Chapter 9

"Thank again." Kyoto bowed as she escorted the two officers to the door.
"No problem, Date-san, and we'll call you if we find anything." The older officer said as his partner bowed.
"Thank you." She repeated, showing her gratitude with a soft smile. She gave on final wave as the two men made their way to their white and blue patrol car before closing the door and heading back into the living room. There she saw her son and his… /…love./ She felt herself grin brightly at that as she watched Seiji whisper something softly into Touma's ear; the blue head nodded to what ever her son had said before they both turned to look at her in unison. She examined the two young men briefly before giving them both a reassuring smile. Kyoto was quite happy to note that Touma seemed to be much more at comfortable with her presence this afternoon though he was extremely quiet.
"Do you boys want something to eat?"
Seiji glanced at Touma before shaking his head.
"No thanks mom, I think we're going to go back to the guest house. It's a little quieter there." She understood her son's reasoning know that Touma would be more at ease there. "Ok, can I expect you at dinner?" Seiji again looked to Touma before answering. She wasn't sure what Seiji was reading from those inquisitive stares since Touma made no move to answer.
"No I don't think so. Dinner with the whole family might be a bit much. Plus I need to finish healing Touma's bruises. After that we'll both be wiped out."
"All right then. I'll have some food sent over."
"Thank mom," Seiji stood and gave her a warm tight hug before helping Touma to stand. His torso was healing fast due to the power of Tenku that flowed with in him, but even with that assistant the bruise ribs and sternum still hurt the boy.
"Thank you Mrs. Date."
"You are family Touma, and we'll do what ever is needed to the help you." She longer to hug the archer but knew better and instead graved him with one of the maternal smiles and was overjoyed when he managed to smile in return.
The two started toward the back door, when Seiji paused asking if she would tell his father that he'd be at practice in the morning.
She answered with a pleased look and told him she would. With that the two troopers left the house. Sighing she turned and headed for her sun room.
Now that that was over she could relax and her favorite room would be the prefect place to do so. Humming a light tune as she went Kyoto smiled at how well the police inquirer had went. Seiji and Touma had pulled off their story flawlessly and the officer had had no reason to doubt them. After all most people in this situation wouldn't spare any detail, they'd be eager to find the people who kidnapped and 'beat' their friend but most friends didn't have something to hide like these two. That brought back another troubling topic. The kidnappers and the person who organized it had seen Seiji in his sub-armor. What would they do with this footage? If luck was with them they wouldn't realized what was going on. /No need worrying about these things now./ She told herself fetching a bottle of water from the refrigerator in her sun room before sitting down to tend to her plants.

The silence in the small study was immense as Mokotu digested everything his older cousin had told him. She set back the glow from the laptop cast across her face, made her appear deathly pale, like a wraith of the night.
"I had no idea they were real." Mokotu muttered, staring at Yayoi his eyes wide with shock.
"No one except the immediate family is supposed to know."
"The government has been searching for them."
"Yes." She nodded eyeing him closely. It was an unnerving stare, more sinister then any of Seiji's.
"All hell would break loose if this video was released."
"Yes, but it won't, no one is to know about it. Do you understand, Mokotu?"
He hesitated he'd mind running through everything that could be before he answered. "Hai."
"Good then destroy it." Startled the teen looked up at his older cousin brown eyes meeting.
"But Yayio-"
"No buts!" Her voice took on a threatening edge as she glared at him. "This tape would not only destroy Seiji, but the entire Date and Sani family. Beside I don't want to destroy my little brother, I want to humiliate him."

