Ronin Warriors Fan Fiction ❯ Untitled ❯ Chapter 2 ( Chapter 2 )
A/N: Hi! This is Kathrine! JC and me have finally got the 2nd chapter of our story done. I still hope that some kind soul will give it a name.
JC: This took a long time to write due to all of the other work Kathrine and I working on. I hope that it is okay.
Kathrine: JC wrote the fight scene because I wasn't allowed to kill anyone. I know she's not good at it so that's why it's so short and non-descriptive. Not like our usual work.
JC: Shut UP already! I know I'm bad at them, don't rub it in.
Kathrine: ^_^
JC: This is really just a filler chapter until the real juicy parts come in the next chapter.
Kathrine: I'm upset by the lack of Flames. I was hoping for more sacrifices.
JC: Just read the fic and try to enjoy it. (Kathrine frowns before leaving the room.)
Disclaimer: I won't repeat myself another time!
Warning: Dark themes, YAOI/Shounen Ai, AU. FLAMERS BETTER STAY AWAY OR ELSE KATHRINE WIL GET TO EXERT ALL OF HER PENT UP FRUSTRATION ON THEM!!!!!!

Kale could feel Sage's presence close by and ran as fast as he could. That's when he broke into a sparse group of trees and found Sage staring wide-eyed at a cloaked form. The blonde's attention quickly turned to him and fear was evident on in his features. What is happening here? he wondered as he saw the boy that Sage was bracing.
" Sage?" Kale didn't move another inch. " What's going on?" He could feel the powerful energies around him and the evilness of the dark figure.
" So you know my little Seiji?" the man smiled with his blood red eyes. " But I knew he had to have met someone to care for him if he survived this long."
" Who in the nine hells are you?" Kale asked. The dark power he felt coming from the man had no real direction, much like a fire that could soon take the forest and everything in it with no forethought.
" I am his father, of course," the man laughed.
" What?" Kale turned his gaze to Sage in confusion. " But I saw your father dead on the road."
" You must be talking about Anubis," the figure laughed. " That lowly human could never have given birth to a child such as my Seiji."
" Shut up Arago!" Sage growled. " Poppa was more of a man than you could ever be! You don't even look like the man you once were."
" Oh my little Seiji, how you haven't change," the man smirked. " Still trying to be strong, but you know that you can't stand against me. So let's just cut the dramatics a you and Touma come home."
By that time Kale had enough and quickly began to walk around the edge of the trees. " I don't know what the hell is your problem, but they're not going anywhere," Kale stood in front of the blonde and the blue-haired boy. His fangs began to grow as he licked his lips hungrily, " Now leave before I use you as a dessert!"
" So the vampire thinks he can scare me with his fangs?" Arago didn't seem fazed by this. " You have no idea who you wish to fight."
" Enlighten me," Kale growled.
" No!" Sage shouted. " Kale please don't! You don't know what he is!"
" Listen to Seiji, blood drinker, I have no time to waist with the likes of you," the red eyes grew darker and yet more bright, proving his irritation.
" Well you have to make time!" Kale replied. " He doesn't have to do anything that he doesn't want to. And if this boy is his friend I shall protect him as well."
" They are my sons, I can do with them what I want."
" You are not our father!" Sage shouted in anger. " You are nothing more than a manipulator of children, killer of innocents, and destroyer of souls!"
" My, you know how to flatter me!" Arago shook his head. " But that can come later, after we have returned to the other realm."
" Other realm?" Kale raised an eyebrow.
" Guess little Seiji didn't tell you," Arago replied. " He is not of this world. He was born in a realm that is nothing like this one. The people in your Tangi World know nothing of this."
" Tangi World?" Kale repeated. " You're just plain crazy." He turned to look at Sage with a confused expression. He hoped that the blonde would give him a sense of assurance that what he believed was right. His heart sunk to his stomach when Sage refused to look at him.
" He can't deny it for he knows it is true," Arago laughed. " He is as much from this world as your kind are."
" What?" Kale growled.
" Vampires were not from this world," Arago replied. " They merely were forced through the gate to come here. They had been banished from our world. Of course you aren't a true vampire so you do hold some ties to this world."
" How the…?" Kale didn't understand how this man could figure so much out about him.
" I can tell a bitten vampire from a real one," Arago stated. " How else would you have a scar?"
" Look demon! I don't know what bowel of hell you stepped out of, but I don't actually care at the moment," Kale pulled a long no-datchi from beneath his cloak. " You just better go back before I send you there!"
