Cassandra started to stir when she felt a slight movement. She tried to cuddle back into familiar warmth only for that warmth to giggle. “Cass?” Rapunzel said, trying to wake the warrior by gently shaking her. Cassandra let out a low groan and turned her head to bury it into Rapunzel’s midsection as she kept her strong arms tightly around her stomach. Rapunzel let out another giggle. “Come on Cass,” She tried again, sitting up and trying to move away. But the warrior refused to let her go and didn’t let her get very far.

“...Five more minutes.” The warrior mumbled sleepily as she nuzzled her in her dazed sleep.

Rapunzel’s heart skipped a beat and she couldn’t help but smile. She loved when Cassandra became affectionate like this. It wasn’t often but when she did it, it was adorable. “You’re the one that said we need to leave at daybreak,”

Cassandra made a humming sound to show her that she was listening but she made no effort in getting up. “I changed my mind,” The warrior mumbled. Cassandra cuddled closer, tightening her hold around Rapunzel’s midsection to make sure she didn't get any farther away. “Lay back down.” Rapunzel rolled her eyes at her ‘demand’ but she otherwise did what she was told and lowered herself back down so that she was laying next to her again instead of sitting up.

Cassandra didn’t take a position above her or wrap her arms around her body like she usually would; instead, she tightened her hold around her midsection and merely buried her face into her chest, before letting out a contented sigh. Rapunzel couldn’t help but smile as she wrapped her arms around the warrior. Cassandra didn’t usually allow her to hold her like this because she was the one always holding her. So when she did allow it, Rapunzel happily took the opportunity.

The princess ran her hand through her short raven hair while her other arm wrapped around Cassandra’s body. Cassandra let out another contentful sigh and nuzzled her so that she could push herself closer. After that, the warrior immediately fell back asleep, lured to sleep by the warmth of her lover's body, her fast-beating heartbeat, and the sensations that Rapunzel was doing to her.

---------------------------------------------------

Cassandra was stirred awake by the sun suddenly hitting her face. She groaned and tried to cuddle into warmth but found there was none. Confused, the warrior slowly opened her eyes; the sun hitting her directly in the eyes. She squinted for a second until her fogged sleep-filled brain finally started to awaken. She looked over and she was right, there was an abstinence of a certain princess.

The warrior sat up and stretched, rubbing the rest of the sleep out of her eyes. She was about to leave the tent but then she realized that she was still naked and quickly realized that she didn’t bring a change of clothes. And considering her clothes were just as ripped as Rapunzel’s, that wasn’t good. She was about to stress about it when she looked over and there sat, neatly folded, an extra pair of her clothes from the house. Cassandra smiled due to her wife pretty much remembering everything. She was proud of her considering that she was usually the one that forgot everything. She quickly grabbed her clothes and started to get dressed.

-----------------------------------------

Cassandra opened the tent and stepped outside. The sun pretty much blinded her as soon as she stepped outside. After her eyes adjusted and she could see, something else blinded her.

There stood Rapunzel, standing over the lake, feeding ducks what seemed to be pieces of bread. She wore a beautiful smile, her freckles and skin glowing in the sunlight. She was wearing a green shirt that hugged her body quite nicely; the shirt almost matched her eye color, making them glow and make her appear even more beautiful. She also wore a pair of tight jeans that hugged her ass- I mean
. The rest of her body even better. She practically glowed in the sunlight and the surrounding area was making her appear even brighter. The area was beautiful at night already but now, during the day, it was breathtaking. But of course, that wasn’t the only breathtaking thing to Cassandra's eyes. The warrior had never seen this outfit before. She trailed her eyes down her body, taking in her curves and everything else. At some point, Cassandra’s eyes landed on her behind, the pants making it impossible to deny how well-toned and beautiful she was everywhere.

Although, Cassandra would never deny her beauty anyway. Rapunzel was the most beautiful person she had ever met. Whether it be her hot-ass body or her shining, loving personality, Rapunzel was gorgeous. Cassandra realized that she had been standing there, pretty much staring at her ass, for nearly two minutes. She was surprised the princess hadn’t noticed her yet but considering she was busy feeding the animals, it made sense.

Cassandra trailed her eyes back up her body and although the warrior knew Rapunel’s body like she knew the back of her hand; from her curves to every drop, every scar, every dimple, every mark
she still studied the princess’s body nonetheless like it was the first time she had ever seen it. And just like the first time she saw Rapunzel’s body, saw Rapunzel in general, she fell in love all over again.

