A/N: This is the second installment of my fic with no name! I'm glad that people liked it.

Kathrine: But that one person actually flamed us!!! Please can I have them!!!!

JC: (Sighs) Yes we did give them a warning.

Kathrine: (Squeals like a five-year old.) YEAH!!!! ( Throws Flamer, Phuckmiunder, onto large table and slowly cuts off skin. The victim screams in pain, but the sadist only smiles even more. Slowly, she cuts the skin on the neck and then the arteries. Ten minutes later, Phuckmiunder's head falls to the floor.)

JC: Oh God I'm going to be sick. ( Runs to the bathroom.)

Kathrine: ( Laughs maniacally as she places the flamer's head on a spear and sets in next to a boiling cauldron. Next she throws the rest of the body in the cauldron along with a bat's liver, cow's stomachs, a few spices (including Sage), and then stirs for twenty minutes.) It's done!!!

( Fills three large bowls with the soup that now smells like charred badies and sets them around the speared head.) Oh mighty Goddess I give thee my first sacrifice of a Flamer. I know their will be more so I grant thee the first drink.

( Smoke fills room as Goddess enters. She smiles at Kathrine and lifts a large bowl of the soup to her lips. After drinking all the soup she laughs with evil.)

Goddess: You have done well my chosen one. I thank thee for your gift. I shall take the rest of you delicious morsel back to our world so that the others may know your offerings. I believe they will be pleased.

Kathrine: That is all I ask of my lady. I live to serve you and the other gods and goddesses.

Goddess: Please allow more of such dishes to come to us. We know you shall always keep Brother Deaths' gates open.

Kathrine: As you say my lady. (The goddess disappears in another cloud of rotted-skin-smelling smoke. The bowls of soup, cauldron, and speared head are gone too.) Well now I hope you enjoy the story. Shadow of Arashi thank you for liking this and Phuckmiunder, thank you for pleasing my goddess.

Disclaimer: Don't own Troopers.

~ 10 years later ~

Sage grew into a fine young man. He came to understand and except his new family and their differences. In Dais he found a father figure, as he was the eldest and most mature of the three. In Sekhmet he found an older brother, one who would watch out for him and still treat him as a child at times of fun and games.

" You would not believe Sekhmet was over two hundred years old when Sage is around," Dais had once exclaimed. " He acts more like a child then the boy!"

But Kale was a different story. Even at the age of twelve Kale didn't treat him as a child. He could see the wisdom the boy held behind his childish innocence. Kale was more of a friend and confidant to him than a father and was too easy going to be his elder. Kale in himself had grown to care for Sage more than anyone or anything in his life. Every time he stared into the lavender blue eyes he couldn't help but give in to whatever the blonde asked of him.

Sage was happy, even after finally coming to understand the deaths of his parents. He never ventured far from the safety of the forest outside of the large manor, never coming in contact with other people. He never felt he needed to because he had the animals to talk to, who taught him more than human life ever could. Yes, he was happy in deed and he never thought he needed to change it.

" What are you doing?" Sekhmet asked as he watched Kale charge at Sage, a sword in each one's hand.

" Kale's been training me on how to fight," Sage replied as he parried the blows with ease.

" I can see that," Sekhmet huffed. " But Dais is furious and breakfast was two hours ago."

" Really?" Kale stopped his attacks. " I guess we just lost track of time."

" You've been losing track of time ever since you started to train him when he was eleven," Sekhmet laughed. " He's just as good as you are and maybe better."

" I could never be better than Kale," Sage shook his head. " At least I know I'm better than you though."

" What?!" Sekhmet growled. Sage always had a way of getting him hot under the collar. " You could never beat me. You're still a child."

