"And that would be the hormones kicking in." Jun groaned. She was going to be the death of him. Going upstairs, he pushed open their bedroom door. "You're not getting fat, and I'm not trying to rub it in your face. I don't have that many clothes that fit anymore, and your clothes just happen to fit pretty well."

"Take them off! Take them off and go shopping online for you own clothes!" she said while going to the closet and looking through her things. "Did you even notice that I'm wearing skirt more lately? Because they are the only thing that fits! And my husband is wearing the clothes I can't wear!"

She grabbed a summer hat and put it on. Walking out of the closet, she looked at him. "I'm going to go outside and work in the garden to blow off steam because my husband is wearing the clothes I can't fit into anymore!"

Jun sighed and moved between her and the door. "You're still not fat," he told her. "You're beautiful and radiant, just as you always are."

Anna crossed her arms on her chest. "You have to say that because I'm carrying your children. Fine, wear my clothes, it's not like I'm getting any use out of them." She pushed pass him went down stairs. "If you come outside, cover your head so you don't burn," she called to him as she headed out the back door.

As she pushed past him, Jun just shook his head. This was going to be long pregnancy. He could already tell it. Going downstairs, he went to the hall closet and grabbed out some tools to help with the garden. After going to the kitchen and tasting his food, he quickly dumped it out in the garbage so he could help his oh so sweet and wonderful wife. He didn't know what he was suppose to cover his head with. It wasn't as if he wore hats, and it was far too hot to be wearing a hoodie outside.

"I figured some garden tools might make this easier."

Anna looked at Jun as she stood on the fountain's edge once again, pulling the vines off his mother’s body. "I suppose I'll start here since it's my favorite spot so far." She stopped and looked down at him from the fountain, trying to keep her balance. "I'm sorry I snapped at you...I've been doing that to the nurses and doctors too..."

Jun smiled as he walked up behind her and handed her some gloves. "Don't worry, I didn't take most of it to heart. The doctor's warned me that I was likely to get yelled at for just about anything for the next six or seven months."

Anna's heart sake as she took the gloves. She looked at him sadly. "They warned you about me?"

"It wasn't that they warned me about you. It's just that they gave me a lesson about pregnancy." He was trying to choose his words carefully.

Anna took off her hat and put it on his head. "Stay out of direct sunlight," she mumbled and started pulling at the weeds again.

Jun muttered something about being a vampire and started to work with her. Tossing the hat away as soon as she wasn't looking. The month flew by quickly. Anna continued to show signs of her pregnancy, and Jun still didn't gain any weight. He talked to his doctor who told him that he might not return to his normal weight or bulk for quite some time simply because his body was still ravaged by the chemo. So until that time he kept wearing Anna's old clothes while they started buying her new ones. All the while they worked on the garden which was now beautiful, and also started planning the baby room. Of course Jun had to tread on light water to avoid Anna blowing up at him, but he was starting to get good about stepping around the landmines.

Anna busted out in tears. She dropped the pie she had in her hands then kicked it. Pie went everywhere. He mother patted her shoulders. "It's ok, Anna. You'll get it the next time," her mother whispered.

"Stupid pie! Stupid oven!" Anna yelled she ripped the apron off her. Her eight month large belly sticking out as she did so. "And I hate this apron! I hate this! I hate everything!"

She left the kitchen as her dad came in. She had been visiting her parents to give Jun a small break. She walked upstairs and slammed be bedroom door. "I hate pie!"

Her father looked at her mother. "She burnt another one?"

Helena laughed and nodded. "Yes, the pregnancy has makes her very forgetful of things and every time she goes to cook a pie for Jun, she burns it because she forgets she put it in there."

Mike sighed. "She's going back to him soon right? Because I don't know if I can take much of the yelling and crying...I don't even know how to talk to her anymore..."

Helena laughed again. "Oh, I wasn't much different when I was pregnant. Give her some slack. She's carrying twins. That's twice the horror and stress. She's been having trouble sleeping and she's more ill than normal because her due date is coming," she said while cleaning the mess.

Mike started helping her. "Yesterday I said good morning to her and she screamed that there was nothing good about the morning."

Jun knocked on their door, poking his head inside. His hair had long since grown past its normal length, and he kept it pulled back in a ponytail. He'd been bald once and it wasn't fun. He didn't want to cut off his precious hair until he had to. Wearing one of his loose fitting button up shirts and a pair of Anna's pants, he winced as he heard Anna yelling.

"So...how have things been?" He tried not to wince as Mike stared at him as if he was crazy.

"She's mad! She's just gone mad!" Mike said throwing his arms in the air.

Helena smacked him in the back of the head. "She's just a little upset today. She tried to make you a pie but she burnt them...all three of them..."

A few moments later Anna came down stairs taking deep breaths to calm herself. "Ok...I think I can do another one now," she said. She looked over at Jun and rolled her eyes. "Why haven't you cut your hair yet? You look like a hippie. You're thin and hairy...and I'm fat and....just fat!"

"Anna, I made you some tea," her mother said.

Anna smiled. She loved her tea. Walking over she sat down and took the tea. "Thank you," she said sweetly.

She was like Dr. Jekyll and Hitler.... No Mr. Hyde. She skipped that step and went straight to Hitler. "I don't look like a hippie," he said, not really bothering to sound too forceful. The tea was a decent sedative to her anger, and he didn't want her to go off on her anger trip again. Jun slowly moved to sit beside her. To say that being around her was like walking on pins and needles was an understatement. "How are you feeling?" He rubbed her belly lovingly. Despite the fact that she thought she was fat, the sight of her large belly, knowing that she was carrying his children in her, it had never made her look so beautiful to him.