The constant gurgling of glittering water felt upon Touma relaxing him as he and Seiji laid out by the pond they'd been there for a while counting time by the slowly darkening sky. Beside him the blonde slept face relaxed and smooth as he regained his strength. His love had healed him completely and then suggested that they go out and lounge by the pond, concealed by the flora around the man made pool. The koi seeing them so close to the water natural assumed that they were going to feed them and continually surfaced sucking at the pond's edge begging for food.
A cracking of shoes against rock caught the archer's attention. Gazing up through the iris and water lilies Touma could see Saya, her aunt and her other student making their way toward the main house probably for dinner.
"That late already?" Seiji questioned quietly.
"Yes you've been sleeping for a while. Do you feel better?"
The blonde stretched his muscle flexing under the light T-shirt he was wearing.
"Hai, much." He replied smiling faintly at Touma, before stretching his hand out to stroke the archer's face. Touma held himself as still as possible not wanting to hurt Seiji feeling by fletching away, but he knew it was only the gentle assurance from the armors that kept him still. "Are you hungry?"
"Not really, but I guess I should eat anyway." The blonde nodded most likely happy that he wasn't going to have to force Touma to eat. They stood making their way around the koi pond to the front door. As they unlocked it foot step from down the path alarmed them to another presence, Touma stiff instantly and Seiji ushered him inside while wait to see who was coming to both their surprise and delight it was the cook bringing them some dinner from the house.
Seiji thanked the woman and took the tray of steaming food inside Touma closing and locking the door behind them. They opted for dinner in Seiji's room where they wouldn't be bothered when the guests came back.
The two ate for the most part in silence. Touma questioned Seiji about his morning training, lighting the mood a bit until Seiji mention Torin's apology.
"It wasn't his fault, he didn't know."
"That what I told him."
"How was Ryo when you called?"
"Upset," Touma smiled a bit recalling Ryo, adamant responses and fiery comments. "I think it was Nasuti that kept him from fly back here."
"She's the only one that can cool the volatile temper of his."
"She's good for him." Touma agreed and nearly jumped out of his skin when Seiji slipped his hand over his. Pulling the archer's long, powerful hand to his mouth his lips grazing the tender skin on the backside before kissing the callused finger-tips.
"Just as you are good for me." Touma blushed both for jumping and at the words of unworthy praise Seiji was gratifying him with.
"Seiji, I…"
"I was so scare Touma, my only goal was to find you. I didn't want to lose you. I couldn't lose you." The blonde confessed gazing deeply into Touma's eyes his purple pools shimmering with emotion.
"I'm sor-"
"No, don't say that, you didn't do anything to be sorry for. You fought them; you were able to contact me even after they drugged you and even after all that you stopped me from making a terrible mistake."
Touma didn't know what to say to that so instead he moved toward the man he'd give everything for; the man who had been willing to sacrifice everything for him and buried his face in Seiji's chest. Tear free sobs muffled in Seiji shirt as the blonde held him whispering promise on love and protection into Touma hair their dinner growing cool as the days shadow faded.
************************************
"Seiji…?" Touma's sleepy voice called as the swordsman who slid the door his room closed, silently padding across the carpeted floor to his bed and love. Seiji affirmed his presence.
"Where did you go?" Touma asked slightly more alert. Seiji grinned at bedraggled man in his bed; dark T-shirt wrinkled as finger trying to rub the sleep from his eyes.
"I'll tell you in the morning ok?" Touma didn't protest though his sleepy blue eyes held questions. Sliding over Touma laid down watching Seiji as he undress to his boxers before slipping on a white T and climb into futon. The two trooper stared at each other for a few moment before the archer scooted closer pressing his face into Seiji chest much like he'd done earlier during dinner and soon he was fast asleep; his breathing evening out, warm stead puffs of air ghosting over Seiji's collar bone.
Sadly sleep was not going to come to the sword man so uneasily. He's return to the site of Touma's near rap had added too Seiji already worried mind.
The place had been completely cleaned out. The blood stains, examining table and the cameras were all gone, as if nothing had happened. He had went there in order to find clues, and to make sure that Touma's involvement would be removed.
/Whom ever did this is erased the entire event, making sure that we can't find them./ Fury burned within Seiji veins as his mind recalled the images of that day. Beside him Touma stirred and the blonde instantly curb his anger before turning to wrap his arms around the sleeping youth. Sighing to clear his head Seiji closed his eyes knowing that he didn't have much time left before he'd have to wake up and go to the dojo. Gradually the soft puff of Touma's breath and the gentle movements of his chest brought him to a dreamless sleep filled only with the constant warm of his love's spirit.

To be continued…
