In the past: Chapter 1 The meeting
One beautiful morning Inuyasha was in his backyard doing some sword practicing. His sister, Sango, came out to watch. Inuyasha had his father's eyes of an unusual amber and his sliver hair. Sango had her mother's eyes and black hair. They both inherited their size of their mother but Inuyasha got some height from his father. Inuyasha also got his figure from his father. Sango got her figure from her mother's grandmother. Inuyasha was practicing with his best friend and knight his name was Hojo. They loved to fight with their swords now and again.
"You are finally catching up with Hojo, Inuyasha," she proclaimed.
"Well dear sister ye know nothing about swords play, do ye now," replied.
She was about to tell her ever so know brother that she been taking lessons if the need arose.
"Maybe ye better keep thy's mouth shut before I cut it off," said Sango.
As they both eyed each other carefully.
"You look splendid today Sango, is that a new gown," questioned Hojo.
"Thank you, Hojo and yes it is new. For we are having guest tonight for dinner. They are a wealthy family and they have 3 children of their own. A daughter of 18, another which is 17 and a son as old as me, which would be 16," she said.
Inuyasha looked at Hojo who had the same idea.
"Senosuke, come out her please," requested Inuyasha.
Senosuke has always liked the princess Sango, but he knew she wouldn't be allowed to marry him since he was not of wealth.
"Coming m'lord, what is thy request?"
"Will you send for my friend Yusuke, and do hurry up! I want him here before dinner."
With that Senosuke left with a quick look at the princess and left fro the hill in the forest of Chill Fool Valley.
On the other side of the valley was the family who just moved in.
"Alyaanesia, do you know where my silk blackish-blue sliver gown is," asked her sister, Kagome.
These sisters get along very well. Kagome is walking in her chamber, trying to find her gown, in her undergarments. Then Alyaanesia walks in holding the gown. Kagome jumping up and down saw someone behind Alyaanesia. So she ran to cover herself.
"Who are you and what do you think you doing? Not you Alyanesia, the person behind you!"
Alyaanesia stepped aside and saw that it was a servant boy.
"Sorry, m'lady but the lady of the house said that they will be leaving when the sky has the sun at the highest peak. My name is Kuwabara," he said.
"Well next time Kuwabara, don't stand there looking at my sister in her nickers, understood," yelled Alyaanesia.
Kuwabara nodded and walked away from the scene as quick as possible.
"There you go Alyanesia your hair is beautiful set like this and the gown goes great with your eyes," proclaimed Kagome.
Then there was a knock on the door.
"Who is it?"
"It is I your faithful friend Naraku, may I come in?"
"Just a minute, Naraku"
Naraku has been Kagome's friend as long as she could remember.
"Come in my friend."
"It is time to go. Your mother sent me up here to get you. You both look beautiful as a flower in bloom. But I can't escort both of you so I will need a little bit of help."
No sooner did he say that but their best friend and men-at-arms come to aid.
"Hello Kurama. How are you," asked Alyaanesia.
"Fine m'lady, but we must hurry for thy wouldn't want to be late, would ye?"
They both shook their heads and headed for the coach.
" Are you coming Naraku," asked Kagome?
"Sorry no, I'm not. Your parents want someone here to watch the castle while you are away."
"Are you also staying behind Kurama," asked Alyanesia.
Kurama nodded and Alyaanesia already knew why. Alyaanesia already knew why.
"Well this is where we depart. You must tell us what ye did," said Kurama.
They nodded and the entrance of the door opened. Hiei offered his arm to Kagome and their father to his wife and younger daughter, Alyaanesia.
Meanwhile back at the model Castle, everyone was busy doing something. The servants were busy getting the castle decorated for their guests.
"Why do they insist on decorating for guest of only 5," asked Inuyasha.
"They are the QUEEN'S grandchildren! That is why dear brother," replied Sango in a mocking sense.
"Do they come for marriage," questioned Yusuke, surprising everyone?
"Hello, Yusuke! How are you doing down in the valley," asked Hojo?
"I'm doing well!"
Then he turns to Sango, he has been trying to court her for 2 yeas and she refused both 2 years. Her parents suggested her to be courted by Yusuke. There was something about him that Sango never liked.
"Hello m'lady and how art thee this fine midsummer's day," asked Yusuke, who was still persistent.
"Hello sir, and I'm fine," she replied "Would you please excuse me sir's, but I have work to do."
She curtsied they bowed and then she was gone.
"So, how is the valley down there," asked Inuyasha trying to talk about something that was other than women, cause he knew Yusuke would go on about them.
"It is fine and healthy. The Cattle and the rest of the life stock is doing great," said Yusuke still looking at Sango with a very interested eye.