"You do look like a hippie," Anna said and sipped her tea. She smiled again. Grabbing his hand she moved it to the left and the other hand to the right. "One is kicking my ribs and the other is kicking my bladder. But they seem to calm down when their daddy is around." She looked Jun and sat back in her chair. She hated when people touched her belly, but she loved it when Jun did. The twins were always so calm when he touched her stomach.

Jun smiled as he felt his children move around inside her. "No, hippies smell bad and have beards. I smell nice and am clean shaven." He rubbed her belly until he couldn't feel the kids move anymore. "I wish you'd let us seen what gender they were," he whispered. "I still don't have any idea what to buy for the baby room."

"On the right is a girl and on the left is a boy. At least that's what I think. Because the one on the right kicks a hell of a lot softer then the one on the left," she said. Her mother put another pie in the over and handed Anna something to snack on. Anna pushed at Jun's hair. "Cut your hair, Jun. You just look silly."

Jun rolled his eyes. "It's not that long," he muttered. "And evidently the boy takes after his kung-fu daddy!" When he realized that she wasn't going to back down about the hair, he sighed. "I'll get it trimmed...slightly."

"Get it cut back to the way it was before. You looked nice with it like that," she said. She drank the rest of her tea and ate her snack. "And you haven't done you kendo in ages. I think that I could kick your butt if I wanted too."

Her mother and father snickered at that.

Jun just groaned and sat back in his chair. "Might I remind you that I was undefeated at kendo. Saved you from being attacked by rapist. Fought thugs on a regular basis; and was just generally awesome. Just because I haven't done kendo in a while doesn't mean I've suddenly become a weakling."

Anna poked him in the chest and watched him wince. "Yeah, you don't have much proof to back yourself up. Dad..." Her father came over and helped her stand. "Ughh! I'm so ready to be me again!" She grabbed her purse and kissed her parents. "I want to go home now," she said to Jun and headed for the door without bothering to wait for him.

Jun rubbed his chest. "I'll be glad to be the man of the house again," he muttered beneath his breath. "Coming dear!" Trying hard not to roll his eyes, he led her out to the car where he helped in so that they could go back home.

Anna laid in be that night and looked at Jun. When was the last time they had sex? She couldn't remember. It didn't matter. She was so much bigger than him now. Groaning, she rolled on her side and grabbed her pillow, holding it close. "Good night, Jun."

Jun smiled and rolled over so that he could face her back. His arm slipped over her so that he could rub her belly. "Goodnight, Anna," he said. Snuggling up to her back, he kissed her bare shoulder. "Sweet dreams."

Anna looked out the window at the stars. Everything was going to change in less than a month. The twins would be there and there would be less time for her to be with Jun. Her hand rubbed her belly lightly and moved over Jun's. "Yeah, sweet dreams."

Jun squeezed her hand. Pulling her so that she was on her back, he slowly crawled over her. "You okay?" he whispered as he looked down at her. She was moodier than usual, and he wasn't completely certain that it was just the fact that she was carrying sixteen pounds of baby in her stomach.

Anna shrugged. "Just thinking of how things were going to change when the twins are born. All our time will be spent with them. I guess I didn't really think about it until now."

Jun reached down and caressed her face. "True.... but that's only for what? Eighteen years? Sixteen if we're lucky. Then they'll be off getting married and having kids of their own. Besides," he leaned forward and pressed his lips to hers. "I'm certain that we'll be able to find time for ourselves."

Anna groaned. "You are not making this any better," she sighed. "I'm so lucky, I get to get married and have twins before I graduate from high school. I already feel old."

Jun sighed as he stared down at her. Moving hair from her face, he looked into her eyes. "Anna...do you still want to keep the kids?" She seemed to be having doubts lately; and he'd said long ago that whatever decision she wanted he would stick by her with it.

Anna threw him off her and sat up on her elbows. "I can not believe you just asked me that, Jun!" she screamed.

Jun landed back on the bed and stared at her. "Well, you're talking as if you have doubts about them," he told her.

"I have doubts about us having time together! Not about keeping the children that I let grow inside me for nine months!"

Jun held up his hands in defense. "Okay," he told her. Taking a deep breath, he ran his fingers through his hair, pushing it out of his eyes. "We'll make it work, Anna. With me not working, I'll be home all the time and able to help you with the kids. We'll find time. Even if it's just a night or two a week, your mom can watch the kids and we can relax. We've survived everything, I think we can survive raising children."

Anna rolled over again. She was going to miss sex...and dinners...and movies... One on one time with Jun was going to be hard for her to achieve. "I'm always going to want the twins, Jun. Don't ever say that again. That's just hurtful."

Jun pulled her back so that she could look at him. "I'm sorry," he told her. "I want us to have time to ourselves as well...and we will...in time."

"Blah blah..." Anna mumbled. "I'll believe it when I see it."

Jun just smiled and kissed her forehead before rolling over. Sixteen years. God that was a long time. Closing his eyes, he drifted off to sleep, not wanting to be woken up for about a week. Yes, that should allow him to get enough sleep.

It was only two week later when Anna shot up from the bed in the middle of the night screaming. She had side pains all day but didn't think about it. However, her water broke while she slept and she was suddenly having horrible contractions. She screamed again.

"Jun! I think it's time!" she screamed.