" No Kale!" Sage cried. " You don't know him! He'll kill you!"
" If you wish to die for your foolishness then so be it," Arago placed his hands together and pulled them apart as sparks of black energy swirled around them Within the enlarging gap formed a black-handled sword that had a three-pointed tip.
" Sorcery won't save you from me hell hound," Kale stated.
" Such a tongue on such a weak creature," Arago smirked beneath his hood. " Can you blade move with such fatality?"
" Even more," Kale replied. The Rowen pulled himself and Sage out of the way as Kale fought the demon head on. He used his sword to the best of his abilities striking Arago in the arm. His eyes widened, as the man seemed to fade away like the air.
Watching his friend fight against his once tormentor only brought back memories of Sage's childhood. Then memories of the others he had left behind came to him. The only other children he had ever known and how he came to meet them. How could I just have left all of you to him? he asked himself.
That's when he heard a loud yell of pain from the battlefield. Kale was kneeling against his sword, a stain of red across his stomach. " Kale!" Sage yelled as he rushed onto the field.
" Stay back my precious Seiji," Arago growled. " I would hate to have to hurt before taking you back."
" You won't harm a hair on his head!" Kale shouted as he dragged his sword through his opponent's arm.
Arago let out a shout of pain like the roar of a lion. " You blood-sucking rat! You shall pay dearly for this injury!" He dropped his sword and backed away. Placing the palms of his hands together he began to chant, " Amiku deyda refki tretamo areeta!" A large sphere of black energy left Arago's body and confronted Kale head on.
The energy collided with Kale and forced him back into a tree. He hit the standing timber with so much force that he broke the trunk and it fell against another behind it. Sage kneeled next to him and checked his wounds. He could already see the stomach wound beginning to heal itself, but Kale was completely unconscious.
" Would you wish me to kill him?" Arago asked. " It would just to simple to cut off his head right now."
" No!" Sage gasped. " Please don't hurt him anymore!"
" Then will you come with me?" he eyes glowed red once more.
" If Rowen goes free," Seiji stated. " You know I'm the one you want so let him go. He can't even tell anyone for they'll think him insane. Please, I'll go back , just let him go."
" You'd give in so easily for them?" he seemed disgusted and yet satisfied. " You and Shin were always the sentimental ones. But I shall grant it if you'll return to the Nether World."
" Fine," Sage agreed before turning back to Kale. " I'm sorry Kale. There's so much I wanted to be able to tell you and now I won't ever be able to go through with it. Just know that you are much more than just a brother to me, ai shiteru." He moved a hand affectionately over the vampire's cheek before standing.
" SAGE! KALE!" a voice yelled through the trees.
" Another friend?" Arago asked.
" He is no one," Sage stated in a cold voice.
" Sage don't do it!" Rowen yelled as he tried to stand on his injured leg, but to no avail.
" Shut up Touma!" Sage growled. His eyes were blank, as if his soul had just disappeared. Rowen couldn't bear to look into them.
" Then let us leave," Arago touched the blonde's arm and the two faded away in the shadows.
" Sage, NO!!" Rowen screamed out. He pushed himself away from the tree he was leaning on and began to hop over to the vampire that was slowly beginning to awake.
Pain was ringing in front of Kale's eyes and in the back of his head. He had heard Sage's words, but was too weak to respond to them. His body was suing all of its energy to heal the wound in his gut. He said he loved me, Kale slowly opened his eyes to see someone staring at him.
" Are ya okay?" the person asked. Kale's eyes focused enough for him to realize it was the blue-haired boy that had been leaning on Sage.
" Kale!" Dais materialized on the battlefield and stared at his brother and the other boy in shock. " What happened? Who are you?"
" I'm Rowen," the blue-haired boy replied. " I think your friend is going to be okay though because his wound healed itself." Dais stared at this seeming human with confusion. He acted as if it was no big deal that the person next to him could heal himself. He took a look at kale and could see the glazed look in his eyes.
" You need to feed," Dais walked over to him quickly. Then he looked at Rowen through slit eyes. " What are you doing here?"
" He's a friend of Sage's," Kale replied. Dais couldn't help, but noticed his fangs were growing longer. " You need to get him away from me." His breathing was becoming ragged with hunger.
" Kale?" Dais stepped towards him.
" NOW!" Kale growled in a deep husky voice. His eyes were glazed and red rimmed with white.