Feeling a sudden course of desire spread throughout her body, she licked her lips and finally walked forward. Instead of warning her that she was behind her, she instead surprised her from behind, wrapping her arms around her stomach before pressing a kiss to the side of her neck from behind.

Rapunzel, although slightly startled, immediately relaxed upon realizing who it was. Cassandra pressed another kiss to her neck, making Rapunzel giggle. “Good morning to you too,”

“Good morning is right,” Cassandra responded, taking Rapunzel off guard by how heated and sultry her voice sounded this early in the morning. “You look hot.” She said simply and without shame.

Rapunzel blushed but rolled her eyes at Cassandra’s bold honesty. “Don’t I always though, according to you?” She asked, teasing her.

“Yeah,” Cassandra agreed. “But you look especially hot today.” By proving her point, she moved her hands from around her stomach to trail up her body before, out of nowhere, and without warning, placed her hands over her breasts from behind. Rapunzel was so taken off guard by Cassandra’s sudden boldness that she almost pulled back. Cassandra kissed her neck from behind before massaging her breasts. Rapunzel didn’t even get to respond because suddenly, Cassandra’s hands trailed down her body before they groped her behind. Rapunzel let out a squeak and slightly jumped in surprise. Again, such.. vulgarness took the princess off guard - Cassandra had never done this before. Usually, she wouldn’t just outright grope her because of ‘dignity’ and ‘respect’. What the hell got into her all of a sudden? Then again, Rapunzel couldn't complain. It made her heart race and a new feeling of adrenaline and euphoria started to spread throughout her body like a wildfire. And desire.

Cassandra rubbed and then squeezed gently. Although it didn't particularly cause any pleasure, it still caused a surprised moan to escape from between Rapunzel's lips. It came out without her permission and it even surprised her.

She could feel Cassandra's face morph into a smirk against her neck. Rapunzel eventually turned her head slightly back and caught Cassandra's lips in a kiss. Cassandra kissed her back and tilted her head even more, gently pulling on her hair with one hand, causing another moan to escape her.

Cassandra didn't even say anything - one moment her hands were groping her, and the next one of them disappeared into the front of Rapunzel's jeans as the warrior kissed her passionately, tongue and all. Cassandra started to pleasure her right then and there; her hand rubbing in all her sensitive areas. Rapunzel had to let go of her lips because she couldn't keep her moans in anymore.

Rapunzel almost fell from the pleasure but Cassandra kept her upright by holding her in place with one arm around her stomach from behind. Cassandra kissed her neck and anywhere she could reach while Rapunzel's moans grew, her head falling back on her shoulder.

Cassandra took the chance to lean down and catch Rapunzel's lips into another fiery kiss. She then sped up her torture and when Rapunzel pulled away again and her moans grew louder, the warrior knew that she was close. Cassandra entered her with two fingers before rubbing her clit. That did it.

Rapunzel's mouth went slack as her head fell back against her shoulder again. Her body stilled and convulsed as she rode out her orgasm. When she could finally catch her breath, she said in a heated, raspy whisper: "Good morning indeed,"

Cassandra couldn't help but laugh. She still stayed behind her as she wrapped her arms around her stomach like before, pulling her back into her chest. "Sorry," The warrior replied. "I couldn't help myself."

Rapunzel turned around in her arms and wrapped her arms around her neck. She leaned forward and pressed a kiss to her lips before pulling back with a satisfied grin. "Hey, I'm not complaining. That was the perfect way to start a morning."

Cassandra couldn't help but laugh again as she nuzzled her. "Glad I could help,"

Rapunzel instead surprised Cassandra by reaching her hands behind her and groping her. Rapunzel smirked. "How about I make yours just as good?"

Cassandra, also taken off guard, if not more, made a humming sound as she stared at her lips. "I wouldn't be obliged to that,"

Rapunzel seemed to take that for an answer as she caught Cassandra's lips into another deep kiss. While kissing her, she gently pushed her back with her hands on her chest until her back hit a tree. Rapunzel leaned up on her tippy toes so that she could reach her better as she kissed the hell out of her.

At some point, the princess pulled back ever so slightly but didn't completely pull away from her lips. Both women were panting, their breaths fanning over each other's lips as they stared passionately into each other's eyes.

