Chapter 6

6 months later...

Seiji sat meditating close to the tree where he had been found injured at Touma's hands the one day. Since he had left the hospital, he tried to communicate with the archer through the link, but apparently Touma had definitely severed it.

While he concentrated, he could feel his yoroi vibrating in his pocket, as for they were all joined together in the same destination.

He rushed to the manor, having the hope that perhaps the archer had returned. He abruptly entered in the kitchen, making the others troopers jump.

"Touma ???" He said while looking around him.

"RYO, SHU ! The breakfast is ready !" Shouted Shin.

With these words, the 2 samurais rushed down the staircases and then into the kitchen.

"Hi Shin ! Do you get the mail ?" Shu asked while wolfing down a crescent.
"You will end up choking yourself if you keep eating like that." Suiko held out two envelopes to him.
"Invoice, invoice. Pfff... Don't you have anything else for me ?"
"No. But on the other hand there is a letter and a small package that were sent to all of us."
"So, what are you waiting to open it ?" He said as he reached for another crescent.
"Seiji. He hasn't return from his seance of meditation yet."
"He can read it later." Shu snatched the letter from the hands of his friend.
"SHU !" Shin yelled while chasing him into the kitchen.

During this time, Ryo caught the small parcel which was put on the table and opened it. When he discovered the content, he abruptly stood up, knocking his chair over in his shock. Shin and Shu stopped and asked him what he had found.

"It is the Touma's yoroi," he lifted up the small sphere, which had suddenly started to shine, and showed it to the others.
"Shu, open the letter, I am almost sure that it comes from him as well."

The samurai of Kongo complied and opened the envelope. Just as he finished reading it to the others, the door opened to din.

"Touma ???" Asked Seiji.

Ryo understood what it had happened and came near the blond while holding the yoroi of Tenku out to him. "I am sorry..."

With a trembling hand, Seiji took the small sphere. "But why did he send this ?"
"He wrote a letter in which he asks that we look for his replacement. He says that he's no longer suited to fight if a new battle were to break out," Shin answered as he placed a hand on the blonde's shoulder.

"He didn't explain why ?"
"No, he didn't." Shu handed the letter over to him.

Without a word, Seiji hurried to his room to isolate himself.

A few hours later, Shin started worrying a little about Seiji, who had still not left his room. He decided to go to see if he were okay.

He knocked on the door, but all that he obtained from the blond was a, 'Let me rest, I want to be alone !' that was stifled by some sobs. Because of this, Shin entered.

He found the kendoka sitting on Touma's bed, his legs tucked underneath him. The warrior of water was able to get closer to him and sat down beside him. He wrapped his arms around Seiji to try to calm him, but he seemed inconsolable. "Shhh... Calm down Seiji..."

"Touma didn't write this letter..." Said the kendoka between two sobs.
"Why do you say that ?"
"It is not his writing..." Seiji showed him the letter that they had received that day and the one the archer had left before disappearing. "And if something has happened to him or something... Somebody perhaps harmed him... He could be injured or - "
"Stop ! Do not think of this kind of thing. You will only hurt yourself by wanting to seek answers that you will not find."
"I know, but I miss him so much... I should have listened to you and told him about my feelings for him. Everything could have been different if I had just told him." With the back of his sleeve, he wiped the tears that were rolling down his cheeks.
"If you helps to know I'm just as angry with myself." He felt Shin's turn as the brunette started to cry.
"You do not have to. I know that I yelled at you for it when I was at the hospital, but I was angry and in shock."

During a long moment, they continued talking to each other, until Seiji fell asleep in Shin's arms.

A few days later...

Seiji had gone to Osaka for a few days, in order to participate in a kendo tournament. Even if he did not have the right state of mind to compete, he forced himself a little into obliging to do it because of his grandfather.

Since he had a day free before the competition did start, he took advantage of it to shift his thoughts onto something else.

The blond was walking on a sidewalk and swept the street with his eyes of amethyst. His gaze became fixed on a boy with a cap who stood in the back in front of a crosswalk. He wore a green sweater that strangely resembled one that he'd had, but had disappeared. He was accompanied by a girl, who was holding his hand for him. She gave him a fast kiss on the cheek, before she left, running and disappearing around the corner of the street.

When the light changed to the green, the young man started to cross. At the time the swordsman saw a car driving a little too quickly and didn't give the impression of wanting to stop. Seiji rushed towards the boy who had apparently not noticed this vehicle.

"STOP !!!!" The kendoka shouted.

The man was about to turn round, when Seiji pounced on him. Seeing the scene, several people gathered together around the two bodies that were laid out on the ground. When the blond had regained a little of his senses again, he leaned over the boy.

"Oh my god !!!" Exclaimed Seiji when he discovered who the person that he had just saved was. "Tou-Touma..." He felt the tears building up within him. Tears of joy to have found his best friend, but also tears of concern at seeing that the archer was unconscious.

While running his hand in Touma's soft blue hair, Seiji realized that his friend's head was injured and that there was blood. "Call an ambulance, quickly !!!"
