Chapter 7

At the hospital, while Touma was being examined, Seiji was taken into waiting room. A multitude of questions invaded his mind. Why was the archer in Osaka ? How was he going to react to the blonde's presence ? Who was this girl who had accompanied him ?

The waiting appeared to be endless. A doctor finally gave him news. Touma suffered from a concussion, but nothing alarming. He had also been given some stitches. After the explanations, a nurse led Seiji to his friend's room.

When they arrived, the nurse told the blond that he was still unconscious, but that he would not take too long before he awoke. He took a chair and settled beside the bed.

A few hours had passed by and unfortunately, Touma was still unconscious. Seiji finally decided to get a cup of coffee because he started to doze off a little.

When he returned to the room, he found the girl, that he had seen a few moments before the accident, leaning above Touma. She was kissing him on his forehead while caressing his cheek. Seiji felt a kind of jealousy to spark instantly within him.

As she raised her head, the girl saw the blond. She asked if she could help him, but he remained quiet.

"Who is it, Lyne ?" Touma asked, even though he was looking in the direction of the swordsman.

With those words, the features of Seiji's face became tense and confused. He let go of his coffee, it dropping gracelessly to the floor, and left in the corridor. He rested against the wall and let himself slide to the ground.

"Lyne ? What's going on ? And who was it ?" Asked the archer.
"I need to do something. I'll come back at once."
"But Lyne -"
"Don't worry, I would not even think of staying away too long." She left the room quickly.

She found the blond sitting on the floor, the head between his hands. She moved towards him and then sat down beside him. "You are Seiji, aren't you ?"

Seiji looked at the red haired girl and nodded his head. "Do we know each other ?"

"No, but Touma has shown me a photograph of you two. I'm sorry, but I didn't recognize you immediately. He talks to me about you all the time. By the way, my name is Lyne." She had large green eyes, which resembled emeralds. They were almost like Shin's.
"Then why didn't he recognize me ?"
"He didn't forget you, don't worry. It's much more complicated than that and I would prefer it if it was him who explained it to you."

The swordsman lowered his eyes. "... ehm... Are you his..." He didn't succeed in finishing his sentence.
"You want to know if I am his girlfriend ?" Lyne started smiling. "I would have liked it, but no. He has somebody in his heart and I believe that nobody will be able to change his mind about that." She winked at the blond who started to blush. "You should go to see him now."
"Thank you Lyne," he got up and made for the room.

Seiji stood in front of the door, with his heart hat felt as if it could burst from his chest at any moment, it was beating so strong. He knocked and waited until Touma bid him to enter.

When the blond entered, the archer was in front of the window looking at outside. "It's you Lyne ?"
"Not, it's not Lyne."

Hearing this trembling voice, a voice that he could have recognized in a crowd of thousands, paralyzed Touma. He turned round, "Seiji ?"
