Romance Fan Fiction / Other Fan Fiction ❯ Stars Above - A Cassunzel Fanfic ❯ Chapter 13: Sick Day ( Chapter 13 )
"I told you that you were gonna get sick.”
“S-Shut up.” Rapunzel tried to resort only for another shiver to take over.
“She’ll be alright, just needs some proper rest, fluids and so on.” The nurse checking on Rapunzel said. It’s been a week and a half since the incident in Brackley. Cassandra, and Rapunzel, were both hesitant to stay in another village but when Rapunzel came down with a nasty cold, they had no choice. The village was much different than Brackley. Children played on the streets, women shopped, men worked. It was a nice little village. Definitely an upgrade from the creepy dark one they were at before.
The headmaster of this village was a very sweet old lady. They offered to pay, but the older women gave them a free room, free food and whatever else needed until Rapunzel got better. Apparently, this village was terrorized greatly by the black rocks long before Rapunzel and the crew even knew about them. They heard about Rapunzel and Cassandra and were ever so grateful. They even said they wouldn’t turn them in. Cassandra was, of course, skeptical. She always was. Rapunzel wasn’t. It wouldn’t be Rapunzel and Cassandra if Cassandra wasn’t skeptical and Rapunzel was too trusting. Cassandra relented though when Rapunzel’s condition only worsened.
The nurse left medicine for Rapunzel to take then left with a smile. Cassandra had to admit, this village was pretty cool. It had a comforting aura about it that even she felt. Despite being in unfamiliar place, she was pretty relaxed. Well, as relaxed as she could get while worrying about Rapunzel.
After the nurse left, Cassandra had fretted over her for two hours. Rapunzel, though appreciative, was getting severely annoyed and finally said something. “Cass, I’m fine. It’s only a little cold.”
“But it’s gotten worse over the last couple days! What if it’s something worse? What if it’s some unknown disease we know nothing about that’s slowly killing you?!”
“Okay, now you’re just being dramatic. The nurse said I’ll be fine. I’m not dying or anything, so calm down, will you?”
Cassandra slumped in the chair next to Rapunzel’s bed and crossed her arms with a pout. “I just wanna take care of you like you always do for me.”
Rapunzel leaned over and grasped Cassandra’s hand with a smile. Bringing it back to the bed with her, she responded. “And I appreciate it, Cass. It’s really sweet and quite honestly, adorable.” Rapunzel didn’t miss the cute blush that spread across Cass’s cheeks. “But you’re worrying over nothing. What about that arm of yours?” Shortly after they found shelter after the incident, Cassandra finally felt all the pain that came when the adrenaline vanished. She apparently had a nasty gash on her arm and Rapunzel did the same thing Cass was doing to her right now for hours.
“It’s fine.” Cassandra mumbled.
“Really?” Rapunzel asked with a skeptical eyebrow. “Let me see it then.” She reached for her arm but Cass pulled it away.
“It’s fine, Raps.”
“Uh-huh.” Rapunzel didn’t buy it for a second. She reached over and grabbed the arm.
“Ow- hey!”
“Oh, stop being such a baby and let me rewrap it.”
"You’re supposed to be resting.”
“And you’re supposed to be rewrapping this every couple hours so it doesn’t get infected.” Rapunzel gave her a reprimanding look before grabbing some bandages. She unwrapped it, cleaned it, then rewrapped it again.
“You know, I’m supposed to be taking care of you right now. Not the other way around.”
“Who said that?”
"I did.” Cassandra sighed before sitting on the edge of the bed. “Listen, you’re always taking care of me and looking after me. You’ve done so much for me, the least I could do is take care of you.”
“Cass, you don’t have to do anything for me. You don’t owe me anything.”
“I know,” Cassandra responded. “But I want to.” When Rapunzel gave her an unsure look, Cassandra gave her her absolute best puppy dog eyes. “Please?”
Rapunzel couldn’t help but relent. “Fine. But you need to take care of yourself as well. That means no skipping meals, no skipping sleep and rewrapping and cleaning your bandaging every couple hours.” Rapunzel knew her too well.
“Fine, deal.” Cassandra smiled and made herself comfortable next to Rapunzel. Rapunzel cuddled into her side for warmth because she was so damn cold.
“Where did you learn to give puppy dog eyes? And when did you start?” Rapunzel looked up and gave her an amused grin.
Cassandra blushed and looked away. “I learned from the best. Besides, it’s not a big deal.”