Inuyasha slapped his friends' arm to bring him back to the conversation. The one thing Inuyasha hated was seeing the valley in horrible conditions. While Inuyasha was thinking of plans to improve the area Hojo and Yusuke talked about the tournament coming up. Inuyasha turned his attention on the conversation, hearing about the tournament made him excited knowing that there wasn't any competition in the valley. Then he shook his head and brought his mind back to the thought of his up coming guest.
"Well my friends, let's go get ready to meet our guests. Senosuke, send a message to the flower shop down in the valley that I want roses, Lilies, tulips and daisy's. Then go to the jewelry maker and buy 2 necklaces for our guests, no make that 3 and then go to the blacksmith and ask for the stylist sword there. Do you understand? Here is 220 pounds. If there is any left buy some wine."
With this in mind he dashed down to the town, he brought some help 2 servant girls for the flowers and 1 servant girl to carry the jewelry and men-at-arms to guard it and a servant boy to carry the 2 swords. When they returned to the castle it was beautiful. Their finest China at eh head table with a white table cloth, they set the roses and all other flowers around the room, and they had drapes on the window, but Senosuke thought Sango was the most beautiful girl in the world. She ignored what he has sent her and the notes he sent her. It was about an hour before they would arrive.
Back in the Carriage, where Kagome was thinking about her one true love she ever had.
"Kagome, what's the matter? You look sad," asked her mother, Kaoru!
"Just thinking about my first and only love," she replied!
"Darling sister, I know you loved him, but he simply didn't love you. He with a different women every night and they were no whores. They were ladies, who gave themselves to a man with charm, who was handsome, and who had Grace," said Hiei getting furious even with the thought of the man.
"SILENCE! Kagome, you need to get over him, is that understood," said her father, Kenshin, who eyed her until she nodded.
The rest of the journey was quiet. Kagome and her parents looked out the window at the scenery. It was gorgeous, there were flowers everywhere, willow trees by little lakes birds singing, and the other beautiful things. Kagome fell asleep and no sooner did she do that, where they there. Her mother nudged her awake.
" We are here, darling. Please wake up," her mother pleaded.
Kagome awoke not wanting to go in. For the only reason for this trip was to see if she would be courted by their son, or buy their knights. She tidied herself up. All of then where old enough to be courted.
"Mother, they are here! Mother they are here," yelled Sango.
"Okay, I heard you dear! Are you ready? Now, remember be respectful to them they are the Queens grand children," replied her mother, Megumi, while fixing her hair.
Senosuke knocked at the door.
"M'lady, thy's guests have arrived," said Senosuke.
"Thank you Senosuke, we are now coming down," replied Lady Megumi.
He bowed then left. They followed right after him.
"Aye and now the time to meet the guest," said Lord Sesshomaru.
They took their spots at the table with Sesshomaru in the middle, Lady Megumi on his left and his son and friends on his right and his precious daughter to his wife's left.
Then Kagome and her family entered the castle. Kagome was behind her parents with her sister, Alyaanesia, and her brother, Hiei, behind her. They entered the hall. Kagome and her siblings looked amazed at the hall.
Sesshomaru and his family stoop up and waited until they stopped just a couple paces away.
"Hello, I'm Sesshomaru, the man of the castle. This is my wife Lady Megumi, the woman of the castle. This is my son Inuyasha, my heir to the throne, and his 2 friends Yusuke, a guard at the village, and Hojo, a knight here at he castle. Of Course my lovely daughter, Lady Sango," introduced Sesshomaru.
They all bowed and curtsied back and said their hello's.
"Hello, I'm Kenshin, the man of the castle Arcadia. This is my wife Lady Kaoru, the lady of the castle. This is my son, Hiei, heir to my throne as well. My oldest daughter Kagome and my youngest daughter, Alyaanesia," introduced Kenshin.
They all bowed and curtsied and said their hello's.
"Please have a seat," asked Lady Megumi.
"Thank you, Lady Megumi," replied Lady Kaoru.
"This is a beautiful castle you have," said Alyaanesia.
"Thank you, we take pride in our home," replied Lord Sesshomaru.
They all nodded when Lord Sesshomaru said this.
"If you don't mind me asking, how long have you lived here," asked Kagome?
"We've lived here, well the family has had this place at least 2 generations to 3," replied Inuyasha.
"That is nice to keep a castle and village in a family for that period of time," replied Alyaanesia.
Then the servants brought out lunch. Yusuke had his eyes on Alyaanesia during the whole lunch period. Kagome notice this and lightly added a nudge to Alyaanesia and a quick nod back to Yusuke. While this was going on Sango and Hiei were also having their episode of looking at each other and quickly looked away.