Then Rapunzel gave her a smirk. "I know how to pleasure a woman too, you know," She said in a sultry whisper, her voice heated and ever so hot. "I may not have as much experience as you," Rapunzel continued before slipping her hands under her shirt and started to slowly trail them up. Cassandra stiffened. "But I don't need any because I know you." She purred before sliding her hands up more. Cassandra couldn't help but shiver at the warmth it brought to her; both literally and figuratively.

"I know what feels good for you," Rapunzel said, emphasizing by groping her breasts in a way that she knew would cause a reaction. She was right, a moan, almost a groan, escaped out of the warrior. "I know what drives you crazy," The princess continued, slipping her hands behind her before starting to drag her nails sensually up her back all the while firmly pushing her body against the warriors. Rapunzel leaned forward until their lips were brushing against each other. "And I know how to get you coming apart in my arms." She whispered before catching her lips again.

Cassandra usually wouldn't let her take charge like this, but that's just the thing: She wasn't technically taking charge. She could tell by the way the princess had a loose hold on her that she was trying to show the warrior that she still had complete control and could change the situation if she desired to. But if Cassandra was being honest, she didn't want to. Maybe it was okay to allow herself to be 'treated like royalty’ for once. Afterall, Rapunzel was right, she technically was royalty now. Although she had been for years at this point, the title was still very foreign to her. She did grow up as a simple 'commoner', as well as a servant to the Royal kingdom. Now that she was 'royalty'... Well, she would never get used to that.

Rapunzel was surprised by Cassandra's lack of 'taking charge' as well. She didn't know who was getting treated more: Cassandra or her because she was given this opportunity to pleasure her for once instead of the other way around. And Rapunzel most certainly wasn't gonna waste it.

She continued to kiss the warrior before slipping a hand into her shirt again. She pushed her tongue into Cassandra's mouth and pushed herself as close as she could possibly get. She slowly trailed her other hand down her body before slipping it into her pants. While kissing the hell out of her, she massaged her breast, as well as pleasured her with her hand.

Cassandra found herself unable to hold onto her lips anymore as her head fell back against the tree with a deep moan. " F-Fuck
"

Rapunzel sped up slightly, pushing herself closer. She smirked. "See, you're not the only one with skills~." For the first time, Cassandra found herself unable to respond.

The princess eventually lifted Cassandra's shirt over her head before doing the last thing she expected. She latched her mouth on her breast. Cassandra's eyes shot open (when did they even close?). "F-Fuck!" Rapunzel made haste, sucking, swirling her tongue, before switching to the next one. All the while, she never stopped pleasuring her with her hand.

Cassandra had probably never moaned so much in her life. She wasn't much of a moaner but it was just too good. It wasn't long before she felt herself close but it wasn't enough. "R-R-Raps... Mmm.. f-fuck.." She tried to tell her but she honestly couldn't focus on what she was even trying to say. She couldn't really focus on anything other than the princess’s warm tongue and her skilled fingers working fucking magic.

But Rapunzel somehow knew exactly what she was trying to say. The princess let go of her breast and moved back up to her mouth. She caught her lips in another kiss before changing the strategy she was using before. Rapunzel pressed her palm firmly against her womanhood, especially her clit, before arching her fingers upwards, and then she rubbed harshly. That did it. Rapunzel caught Cassandra's cry of release as the warrior's body shook. Cassandra's senses all just kinda disappeared for a second. She swore to god that she couldn't breathe. She vaguely felt the princess remove her hand but it took about 30 seconds before she could even breathe again. When she could, she was left panting.

When she could finally see again, she was met with a smirking Rapunzel. "Wow." Was the only word Cassandra was able to make out.

"I told you that you're not the only one who can, what did you call it last night?" Rapunzel pretended to 'think', tapping her chin in 'thought'. Then the princess smirked. "Oh, that's right: 'make you scream?'"

Cassandra narrowed her eyes. "I was not screaming."

Rapunzel grinned. "You so were! The whole forest probably heard you!"

Cassandra blushed but rolled her eyes to cover it. "I'm only giving it to you 'cause that was amazing."

"What can I say?" Rapunzel said smugly before leaning forward to press her lips against Cassandra's. "I know how to take care of my wife." She finished, her lips still brushing against Cassandra's.

Cassandra pressed back, digging her hand into her hair. The passionate kiss lasted for nearly a minute before either pulled apart. "Yeah you do," Cassandra responded in a whisper, her voice full of love.