Rapunzel giggled and leaned up to kiss her girlfriend on the cheek. “I think it’s cute. My big tough fierce warrior has a cutesy side.”
Cassandra’s blushed deepened. “Yeah, well, that side never leaves between us.”
Rapunzel giggled again. “I promise. But you gotta show that side of yourself more often. Well, unless you use it to get something out of me, then I would be done for.”
Cassandra laughed. “Welcome to my life. There’s a reason I can never say no to you. Actually, I’m pretty sure it’s the reason no one can say no to you. It’s some sort of weird gift you have.”
Rapunzel laughed. “I’m gonna take that as a compliment.”
“It wasn’t not supposed to be one.” Cassandra then realized something. “Hold on a second, all this time, all I had to do was give you a little puppy dog eyes and you would listen? Man, I wish I knew that before. Would’ve saved us a lot of trouble.”
Rapunzel laughed again. “Uh-huh, like you would do it in front of Eugene.”
“We’ll it would have been a chance I was will-”
"Or Adira.”
Cassandra immediately stopped. “Oh, hell no.”
Rapunzel let out another laugh which made Cassandra grin. Cassandra was doing everything she could to focus Rapunzel away from the pain that was being caused to her not that much earlier. “Well, if you did do it then, I would’ve been seriously confused and maybe even a little concerned.”
Cassandra chuckled. “I suppose that makes sense. But now I have you at my mercy. I know your weakness, Princess Rapunzel.”
“Gasp! Oh no, my secret is out! Whatever shall I do?” It only took both women a matter of seconds before they both burst out laughing.
“Besides,” Rapunzel said after calming down. “Your weakness is the same as mine.”
“Oh yeah?”
“Yep. I can get you to do anything I say with just a look.”
“Try me.”
“Alright, but you asked for it.” Rapunzel leaned up and gave Cassandra her best puppy dog eyes. “After I get better, you have to let me take you out on a date.”
“What? No way!” Cassandra would be thrilled to go out on a date with her, but she was always the one who took her out and treated her. Cassandra wasn’t about to have it switched and let Rapunzel treat her. She was against the idea when Rapunzel tried it for the first time. And the time after that. And after that. She always resorted to ‘you deserve to be treated to something special, it's a time where I can do everything I can to show show you that I love and appreciate you, and I really don't need any of that’. Cassandra was surprisingly a very good romantic. And boy, did she know how to treat a woman right when it comes to dates. Rapunzel was surprised to find out that she hadn't really been in many other relationships other than the one she had with her. Besides, Cass didn't need Rapunzel to show her all that, she already knew. But Rapunzel never gave up asking her ever since their first date out on the road. Cass always said no. Cassandra wasn’t much of a ‘get pampered and treated like royalty with gifts and romantic gestures’ kind of person. She didn’t like the one being focused on. She never thought she deserved it.
“Please?”
"No.”
Rapunzel pulled out the big guns as she leaned her head against Cassandra’s shoulder, grasped her hand in hers, and gave her her absolute best puppy dog eyes. “Pretty please? You do so much for me and I just love you so much. I just want to show you how much I appreciate and love you. Why won’t you let me? Do you not trust me?” Oh, she pulled the trust card. That wasn't fair. Cassandra mistakenly looked down at her. Rapunzel was looking up at her with a slight hurt expression, tears somehow in her eyes, while she kept the puppy dog eyes as well. How she looked adorable, sad and hopeful at the same time, Cassandra had no idea. She was a natural born genius. In a way, Cassandra couldn't have been more proud.
“Oh, you are good.” Cassandra groaned. “You pulled the trust card, that’s not fair. That’s hitting deep.”
Rapunzel didn’t budge as she continued her charade. “Please, Cass?” Cassandra tried to look away but she could feel her eyes boring into her. She started to sweat as she did everything she could not to relent. She failed. Miserably.
Cassandra groaned and slumped. “Fine.”
“Really?” Rapunzel asked, hopeful.
“Yeah. But you gotta keep it simple! No big gestures or anything.”
“I promise!” Rapunzel smiled brightly. Cassandra decided that she didn’t regret her decision if it meant she could see Rapunzel smile like that.
“You have some sort of natural born talent.”
Rapunzel giggled but Cassandra could see the cocky grin. “Told you I could get you to do whatever I say with just a look.”
“Uh-huh, but it wasn’t just a look. You used words in there too. It caught me off guard, that wasn’t far.”
“Then maybe you need to work on keeping your guard up, huh?”