" My twentieth birthday is coming up in just six days," Sage replied. " I'm no longer just a child." Sekhmet hated to agree that the young ten year-old Kale had brought home was no longer the exuberant child he had first met. The boy was tall, reaching the height of six-foot-two easily, and his body was no longer the skinny frame he had possessed, but and slender yet muscular build that complemented him greatly. His sunlight hair was long now, braided down to the middle of his back, yet he retained the childish locks that covered his right eye. No one would have guessed that the boy still held so much innocence to the world and yet accepted everything that was thrown at him without complaints. Truly he was no longer just a boy.

" Maybe you're not," Sekhmet wrapped an arm around Sage's shoulders in a light embrace, "but you will always be the little brother of the group."

" We better get inside before Dais comes to cut off my head," Kale sighed. " You know how he blames me if you don't do something."

" You just better eat a good dinner," Sekhmet frowned at him. " We don't want you going crazy on us."

" Don't worry," Kale laughed. " I ate well enough last night to last me a while." Sage could only shake his head at the way his family talked of their 'meals'. He never had a problem with them drinking from humans. As don't animals kill other animals to survive? He believed that it was just part of life no matter how it seemed otherwise. He walked over to the rack and placed his sword back in its place before following the other two inside.

Just as he was about to walk in the door he felt a chill up and down his spine. A chill that he hadn't felt in so long. A chill that scared him. He's not here, he told himself. It's just my imagination.

" Sage are you okay?" Kale asked as he stared with worry and concern in his eyes.

" I'm fine," he lied. " Just thought I heard something."

" All right," Kale accepted as he left the hallway.

A boy sighed to himself as he kept pushing himself to move on. He couldn't allow his father to catch him at any cost. His legs were tired and he hadn't slept in days. He had finally escaped the torture he had lived through for almost fourteen years. He felt bad for leaving his family behind but he couldn't stop long enough to think about it. He would not let is father catch him and dragged him back. His legs cramped up and he fell to the ground.

He pulled himself into the foliage and tried to hide himself in the large bushes. If he stayed there and didn't do anything too obvious his father wouldn't be able to find him. He prayed to whatever Gods he had once believed in that he would remain undiscovered until that night when he could resume his running. Please for once let something good happen in my life, he prayed.

It was dark as Sage sat in the large armchair trying to read a new book Dais had brought home for him. He sighed distractedly as he marked his page and sat the book down on the table. He had tried to keep his mind off of the strange fear he had been feeling all day. Something or someone was coming. He let his eyes close for a moment and before he knew it he was asleep.

They had to keep running. HE was looking for them everywhere. The five boys turned the corner and found themselves in the yard inside the gate. " We have to hide!" the azure-haired one whispered. His was tall and yet brawny and muscular for his age.

" Cye take Ryo and Rowen, I'll hide Sage," the boy picked up the small blonde that was swaying slightly behind him.

" But I wanna go with Touma," the boy slurred. He felt so tired and could barely keep his eyes open. He looked at another boy with blue hair who seemed to be staring at him with a scared expression.

" Seiji you are in no position to be wanting anything," the tall brunette frowned. " You stay with Kento for now and well meet in the garden in half and hour."

" But…," the boy's thoughts began to swirl together and he couldn't keep one thing clear.

" He really drained you this time Sage," the blue-haired boy sighed. " Don't worry, we'll be all right." He gazed at the last boy, who had lock black hair, looking for agreement.

" We'll be fine, now get going before Father gets here," he warned. " He looked really mad."

The azure haired boy nodded as he turned and fled around the corner quickly. He found himself running to the stables and looking for a place to hide. He only saw the mounds of hay, the different stalls with horses, and a small cart with blankets and hay in the back. It was meant to harness a horse to the front, but hadn't been used in years.

He carried the blonde to the cart and laid him down, pulling all of the blankets on top of him. " Stay here Seiji," he told him. " I'll check on the others and come get you. Father can't sense you since you're so low on energy. If you try to stay still you should be fine."

" Don't go Kento," the blonde begged tiredly.