Rapunzel smiled and pressed her forehead against hers. She closed her eyes for a second before pulling back. "I love you," She said genuinely. "More than anything or anyone that I've ever loved."

Cassandra smiled and pressed a soft, lasting kiss to her forehead. "Yeah, me too." She responded softly. Rapunzel couldn't help but smile; always a woman of a few words.

Rapunzel gave her a soft smile. "It really has been an adventure, huh?"

Cassandra smiled and pressed her forehead to Rapunzel's again. "The adventures are not over yet. We still have many more to come."

Rapunzel closed her eyes and smiled. "Yeah," She responded before reopening them. "I'm just glad that I get to spend it with you. And Nova."

Cassandra smiled. “Me too, Raps,” She responded, which Rapunzel returned before she started talking again. “We should really get going though,” She responded, looking up at the sky, which happened to be weirdly cloudy. “It looks like it’s gonna rain.”

Rapunzel looked up at the sky too and she tilted her head in confusion. “It was just sunny a moment ago,” She mumbled. “What’s with the clouds all of a sudden?”

Cassandra just shrugged. “Eh, it’s not unusual. This area tends to have weird weather changes all the time. It has gone from literally snowing to sunny within a couple of hours.”

Rapunzel tilted her head. “Wait, you’ve been in this area before?”

The warrior smiled. “I’ve been everywhere, here and there,” She responded. “You can travel a lot in 4 years. And believe me, the weather here sucks.”

“But it’s been sunny the entire time we’ve been here. It’s literally summer. Don’t you think that it seems to be a bit
 off-putting?”

Cassandra just grabbed her hand, and held her before saying: “You worry too much.”

“Look who’s talking,” Rapunzel responded. She resisted the urge to remind her that she was the one who told her that she needed to be more 'cautious' in the first place.

Cassandra immediately skipped over that statement. “It’ll be fine, the weather is always like this. Besides,” The warrior pushed her body against Rapunzel’s as she held her hand between them. “I’m with you, what’s the worst that could happen?”

“Cass, don’t say things like that!” Rapunzel whined. “Whenever someone says ‘what’s the worst that could happen’, something bad always happens! And considering our track record, we really cannot afford to be jinxed!”

Cassandra rolled her eyes and started to drag her toward the opening where they came in from. “Oh come on, don’t you think you’re being a bit over dramatic? We're not 'jinxed." She said, pulling her with her even though Rapunzel slightly dragged her feet. The princess huffed in annoyance. If there’s any word that she hated more, it was ‘over dramatic’. She could be just as dramatic as she wanted to be, dammit.

“But what about the stuff?” Rapunzel asked hesitantly, pushing her annoyance and worries aside as she pulled back a bit. If Cass said it was going to be okay, it was going to be okay.
.Right?

“It’ll be fine, the rain won’t be able to ruin it and if it does, we can always get more stuff. Trust me, you do not wanna get caught in a rainstorm here. 99% of the time they’re more like hurricanes than just normal rain showers.” Cassandra started to drag her again and this time, Rapunzel walked with her.

Rapunzel tilted her head. “What about the other 1%?”

“If we’re lucky, it might just be a drizzle. But they haven’t had just a ‘drizzle’ in nearly a hundred years.”

Rapunzel grinned. “I like those odds,”

Cassandra snorted. “What odds?” She teased.

“The 1%,” Rapunzel responded with a smile. “It’s better than 0%. Or uh, 100% of the time.”

“Always with positivity with you, huh?” Honestly, Cassandra only said that because she wanted to see Rapunzel’s response.

Rapunzel merely smiled at her. “What can I say?” She responded. “It’s a part of who I am.” Cassandra stopped for a second at that response. She didn’t think Rapunzel even realized what she had just said but it made a smile form on Cassandra’s face nonetheless. The warrior sped up to catch up with her before grabbing her hand, holding it between them.

“Yeah,” She responded softly, smiling down at her. Rapunzel didn’t respond but she returned the smile and leaned against her. They walked in silence for a couple of minutes before they came upon a huge tree; mysteriously blocking their path.

Rapunzel was confused considering that there was no way that this tree could just fall on its own. Back in the tower, Rapunzel read a book on plants and organisms; biology basically. She studied the tree and realized that it wasn’t that old of a tree so it couldn’t have been dead, which would have been the main reason as to why it would have fallen over. It was cloudy but it wasn’t windy. Her eyes drifted to the base of the tree, where the tree was separated from the stump, and something about the cut of it seemed
 off.