“Oh-ho, really? Getting cocky now, are we?”
“Mhm. I've learned from the best.” She repeated the same thing Cass said earlier.
“Exactly. You’re pro at the guilt-trip, puppy dog stuff and the 'innocent act'. But I’m pro at the sarcasm, snarky remarks and brute talk. And the teasing. And the provoking.”
“Aww, but it’s so much fun to tease you! I'm better at it nowadays, anyway.” She smirked.
Cassandra chuckled. “You’re playing a dangerous game, Raps.”
“Hm, I remember you saying that nearly three weeks ago.”
“Right, right before I fucked you until you were screaming my name.”
“Cass!” Rapunzel gasped with a deep blush.
Cassandra only smirked. “I told you, you’re playing a dangerous game.”
But Rapunzel’s stubbornness made her continue. “Oh, yeah? How bad can you really get?"
“Oh, I can get pretty bad. You're really asking for it.”
“Sure, sure. Whatever you say." Rapunzel's curiosity got the better of her. Sure, Cassandra was good at that stuff. But how far could she really go? She didn't know if she wanted to find out, but she still provoked her.
“I’m warning you, Raps. I would turn back now if I were you.”
“No way. I’m too stubborn for that.”
“Your stubbornness is gonna be your downfall.”
“Look who’s talking.”
“Oh, just like how you were talking the other night?”
Rapunzel huffed. “That all you got?”
“Oh no, I’m just getting started.” Cassandra turned towards her as she propped herself on her arm in the surprisingly large bed. It was the same size as Rapunzel’s bed back in Corona. “So, Rapunzel, how are you feeling now?”
Cassandra was propped on her arm, her head was tilted and her hair fell over her eyes slightly. She was giving her a cocky, suggestive grin. She looked so hot. She looked dominating. And Cassandra knew this. Cassandra knew what this position was doing to her. “Fine, thanks.” Rapunzel responded casually, trying to keep her flustered emotions in check, and looked away.
“Oh, really?” She grinned wider before trailing her hand slowly up Rapunzel’s thigh. She stopped short from the place Rapunzel suddenly wanted to be touched. “Not feeling anything else?”
“N-N-” Rapunzel cleared her throat. “Nope. Nothing. Nothing at all.”
“Uh-huh, sure. Your face says otherwise.”
“I-I’m sick. So, it’s because of that.”
“Oh, don’t play the sick card now. You seem pretty fine to me. Medicine must’ve kicked in.”
“O-Oh well, uhm..” Suddenly feeling very hot and stuffy, Rapunzel tried to scoot away but Cassandra only smirked and got closer.
“Admit it, you can get me to do anything you want with a look and sweet words while I can make you crazy with a couple of touches and dirty words.”
“I’m not admitting to anything.” Rapunzel crossed her arms stubbornly.
“Then I’ll only make it harder for you.” Cassandra trailed her hand up Rapunzel’s body before grasping her face. Roughly but not enough to hurt her and leaned in to kiss her. But she stopped barely inches from her lips with a smirk. “Can’t kiss, remember? You’re sick.”
“That’s not fair, Cass.” Rapunzel mumbled as she stared at her girlfriend’s lips.
“I’m only abiding by your rules, remember?” She let go of her face and noticed Rapunzel squeezing her legs together. She was trying to make it subtle, but Cassandra noticed nonetheless. Cassandra smirked and placed her hand in between her legs before trailing her hand up slowly and sensually. Rapunzel stiffened as Cassandra got closer to the place that was throbbing. She stopped short for a minute, the anticipation killing Rapunzel, before she rubbed the outer part of her underwear. “If you don’t feel anything, why are you so wet?” Cassandra whispered hotly into her ear.
Rapunzel had to bite back a moan as Cassandra rubbed slightly. “N-No reason.” She managed to stutter out. It was a stupid answer, but it was the only one Rapunzel could seem to find.
Cassandra suddenly pulled back. “Oh, really? Then I guess we don’t need to continue then.”
Rapunzel could not believe this. Cassandra sat back in a comfortable position with a victorious smirk plaguing her lips as if she didn’t just relentlessly tease Rapunzel, get her all worked up, then stop. That was a new low. Rapunzel realized that Cassandra won but she didn’t care anymore. She was going to get her back. Cassandra should know by now that Rapunzel wasn’t gonna give up so easily. Pushing herself up, she crawled into Cass’s lap and stradeled her.
“I can play that game too.”
“Oh, can you? I won’t give in so easily like the first time.”