" I will be right back," he promised. " Just stay put." The boy left after covering the boy's head in hay. He knew it would be easier for him to breathe that way. The blonde stayed there when he knew the other boy was gone. He couldn't even keep his eyes open anymore as he drifted in unconsciousness…

Sage awoke to find himself covered in a cold sweat. His heart was racing and his breaths ragged. Something's wrong, he told himself.

" Sage?" a voice called from the door. Dais was staring at him with concern. " Are you all right?"

" I'm fine," Sage assured him. " Just a bad dream."

" Anything you want to talk about?"

" It was probably just something I ate," he shrugged it off.

" You know that what I cook won't cause nightmares!" Dais glared. " Now what really is it?"

Sage was about to give in when he felt the chill again. This time it was so cold he felt as if he were freezing from the inside out. He is here! Sage's mind froze in fear. He's so close and he's coming to get me!

Dais could see the fear in Sage's eyes as they looked far away, seeing something he couldn't. " What is it?" Dais asked as he placed a hand on Sage's shoulder.

Absently, Sage answered, " My father's coming for me."

" What?" Dais stared at him. " But your father's dead."

Sage jumped up from his seat and backed away from Dais. " No, no, no," he shook his head at Dais. " Just stay away. If he finds me with you he'll hurt you too."

" Sage what are you talking about?" Dais couldn't understand the fear the blonde was swimming in. " Please, talk to me." Sage turned around quickly and ran out of the room. Dais stared shocked for a moment until he heard the sound of the front door slamming.

" What was that?" Sekhmet appeared in the room.

" Something has Sage scared for his life," Dais rushed to the front hall. " He said his father was coming to get him."

" His father?" Sekhmet followed after him.

" Just call for Kale and I'll start after him," Dais gave Sekhmet a quick kiss on the lips. " Hopefully we'll find him before something happens." Sekhmet nodded and watched as his lover disappeared into the night.

The green-haired vampire closed his eyes and searched for his other brother. Kale, he called in his mind. We don't have time to wait, answer me!

What is it now? Kale asked.

Sage has run off, Sekhmet replied. He's scared and Dais has gone after him, but we need you to look too.

Why did he runaway?

Something has him scared senseless, Sekhmet explained. Just find him before something happens.

I will, Kale assured him as he cut off the link. He looked around at his surroundings on the road and sighed. " If something happens to him the world will have to pay a hell's ransom." With that he tried to sense the unusual glow that was Sage, but all he felt was fear. Sage was close by, but running like a scared rabbit. And yet he also felt the disturbing fear of another, as if the two were running from the same thing.

Then he felt something else, something much like death only with power and will at its disposal. It was close to where Sage and the other feeling were and gaining. This power left him worrying even more, Is this what has my blonde so scared?

*****

The boy kept running. He could feel his father's presence all around him. His hair stuck to his face and branches scratched at hi skin as he pushed past them in earnest. If he didn't hurry that he would be caught and taken back home. He couldn't even call that place home. It was a place of pain and hatred and destruction. He was nothing more than a tool in that destruction.

I have to keep running, he told himself. If I can get away long enough to gain my strength back up I might be able to find someone to help me to save the others. I can't stand against HIM on my own. He kept fell to the ground and tried to stand, but his ankle hurt too much.

Damn! He cursed to himself. I can't have this happening right now!

Sage ran through the woods away from his house. The feeling of danger was biting at his neck and he knew he had to run. I thought he had finally given up on me, he thought. I thought that I was finally free of him. He felt a strange pull in one direction, but it wasn't like the fear he also felt. The pull was that of an aura, a very strong familiar aura.

He didn't know what it was that was pulling him the direction of the aura but he turned from his original straight course. He'll find me easier by going straight anyway, Sage reasoned. He turned around a large group of trees and saw someone on the forest ground. He looked as if he had hurt himself for he couldn't stand up without falling.