But she didn’t get to contemplate it for long though because Cassandra spoke.

“Guess we’ll have to take another path,” Cassandra said suddenly.

“Through the forest?” Rapunzel asked worriedly.

“Yeah, but it’ll be fine. There’s a path that we can take just through the trees that most don’t know about. It’s safe. Come on,” The warrior said, turning in the direction of the forest. She was about to continue forward when she realized Rapunzel wasn’t following her. She looked back and noticed how Rapunzel was studying the base of the tree, her face twisted into a confused, worried expression. Cassandra knew that look. “Raps, everything okay?”

Rapunzel jumped slightly, like she forgot that she was even there, and turned towards her. “Y-Yeah,”

“Are you sure?”

Rapunzel nodded and walked towards her. “I’m probably just overreacting.” She said, using the word Cassandra used earlier. Maybe she was just overreacting

“Overreacting?” Cassandra tilted her head. “About what?”

Rapunzel glanced back towards the tree. She thought about just saying 'forget it' and ignoring her thoughts but she started speaking anyway. “It’s just strange,” She started. “It’s not windy and the tree isn’t old enough to fall on its own. And the cut
” She trailed off before shaking her head. She shot Cassandra with a reassuring smile. “It’s alright, like I said, I’m probably just overreacting. Let’s go.” That was it, she was just overreacting
Rapunzel resisted every instinct she had and walked past Cassandra. Her instincts were usually wrong anyway, at least they had been lately.

Cassandra nodded hesitantly after she walked past her. She was hesitant herself, the princess usually had good instincts and something stopped her
Cassandra slowly shook her head and jogged to catch up with the princess. She'll talk to her about it when they finally return to the house, where it's safe. They walked for what seemed like a lifetime before Rapunzel finally spoke up.

“Cass, are you sure you know where you’re going?”

Cassandra nodded. “Of course I do,” She responded with confidence. “But this path does seem a lot longer than I remember.”

“When was the last time you were here?”

“Like a month before I returned to Corona.”

“That was nearly 5 years ago.”

“And? It’s not like the path has changed. Don’t worry, Raps.” Cassandra gave her a reassuring smile. “Just trust me, I know exactly where we are and I know exactly where we’re going.” The princess wasn't very reassured but she nodded hesitantly anyway. It wasn't that she didn't trust that Cass knew where she was going because she did, it was the fact that she felt like something was.. watching them. Following them. And it made her uneasy and jumpy.

“Okay,” She responded with instead of expressing her worries. “I trust you.” Cassandra gave her an appreciative smile before they fell into a comfortable silence, hand-in-hand. Eventually, they came into a clearing, bringing them to a canyon but it was different from the one they were at prior.

“It’s just through here,” Cassandra said and started to walk forward. But again, she realized that Rapunzel wasn’t following her. She turned around and became concerned, and confused, about the worried, hesitant look on her face. She was just outside the canyon, standing on the edge like there was a barrier preventing her from walking forward. “Rapunzel? You okay?” Cassandra asked, walking back to her, using her full name due to her worry. Rapunzel took a second to respond and she didn’t even meet her eye contact. She was staring at the canyon with a horror-filled expression; like it was the most terrifying thing she’s ever seen. “Raps?” Cassandra asked, reaching out to place her hand on her shoulder. She pulled back in surprise when Rapunzel jumped. The princess’s eyes finally met her own.

“This place is just like my dream, Cass,” Rapunzel said quickly, her eyes presenting one of concern and fear.

Cassandra frowned slightly and sighed. “It was just a dream Raps,”

“Are you serious?” Rapunzel asked, her voice shifting into something Cassandra had never heard from her before. She couldn't even really describe it. “First there just so happens to be a tree blocking our path, now we’re at this canyon that looks exactly like my dream? It can’t be a coincidence.”

Cassandra rolled her eyes. “Don’t you think you’re being a tad overdramatic?” There was that word again. She could call herself dramatic but whenever Cassandra did it, it only angered her. It made her feel like she wasn't being heard. When Rapunzel only glared at her, Cassandra sighed. “Look Raps, this is the only path back.” She gave her what she hoped was another reassuring smile and lent her hand out to her. “We’ll be extra careful, okay? And we’ll be quick.”