“Then I guess I’m gonna have to step up my game, huh? Oh, and by the way, if you get sick, it’s completely your fault.”
“Unlike you, I have a strong immune system. And an even stronger resolve.”
“We’ll see.” Rapunzel smiled before it turned dark and suggestive. “I can find ways to get you to give in.”
“Like what?”
“Like this.” Rapunzel thrusted against her. Roughly.
Cassandra let out a low groan but otherwise didn’t budge. “Sorry, Raps, not gonna work.”
“Oh, I’m just getting started.” Rapunzel stated, using Cassandra’s earlier phrase. She ran her hands up Cassandra’s body. From her legs, to her torso, to rubbing gently against her breasts, back up to her neck. Cassandra still refused to budge but Rapunzel could tell she was having a hard time holding back. “I wonder what sort of things you could do to me. What about that new toy you bought?”
Cassandra’s eyes widened. “How did you-”
“You’re not as sneaky as you think. Why don’t we put it to the test, huh? See if it works.”
Cassandra gulped but shook her head. “Nope, not working.”
“Really? Cause I think it is. Hm, I wonder how much harder and faster you can be with that thing, don’t you? I know you just love to make me scream.” Cassandra groaned. Rapunzel grinned. Almost there. “I bet you can make me scream real loud with that thing, huh? What did you say earlier?” Rapunzel thought for a second then smirked. “You fucked me while I screamed your name? Think about how much louder you can make me scream with that new toy of yours.”
Cassandra groaned before finally saying: “Get off me and hold on.” Rapunzel grinned and hopped off her. Cassandra got up and dug in her bag for the male like penis she bought. She bought it recently in a sex shop in this town. It brought pleasure to both ends. Whatever a male felt during intercourse, it sends waves of pleasure to make sure Cassandra felt the same. She turned around and when she did, she stopped in her tracks. Rapunzel was laying on the bed, her legs crossed and she was giving her the most sexy expression she had ever seen in her damn life. Hell, she was doing the most sexy pose she had ever seen. Cassandra turned around and locked the door. “Let’s hope that medicine stays working for a long time.” Rapunzel didn’t even have time to react before Cass pretty much pounced on her like a predator pounced on its prey. Cass’s lips were on hers in an instant. Rapunzel melted into the kiss and kissed her back just as feverishly.
Both women mentally decided that foreplay was out of the question right now. They were both to worked up to wait. They had their clothes discarded in a matter of minutes while they ravished each other. Cassandra pressed Rapunzel into the bed as she kissed with her tongue and thrusted her hips against hers. She reluctantly pulled away so she could get the toy all set up. She got it set up in a matter of two minutes before she started kissing Rapunzel again. Rapunzel moaned into the kiss and trailed her hands up and down her body.
Cassandra pulled away. “You can be a little vixen, you know that?”
“Uh-huh and that stays between us.”
“Aw, why? The next time I see Eugene, I want to brag about how much more pleasure I bring you than he ever did.”
“Tell anyone and everyone knows about your cute, softer side.”
“Fine, fine.” Cassandra grumbled. “You’re no fun.”
“Just shut up and kiss me, will you?”
“Alright, fine. Bossy, bossy.” But Cassandra listened. She kissed her with passion and desire. Rapunzel returned it.
Cassandra reluctantly pulled back again so she could align herself up. She was about to press forward when Rapunzel stopped her: “Go slow at first. Please?”
Cassandra could see the slight worry so she leaned forward and kissed her nose. “Of course. Tell me if it hurts, kay?” Rapunzel smiled and nodded. With that, Cassandra slowly started to press forward. She had to bite back a gasp because the pleasure was immediate. She could feel everything. She could feel Rapunzel and it felt so damn good. Is this how men felt? She was insanely jealous. It took everything Cassandra had not to thrust forward as she finally pushed in all the way to the hilt. She looked at Rapunzel and with barely contained groans, she asked: “You okay?” She would never act on her own pleasure if it meant hurting Rapunzel.
Rapunzel nodded. “I’m okay. It’s just a little weird at first. You can start moving though.” Cassandra nodded and pulled out before slowly pushing back in. This time, she couldn’t hold back a groan. She didn’t know how much longer she could keep control.
“R-Raps, I-”
“Faster, Cass.” Rapunzel whispered. She didn’t have to tell her twice. Cassandra snapped her hips forward.
“Ah!” Rapunzel let out a surprised moan as she arched her back.
