back. "Get your own," she said. She looked around. "Can I have that apple over there? I get so hungry after throwing up...I hate eating then getting empty. It's such a waste."
Jun sighed and tossed her the apple. "Dinner will take about twenty minutes," he said. Grabbing the apron he tied it on as he began mixing together the items she handed him. "Then you can eat all you want. Just don't spoil your appetite."
Anna covered the apple with chocolate syrup then started eating it. "Spoil my appetite? It's just an apple and some chocolate. Cook faster. I'm hungry," she said with a mouth full.
"Don't eat all the syrup. I was hoping to use some of that in the bedroom." Jun sighed. Grabbing the bottle of chocolate syrup from her, he put it back in the fridge as he danced about the room preparing her meal. "I'm not your maid you know," he said sticking out his tongue. "I'm cooking just as a fast as I can."
Anna sighed as he took the chocolate. She liked the apple that was covered with it. "If you are going to save it for the bedroom...then we should buy more...." she said. She watched him move about while she licked the apple. "Smells good."
Jun smiled as he sprinkled some spices over it. "Thanks. I always thought that I'd end up opening up my own restaurant when I got older." Putting the finishing touches on it, he poured some wine over it just for flavor. "Unfortunately life decided that wasn't going to happen." Leaning down he took a bite of her apple and smiled. "I'll buy another bottle tomorrow."
Anna smiled. She finished off the apple and started to lick her fingers. "Maybe one day we can work that out for you. You know, open your own restaurant. You never know what could happen," she said. She held one of her fingers up and waited at his tongue slowly flicked out and licked the chocolate off it. She brought it back to her lips and sucked on it lightly, making a wet sound.
He licked his lips as he put her food on a plate. "Somehow I doubt that will happen till I'm old and gray. I can't leave dad's company, not with a child on a way. Maybe once they're all grown up and through college I can." He chuckled as he held up her plate. "There you go. Hope you enjoy it."
Anna took the plate and chopsticks. She moaned as she took her first bite, her eyes rolling with a smile on her face. "Too bad because this is really good," she said and let him take a bite. "See? As good as sex."
Jun took a bite while trying hard not to laugh. "It is good," he told her. Grabbing her, he nibbled on her neck before kissing her. "But nowhere good as sex."
Anna giggled and pushed him back. "Quit it! I'll never get to eat if you don't leave me alone," she said. "Just let me finish and we can have make up sex."
Jun pouted, but let her be so that he could get his own plate. He took some small bites while he toyed around with his laptop to see what the office had sent him. So far so good. Their latest contract had gone through, and since Anna's dad had finished the building he was about to make the move to it. He sent a notification to the board that he would be looking for a vice president. He wanted them to have a list of possible applicants on his desk in the morning.
Anna cleaned her plate then sat in Jun's lap and helped him finish his. She wrapped her legs around him after they were done and moved her lips down his neck. Her hand was working his pants the whole time.
Jun shuddered as her lips pressed against his flesh and she began undoing his pants. Once she managed to get them undone, he picked her up in his arms. Locking lips, he flicked his tongue over her lips. Going to the kitchen, he grabbed the chocolate syrup and smirked.
Anna looked at the chocolate. "Really?" she said with a smirk. "I thought you were only joking."
Jun chuckled. "When have I ever joked about sex?" Popping the top, he just smiled as he poured some of the chocolate into his mouth.
What she had said to him had hurt more deeply than anything he'd ever felt before. It showed on his face even as he tried to push it back down. "I love you," he said. "And I'll love our child as well."