Rapunzel stared at her hand for a second, a hesitant look on her face. After a couple of seconds, she slowly nodded and grabbed it. Cassandra smiled and pulled her with her; still feeling some resistance. But the princess eventually stopped resisting and walked next to her, holding her hand tightly, her eyes shooting everywhere. She was pressed as close to her as she possibly could. Cassandra gave her hand a soft squeeze to remind her that she was there and that she was safe and wasn’t gonna let anything happen to her. Rapunzel relaxed slightly but she could tell that she was still on guard.

They were probably about halfway through the canyon when suddenly, Rapunzel saw something quickly disappear in the corner of her eye. Surprised and taken off guard, the princess spun around, letting go of Cassandra’s hand in the process. Cassandra stopped in confusion and slight concern. “Raps?” She asked but the princess didn’t seem to be paying attention to her. Her eyes were narrowed and were studying the area as if she was looking for something. “Rapunzel?” Cassandra tried again. She knew that Rapunzel heard her that time by the way she slightly shifted toward her but she gave no effort in responding.

Before Cassandra could call her name again, the princess suddenly shouted, “Watch out!” She was suddenly tackled to the ground. As soon as they were both on the floor, daggers made of shadows sailed past them, hitting a rock, completely disintegrating it as soon as it made contact.

They didn’t have time to contemplate it because they heard low laughter and slow clapping. They both knew both of those sounds. They both hated those sounds. Cassandra quickly stood up with Rapunzel following and unleashed her sword before placing a protective arm in front of the princess. As soon as they did, Azriel came into view, his shadows surrounding them. He wore a smirk as he slowly walked towards them, before promptly stopping. “Did you really think that I wouldn’t find you, princess?” Azriel asked with a smirk, looking past Cassandra.

Cassandra narrowed her eyes and blocked his view, holding her sword up. Azriel merely gave her a bored look. “Do you really think you’re gonna take me down with that?”

Cassandra narrowed her eyes. “Watch me.” She responded, getting her stance ready for a fight.

Azriel merely smirked. “Fine, if that’s how you want to play it, be my guest. You'll only be amusing me.” He responded before constructing a sword made out of his shadows
it was glowing a black, dark purple-ish color, like the sword itself was coming from somewhere powerful. Somewhere
dark. He pointed it at Cassandra. “Give me the princess and I’ll leave you unharmed.”

Cassandra merely narrowed her eyes. Rapunzel placed a hand on her shoulder from behind, offset by the idea. Azriel was just trying to get under her skin and push her to attack him. “Cass, no,” She whispered. “Don’t.” But Cassandra didn’t listen and she knew that the warrior heard her. She merely kept her narrowed eyes on Azriel, her stance tense, ready to launch herself at any moment. What the hell was she thinking? He has magic on his side and he's a demon, for godsakes! It's a fight she's guaranteed to lose!

"Now isn't the time to be cocky and overprotective, Cassandra!" Rapunzel screamed in her mind, fearful of what was to come. What she knew was coming.

Azriel made a humming sound. “Don’t say that I didn’t give you a chance to turn back. It’s your funeral,” Suddenly, as fast as lightning, Azriel took off toward her. Cassandra was taken off guard by the sudden speed but she was ready and launched herself forward as well. Metal hit... Metal? As Aziel and Cassandra collided. Cassandra narrowed her eyes as she stared into Azriel’s evil red ones. She beat his strength and kicked him in the stomach, making him shoot back, before launching herself forward again.

Azriel rolled his eyes, further pissing Cassandra off. The warrior fought with everything she had, but she was only getting a couple of hits in here and there. The shadows watched them with dark eyes, unmoving, and still as a board. After a strike to the face, Azriel wiped his mouth and suddenly, his eyes went dark and the smirk from before was completely wiped from his face, instead now replaced with an evil grimace. “Alright, playtimes over. I’m ending this.” Suddenly, he disappeared into thin air.

“Wha-” Cassandra asked in surprise, spinning around to try and pinpoint him. “Coward!” The warrior yelled, looking around, keeping her guard up.

Suddenly, she was struck from behind, causing Cassandra to be blasted into one of the rock walls. How the hell was he so strong? Oh that’s right, he was a frickin literal demon. Damn her and her impulsive 'act now, think later' over-protective mind.

“Cass!” She heard the princess yell and rush toward her, only to see her be blocked by Azriel’s shadows.

Cassandra felt cold wetness run down her head. That wasn’t good. She growled when her blurred vision met Ariel's eyes as he descended toward her. “I would stay down If I were you.” He responded, his eyes glowing black and red. But Cassandra didn’t listen. She got to her feet, shakily, and held up her sword.