As Cassandra started pounding into her, Rapunzel’s voice grew in volume. Rapunzel turned to silence herself but only for Cass to rip her hands away and pin them above her head. “You said you wanted me to make you scream, so that’s what I’m gonna do. That’s a promise.”
“B-But Cass, they’ll hear-”
“Good. Then they’ll all know who you belong to.” Cassandra rolled her hips, making Rapunzel groan. “Who do you belong to, Rapunzel?”
“Y-You, C-Ca-” She tried to speak, she really did. But Cassandra’s damn hip thrusts were clouding her thoughts.
“Sorry, I didn’t hear you. Who, now?” Rapunzel couldn’t respond even if she wanted to. Cassandra let out an aggravated, very sexy if Rapunzel had anything to say about it, growl. ”Who, Rapunzel?”
“Ah- ....mm, you.. Cass..” She managed to mutter out.
Cassandra smirked. “Good.” Cassandra then put one of Rapunzel’s leg over her shoulder and started pounding into her from a different angle. Rapunzel’s eyes opened wide and she let out a surprised deep moan. “Like that, huh?”
Cassandra continued her thrusts. And hell, did she uphold her promise. Rapunzel was all but screaming. Sweat coating Cass's head and body, she leaned forward and continued her deep thrusts. Rapunzel wrapped her arms around her neck and buried her face in her shoulder; letting out small whimpers. “C-....Cass.. mmm.. C-Cass, I-” It snuck up out of nowhere. Rapunzel’s mouth opened in a silent scream as her back arched and she had the most amazing orgasm she has had in her life. Cassandra only thrusted into her a couple more times before she groaned and followed right after Rapunzel.
It took a couple minutes for both women to come down from their high and even longer to catch their breath. Cassandra eventually pulled out, once her body didn’t feel like jelly, and she took the thing off, throwing it god knows where and plopped next to Rapunzel. Both their bodies were still shaking with sweet, sweet euphoria. “That was....” Rapunzel shivered, still out of breath.
“Amazing?” Cassandra asked.
"Better than amazing. It was.. was... extraordinary... astonishing.. breathtaking.”
Cassandra couldn’t stop the smug grin that filled her face. “Good, aren’t I?”
“For someone who’s so insecure, you’re incredibly cocky.”
“For someone who’s so good-natured, you’re incredibly dirty.”
“Touché.” Rapunzel agreed then cuddled into Cassandra. Cassandra smiled then wrapped an arm around her and pulled her into her chest so Rapunzel was laying half on top of her and protective, strong arms were circling her. “Seriously though, that thing is a magic worker.”
“I know. Best purchase I have ever made.”
Rapunzel let out a laugh and cuddled into her even closer. She looked up and smiled sweetly at Cassandra. “What’s that look for?” Cass asked with a cute tilt of her head.
“Nothing. I just love you so much.”
Cassandra smiled and kissed her forehead. “I love you too.”
Rapunzel let the lullaby of Cassandra’s heartbeat put her into a sleep-filled daze. It was then that she realized something and looked up at her girlfriend. “It’s crazy how far we’ve come.”
“Well, yeah, we left Corona months ago-”
“No, not that. Us.”
Cassandra looked down at her in confusion. “What do you mean?”
“Well... Once upon a time ago, you said there was a one in a million chance that you, my lady-in-waiting, would become my friend, the princess. Now look at us.”
Cassandra shrugged. “I meant it, all those years ago. I never really had a friend before. I never fit in with other girls my age and I was often bullied because I was an orphan, among other things. I was just.. different from them. I didn’t do dolls, or dress us, or any girly stuff. I got dirty and wanted to fight and train and I guess they thought that was weird. I had a friend once before you. When I was 15. But she.... It didn’t end well. It turned out to all be a lie. Right then I promised myself I would never let another person in ever again. I would never let my guard down. But when you came into my life, you were the first person other than my father that actually showed some bit of care for me. I guess- no... I was scared that if I did let you in, I would just get hurt in the long-run. You were... different. A good different. But you were just... you were the complete opposite of me. Always positive, always smiling, always helping others. You loved flowers and art and girly things- we were, are, complete polar opposites. Besides that, I was your servant. I pushed you away and continued to do so, but you somehow grew on me. And before I even knew it, I found myself falling for you. You were my opposite but in a way... I felt complete. You brought things out of me that I didn’t even know was in me. More and more, I started to... start being myself for the first time since I was a little girl. Even when I pushed you away, even when I was mean and snappy, and everyone told you to give up, you still tried everything in your power to make me your friend. To make me happy. I kept trying to deny you, but you always came back. I wasn’t used to.. being cared for like that. But there was still that impending feeling that... something bad was gonna happen. But you stuck around and I started to relax more and more. It wasn’t until we left Corona, that I started to have... doubts. As the journey continued... you became more and more out of my reach. I felt like I wasn’t important to you anymore. That my opinion didn’t matter. That I didn’t matter. I started to think that maybe... you never did care about me and it was all a lie. As we drifted apart and more negative thoughts continued to haunt me, I was terrified. But I became so mad. That’s one of the big reasons that I... took the moonstone. I wanted to turn my back on you before you... turned yours on me. For the first time in my life, I didn't want to wait for it to happen. So, I took the first chance I could and before you could hurt me, I.... hurt you.”
