Chapter 9

With these words, the four samurais put forth one final attempt and their spheres began shining even brighter.

Touma felt the blond's yoroi vibrating in his hand. He lowered his eyes and saw a small green glimmer escaping from him.

"Look it…It…It's working !" Exclaimed the archer with a trembling voice.

The illumination spread little by little, until wrapping around the blond's entire body.

The archer touched his best friend's face, but then he suddenly caught a sight of movement. "Seiji."
"You don't more need me anymore. I will leave you now." The outline of Kaos was about to disappear, when Touma exclaimed.
"Kaos !"
"Yes ?"
"Thank you."
"I barely did anything. It's thanks to the strength of your love for him and the friendship which you binds all that he was saved. Goodbye."
"Touma ! Seiji is waking up." Shin gasped.

The warrior of the air leaned above the blond, waiting.

Seiji gently opened his eyes and the first thing that he could see, was the bright smile of happiness and the tears of joy that ran down along Touma's cheeks.

Seiji's strength returned to him back day by day.

He had sat on the edge of his bed and looked through the window. He waited impatiently for Touma to arrive for his daily visit.

"Hello blondie." Touma greeted him as he entered in the room.
"Hi." Seiji wanted to get up to join him, but he fell down on the bed.
"Be careful, you haven't regained all of your strength yet."
"Don't worry. I'm feeling better and better, you know. But this place is staring to annoy me."
"Precisely, the doctors actually told me that you could leave in 2 days."
"Still 2 days. That already seems like an eternity to me... " The blond sighed.

Touma knelt in front of him and set a package down in the blond's lap.
"What is it ?" Seiji asked, taking it in his hands.
"Open and you will see well."

The blond unwrapped the package and found the box that he had made.
"But it is..."
"Yes. In any case, you hid it very well. Even with Shin, it took us more than one hour to find it. You should have seen the state of our room." He said while smiling.
"I wanted to make you a surprise for our anniversary. But I am glad that you found it, otherwise I would probably never would have been able to awaken."
"I'm sorry, I didn't get you anything for your birthday."
"Didn't get me anything ? You gave me the most beautiful gift of the world."
"How so ?"
"Don't look so surprised. The most beautiful gift that you could ever get me, was to be able to come back to be near you, near 'you'." He answered while placing his hands on the archer's cheeks.

"In this case then, you will not need to get something for my birthday either. Do not forget that you also saved my life." Touma clasped Seiji and kissed him tenderly.

"Touma ?"
"Hmmm ?"
"When I was unconscious, you came to see me every day, didn't you ?"
"Yes, why ?"
"I cannot really explain it, but I had this impression of feeling your presence. I remember something that you said to me."
"And what was that ?"
"That you loved me." Seiji cuddled into Touma's chest.
"But you knew that already." He said as he caressed his soft hair.
"Of course that I knew it, but I love to hear you say it."
"I love you..." the archer repeated several times, whispering it in the hollow of the blond's ear.
"Me too. I love you."

"Well, when you're finished telling each soft words and kissing, could we come in ?" Shu questioned as he pushed the door open. He entered the room, followed by Ryo and Nasutei.
"Where is Shin ?" Seiji asked as the door was shut.
"He's on his way. He's finishing up preparing your surprise." Ryo answered.

The blond raised an eyebrow with a somewhat intrigued air.

Nasutei moved towards the light switch and pressed the button turn off the light. Seiji's attention was attracted by a dim glimmer that came from the corridor.

"Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you..." the Troopers and Nasutei all sang in tune.

Shin stepped near Seiji with a large cake between his hands.

The warrior of the light had his eyes filled with tears.

Touma smiled and said to him: "Make a wish and blow."

"I don't need to make a wish. I have all what it is possible to have. Friends that I can count on. Somebody who loves me and I love just as much in return. Thank you to you all."
"Stop Blondie, or we all will start to cry." Shu said, rubbing his eyes.
"I believe that it's too late for that." Shin replied, tossing him a handkerchief.

Everyone started to laugh, happy to be finally joined together.