Sage immediately had the urge to help the person and slowly walked over to him. For some reason he wasn't afraid of the person he was watching, but he was getting a familiar sense about them. The person realized they were being watched and quickly turned to face him with eyes wide with fear.

" Who are you?" he demanded to know.

" I just wanted to help you," Sage replied. " I wasn't going to hurt you." He realized that the boy looked to be about his age and had a familiar forelock in front of his eyes that touch the bridge of his nose.

" Just stay away from me," the other boy stated. His voice sounded so familiar with a strange foreign accent to it. It made him think of a small boy with blue hair and bright blue eyes.

" I didn't mean any harm," the blonde put up his hands. " It just looked liked you could use some help. You ankle could be twisted pretty bad."

" I'm fine," he replied. " You just better get out of here."

" Why?" Sage asked. He knew he needed to get away before HE found him, but he was strangely curious on why this boy was so afraid.

" That doesn't concern you, so leave!" the boy growled.

" I was only trying to help," Sage frowned. That's when he felt the cold on his back as if someone was breathing death into him. HE'S here! His mind froze in fear when he began to turn around. He didn't see that wide-eyes of the boy that were staring in the same direction.

In the center of the trees a few yard before them was a person wearing a long black coat and his face shadowed in darkness. But the two boys could still see the glowing red eyes beneath the hood. It is HIM! Sage wanted to run, but his legs wouldn't move. He could only stared at the person/creature in front of him.

" I told you, you could never get away from me," the voice was dark and seemed to echo deeply in the forest. " I see you have found a friend."

Sage couldn't say anything as he stared at the man. The fear of his features must have been evident for the man smiled. " You could never get away from me, Touma," he laughed. Touma? Sage stared at him with a confused look. But I'm not Touma… That was what he called…

" Leave him out of this!" the boy behind him shouted. " He doesn't know anything. He just showed up." Sage turned to the boy in confusion and tried to grasp what was being said. He doesn't realize who I am, he told himself. The clouds cleared and the moonlight emitted a bright light upon the two boys. Sage's eye widened at the boy as he could now see his bright blue hair clearly. Oh my Gods…

The boy seemed to be staring straight at him as well. Blue eyes digging into lavender/blues. The feeling of recognition sweeping over both of them at the same instant. The boy, Touma, seemed in even more shock than he was. He looked from the blonde to the man who just stared at them with almost confusion. His eyes turned back to Sage as he whispered, " But you're dead…"

" R-rowen," Sage whispered back.

The man watched all of this with a smile. He knew letting his blue-haired boy escape would lead him to his prize. He had just waited for the right time. The boys had always had a strange link and now he had finally found a use for it. Now it was time to reclaim them both.

" I'm so glad that you found him for me, Touma," the man stated. " Now that the reunion is over we can all return to our realm."

The blue-haired boy was letting go of his shock and turned it quickly into anger. " You knew all this time?" he couldn't stand this. " What is really going on Father?"

" Little Seiji merely got away for me for a while," he took a step forward. " I knew that by sending out one of you I could find him again. Now that that has worked we can leave."

He turned his red eyes to Sage and commanded, " You were wrong to runaway from me Seiji. You and that weakling excuse for a human, Anubis, shall pay."

" But Poppa is gone," Seiji backed up closer to the other boy. " He died ten years ago."

" Then at least I know I shall get no resistance," the man replied.

" Stay away from me!" the blonde yelled. " I won't go back!" Then he turned to the other boy and put out his hand. Still slightly confused, the boy took it and was helped to his feet. He leaned on Sage and the two back away from the man.

" Do you think you can run with him hurt like that?" the man asked. " You'll have to choose whether or not you'll leave him behind again."

" I didn't mean to…" Sage turned his head away. That's when a loud call shook through the trees.

" SAGE!! Sage, where are you?!" Kale…

" Now, who could this be?" the man asked. " Another friend to join the party?" Sage's eyes widened with fear as the red eyes glowed even brighter.