"Damnit Cassandra, stay down! Please stay down!" The princess screamed in her mind but she knew Cass well enough to know that she never backed down. The princess struggled to get away from the shadows and reach the warrior but she was pinned. "No!" She yelled in her mind, tears already coming to her eyes. She knew what was coming. She needed to reach Cass before then but she couldn't. She was too weak.

Azriel looked her up and down. “You’re persistent and brave, I’ll give you that.” Cassandra didn’t respond, she launched herself at the demon. The demon smirked, his plan worked. “And those characteristics are what get you killed.” He whispered with an evil grin. When Cassandra got close enough, inches away from running him through, he smirked and carried out the rest of his plan.

He crafted another sword, a smaller one. Cassandra was too focused on striking him down that she didn’t even notice it. That’s exactly what Azriel wanted. He did his research on his perpetrators and everyone knew that Cassandra wasn’t easily taken down. She rarely ever went down, whether it be by a demon, a human, or even an animal. She didn’t have many weaknesses and was a skilled fighter that made little to no mistakes. But no one can avoid making mistakes forever and Azriel knew her one weakness: Rapunzel. Especially Rapunzel’s safety.

When she got close enough, Azriel rushed his hand forward, and

Rapunzel saw it before it happened. Everything went in slow motion as she watched the demon successively shoved the long dagger into her midsection, the princess's face twisted into horror and tears running down her face. She didn't make a sound though. She couldn't move.

Cassandra’s surprised, startled eyes met Azriel’s as his smirking ones stared back at her. He then pulled it out as quick as lightning; Cassandra backed up and stumbled, the shock of what just happened taking effect before she fell to the ground.

Rapunzel’s eyes watched in horror as she saw her wife drop to the floor. She was still silent, staring in horror at what had just happened; her worst nightmare coming true. Cassandra fell to the floor in slow motion for her. She watched the dagger being shoved into her stomach, she watched as she backed up in surprise, and she watched as she slowly fell to the ground, feeling completely useless as she struggled to escape the shadow’s unending grup. As soon as her body hit the ground, a puddle of blood already started to stain the ground, and that's when Rapunzel’s senses and her voice finally came back to her. “NO!” She screamed, somehow freeing herself from the shadow’s grip. She ran to the warrior, slid on her knees and picked up the barely conscious Cassandra into her arms.

“C-Cass, Cass, hey, hey, hey,” The princess said quickly, pressing her hand to her cheek. She placed her other hand over her rapidly bleeding wound but it proved to be useless. The wound was too big and blood was pouring out way too fast. It covered her entire hand already and most of her arm in blood. Cassandra’s eyes stared back up at her but they were distant... And glossy. “Cassandra, sweetheart, hey, st-stay with me, please.” Cassandra didn’t respond. Azriel merely watched, his expression dark and cruel as he watched the princess try everything she could to save her.

Tears were streaming down her face as she watched the life slowly fade away from her wife's eyes. Rapunzel snapped her eyes up to Azriel’s. “What the hell did you do?!” She screamed, a wave of anger and pain like never before reflecting in her voice.

Azriel’s face remained neutral and emotionless. “I tried to warn her but she didn’t listen,” He said. Rapunzel wasn’t even paying attention to him anymore, she went back to talking to the rapidly fading warrior, trying to keep her awake, trying everything and anything to save her. Azriel then signaled to one of his shadows, the red-eyed one, and the black shadow rushed forward before wrapping its long arms around Rapunzel, pulling her away from the warrior.

“No! Let me go!” She screamed, trying everything to get away. But the shadow had an endless grip on her; it was as if she was being held into a chained cage. “I need to save her!”

“It’s already too late for her. Besides, you won’t need her where you’re going.” Azriel said heartlessly before signaling for his shadows to follow him, bringing Rapunzel along, bringing her even farther and farther away from Cassandra. Rapunzel kicked her legs, struggled, screamed, and cried, trying everything to get back to the dying warrior. The princess was shouting Cassandra’s name over and over again as she was being forcibly dragged away.

Cassandra, who was barely alive and laying in the same stop with a puddle of blood underneath her, her eye’s focused ever so slightly on the sound of someone screaming her name. Her blurred vision watched as Azriel and his shadows carried away the princess. The farther she went, the less she could hear her. “R-Rapunzel
” That was all she said before everything went black.