" Come boy," Dais touched the boy's shoulder. " It's best we leave now."
" I don't have to," Rowen replied. " I can help him." He moved the strap of his torn shirt and leaned his neck towards the vampire. " Drink from me."
" What?" Kale voice was hoarse. Luckily, he knew how to control his hunger 'til the last minute. But the sight of the pale skin covered slightly in dust and dirt was beginning to eat away at his inhibitions.
" You can't!" Dais shook his head. " He'll kill you or…"
" Believe me, he can't kill me by drinking my blood for my blood is what gives life," Rowen stated. " Besides he can't turn me into a vampire either. Now, please drink."
Kale need no further convincing as he quickly pulled the boy to him and sank his teeth in a soft, but firm throat. Rowen gasped as he clutched the other man's shoulders tightly, feeling a strange sensation rush over him. The burning of his veins and the pounding of the blood in his ears was completely erotic. He could feel energy leaving his body, but could also feel the life being restored to the one taking in his red essence.
Kale, in turn, could taste the sweetness of young man's blood as it lavished his taste buds and heightened his senses. He could hear the sound of every creature in the woods around them and even the breathing of Dais a few yards away. Then he felt the flush of fear from somewhere n the forest and who could even tell whom it was from, Sekhmet.
Suddenly a bright flash came in front of his eyes and he moved away from the soft throat to shield them. He covered his eyes, but the light was still in front of them blinding him, but causing no true pain. Then the light faded and was replaced with a picture.
It was the scene of a small boy chained to the ground by his wrists and ankles, the light glaring down at him. The boy's blonde hair was around his head like a halo and he didn't seem pained by the sun, even though his cheeks were streaks with wetness. " Why are you crying?" Kale asked.
The blonde stared at him with his fearful lavender blue eyes. Kale felt as if he knew the boy, but he looked to be no older than six. " I won't hurt you," he assured him. " I'm here to help you."
" But Father said that no ones allowed up here," the boy replied. " You'll get in trouble."
" Tell me why you're crying so I can help you," Kale asked again.
" Father won't let me stay with the others," the boy sniffled. " And my arms hurt from these chains. I want to go back to my room."
" Let me break you free," Kale offered.
" You want to set me free?" the blonde looked shocked.
" Yes just try not to move," he kneeled next to the boy and grasped the chain tightly. Pain was instant as he pulled back like his hands were burning. He looked at the chain but nothing was different. His hands, on the other hand, were scalding red. Then the stomping was heard close by.
" He's coming!" the blonde gasped with his fear evident.
" Let me free you," Kale reached for the chains again.
" No!" the young boy shook his head. " Just go please mister. He'll try to hurt you too. Just runaway!" Before kale could stop anything he was being pulled farther and father away from the boy and thrown back into the confines of his own mind…
" Kale!" Dais shook him. The blue-haired man shook violently before he lifted his eyes to his brother's gaze. " What happened?"
" He had a vision," Rowen explained. " They will go away in a few hours."
" Visions?" Dais questioned as Kale began to lose the fuzziness that clouded his thoughts.
" To taste the blood of an Elemental is to gain on of their abilities for a short while," Rowen clarified. " I am an Elemental."
" But they were just legends of the old days!" Dais gasped.
" Only legends because they no longer exist in this world," Rowen replied.
" Sage…" Kale murmured as he tried to stand. " We have to get to him." Dais let him lean on his shoulder.
" Where is Sage?" Dais asked with concern.
" Father took him home," Rowen answered.
" What does that mean?" Dais asked. He looked down at the boy, but he had lost consciousness as he leaned against the tree. Kale moved away from the white-haired man and scooped the boy into his arms. He was shocked at how light the boy was.
" Are you sure you're all right?" Dais asked.
" I feel better than I have in years," he admitted. " But there's something eating at the back of my mind."
" We have to get home," the other vampire replied. " Sekhmet will come looking for us if we don't."
" But how do I tell him about what happened to Sage?" Kale asked. " He's gone and I don't know where he went. The demon had said he was taking him to a different realm."
" What?" the man thought he was a little muddled. " I don't know. But it seems this boy does."
" Yes," Kale stared at him. " He will tell us." With that the two men disappeared with the slumbering boy in the blue-haired man's arms.
A/N: How was that? You'll get more on how Sage is taking this in the next chapter. I might even let yall see the other Troopers again. Hehehe, I control everything! ^_^