Rapunzel’s eyes were filled with tears by the time she was done. “Oh, Cass.. I.. I am so so sorry I made you feel that way. I never... I never stopped caring about you, if that means anything. Ever. You were, are, my best friend. You meant, mean, everything to me, even when we started to drift apart. But, I guess I didn't make it seem that way.. I was too stubborn to see how much I was hurting you. And I am so sorry. I’ve always loved you and I will never ever stop.”
Cassandra smiled down at her. “I know that. ....Now.”
“But I still should’ve made it known the whole time! I should have never made you feel that way.”
“It doesn’t matter now Raps, it’s in the past. Like you said, we all make mistakes. We’ve put it behind us and are better than ever.”
Rapunzel smiled. “Yeah, we are.” She leaned up and kissed her cheek. “I’m glad you told me though. Even if it’s a little too late and in the past.”
Cassandra smiled and nuzzled her which made the princess giggle. Rapunzel then turned and let out a cute sneeze. Cassandra chuckled. “Gesundheit.” Cassandra placed her hand to her head. “Looks like the medicine wore off. Your fevers up again. Can’t give you any more until later tonight.”
Rapunzel shivered and groaned. The adrenaline from earlier wore off and she felt even worse than before. “I hate being sick.”
Cassandra chuckled. “You should get some rest.”
Rapunzel nodded but then stopped and blushed lightly. “Uhm, Cass... Can I ask you a favor?”
“Sure, what is it?” Cassandra responded without hesitation.
“Could you uhm..” Rapunzel’s blush deepened. “Could you sing to me? It will help me fall asleep...”
Cassandra looked down at her in surprise and confusion. “Wha-? Raps, I’m not a good singer. Not like you.”
“Please?” Rapunzel looked up and those damn puppy dog eyes stared back at her. But this time, it wasn’t playful like before. It was desperate and pleading. The younger girl looked miserable right now.
Cassandra gave in. When didn't she give in? “Alright, okay. But get comfortable first.” Rapunzel nodded and nuzzled herself closer into Cassandra’s body. Cassandra nuzzled herself closer to Rapunzel. She gently combed her hand through her hair and started to sing:
“Hush now my baby
Hush now my love
The angels are watching from heaven above
They know that I love you
They know that it’s true
I’ll stay here beside you in whatever you do
When I wake beside you
I feel like I shine
You will forever and ever be mine
A new day starts tomorrow
When you open your eyes
You let in the sunshine
And all darkness dies
Hush now my love,
For what tomorrow brings
You are my sun
I am your moon
You’re my words, you’re my tune
You’re my harmony, my sound
My earth, my sky, my sea
You’re everything to me
You’re my light in the darkness
You’re my peace and happiness
With each passing day, nearer we will become
For when the sun shines high tomorrow
I will still be by your side
Your radiance will shine in the daylight
And I will glow in the moonlight
Together, forever we will be
Destined to be
The stars collide
For you are...
the light of my life.”
"You have a beautiful voice, Cass.." Rapunzel mumbled sleepily and immediately fell asleep right after. Her hand was placed over Cassandra’s heart. Cassandra's heart soared at the sight of it. Cassandra’s eyes softened as she pulled the blanket around them. She smiled with a loving smile and gently kissed the princess’s forehead. ”Forever, we will be. I will make sure that it is our destiny.” Cassandra whispered the last verse. As she pulled Rapunzel closer, the princess smiled and nuzzled her head into her neck. Cassandra rested her head on top of Rapunzel’s and as she listened to Rapunzel’s soft breathing, she slowly started to drift off into a peaceful slumber.
For the moon was nothing without its sun and the sun was nothing without its moon.
