Chapter 3

After having heard the cry of Seiji, everyone rushed into the room. Shin sat down beside the blond and placed his hands on his shoulders.

"Seiji, what's wrong ?" Asked Shin.
"Something happened to Touma, right ?" Said Seiji, staring at Shin.
"We don't really know. When we came back, we had lost contact with him because of the storm. But how do you know that something had happened to him ?" Asked Ryo.
"I felt him and I heard his cry for help. He looked terrified and I believe that he's hurt. We need to go and find him !" While speaking, Seiji trembled and tears ran along his cheeks.

Shin took him in his arms to try and calm him, but Seiji pushed him away and screamed.

"Why are you not looking for him ? Why are you still here doing nothing ? Why ?" He collapsed in Shin's arms, even though he also had tears in his eyes.
"You know that if we could do something, we would do it, but the storm is too violent," explained Shu.
"Anyway it's my fault, if I haven't insisted that he go, he would be with us."
"Don't say that, that could have happened to any of us," said Shin lulling Seiji.

Nasutei, who had left a few moments before, returned from there to announce to the troopers :
"I have just heard from the rescue team, they cannot do anything as long as the storm rages."
"Listen Seiji, as soon as the storm stops, I promise you that we will leave and find him, but for the moment we can only wait," said Ryo while trying to keep his cool.
"Okay. You can leave me, please, I would like to be alone," requested Seiji while wiping his eyes.
"Okay." They all left the room.

After leaving the room, they settled in silence in the living room to wait for the end of the storm. They were afraid for Touma. They tried to fight the need to sleep, but tiredness got the best of them.

In his room, Seiji got up and dressed with several layers of clothes. He didn't want, or rather could not, wait anymore. He needed to find Touma. He put on his back a bag containing an additional jacket, food, and water. He opened his door gently and looked outside. The others were all asleep.

He walked soundlessly in front of his friends and left the cottage. He found in front of him a snow scooter, which he straddled without reflecting. He started the scooter and swept into the night.

Shin was the first to be awaked by the noise of the engine. He got up and moved towards Seiji's room.

"I don't believe it. Ryo, Shu, Nasutei, wake up. Seiji left."