Then lunch was over before anyone left the table Inuyasha got up.
"I have bought each of you gifts. Senosuke the gifts, please. Here are 3 gold heart shaped necklaces for the ladies and the best swords for the man," said Inuyasha.
They all said their thanks to Inuyasha and his family. `I wish I got a sword why is it always the boys who get the swords.'
"Why don't we try those swords out, shall we," suggested Sesshomaru.
All the men nodded to agree.
"We shall come out to watch you men, play your game," said Lady Megumi.
The women stood up first then the men did. Sesshomaru offered his arm to his wife, Kenshin offered his arm to Lady Kaoru, then Inuyasha offered his arm to Alyaanesia, Hojo offered his arm to Kagome, and Hiei offered his to Sango. Yusuke felt alone, because no one was on his arm. He really wanted to get Alyaanesia, but he carried the rear. The parents were having a fun time telling their life stories.
Then Inuyasha asked Alyaanesia how it felt to be the Queen's grandchildren. She replied that it had its ups and downs. Hiei asked Sango what she like to do in her spare time.
"Don't tell anyone, but I've been taking sword lessons with Hojo," whispered Sango.
"Not to bring your pride or anything down, but my sister, Kagome, is a knight for the Queen. We keep that on the low side of the conversations. That is what scares the men away," Hiei replied.
"That doesn't bring my pride down at hall," said Sango.
They talked about what else they did and about their lives.
"How is it here at the castle," asked Kagome.
"It is really friendly and warm environment here," replied Hojo, "May I ask how are you related to the Queen?
"Yes, my father si the queens 2 son, he married my mother, who is the Duke Kidney's daughter, so that makes us the Queen's grand children."
Then they reached the garden. The men moved the ladies to the benches in the shade.
"We will be but a minute, ma ladies'," said Sesshomaru.
The ladies nodded. Once the men were gone, Lady Megumi and Lady Kaoru were talking, Alyaanesia went walking and Sango walked up to Kagome and whispered something in her ear.
"I know your secret!"
With that Sango walked away knowing that Kagome would follow behind her.
"How did you find out my secret," asked Kagome with a hint in her eyes.
"Your brother told me that you can fight with a sword and that you are a DAME in the Queens Knights!"
"I'll kill him later, but what do you want from me so I know you'll keep your mouth close?"
"Just a simple sword fight in front of the men."
"Okay, on one condition we leave the helmets on so they don't know its us okay?"
Sango nodded and they went to find armor and some swords. Just as they came out, so did the men.
"Would you 2 knights like to join us in a fight," asked Inuyasha knowing that these were two new.
They both nodded. Inuyasha was overjoyed to see if they were any good.
"Are ye ready, m'ladies to watch fights," asked Sesshomaru?
The ladies nodded. All the women were excited about watching all except Kagome and Sango. The first round was Sesshomaru and Kenshin. Their fight was very intense with great technique. They were going at each other like they were natural enemies. They were so absorbed into the fight that they forgot that the women where around. `What is that look in Prince Kenshin eyes,' thought Sesshomaru to himself throwing one of his most powerful thrust. Right when Kenshin was about to throw his strongest trust Lady Kaoru said something.
"They are really going at it as if they were in a real battle!"
This brought the men back to the earth and they started just to play around. `My sweet Jesus, Lord Sesshomaru is excellent! I must inform mother' thought Kenshin to himself while dodging Lord Sesshomaru's attacks. Then both men were at a stand still. Both men bowed to each other and put their swords back in their resting-places.
The second round was Inuyasha and Hojo. Inuyasha didn't show any mercy to Hojo and Sango could tell that Hojo wasn't either and she all his moments before he did them. Hojo showed her all his moves and how to predict which move to use. Hojo didn't take his eyes off Inuyasha's lower half as well as his sword. The fight went quick and intense. `They are pretty good! Any of them would be good with Kagome,' thought Hiei to himself. He was injured from a practice session with his grandmother's top soldier.
The fight ended with Inuyasha being the victor. He helped Hojo up from the ground where his perry knocked Hojo down.
"I guess I better get practicing! If I plan to beat you this coming tournament," stated Hojo getting the dust off him.
"You wish you could beat me! Kuh…you don't stand a chance Hojo," retorted Inuyasha with a smirk on his face.
`Just watch this! I will show him,' thought Kagome and Sango at the same time.
The final fight was Kagome and Sango, but to everyone else 2 unknown knights. They walked to the fighting area and with no delay they started to fight. They were so captivating that everyone's eyes went wide with amazement. Both "knights" had great techniques, fast movements, precision was great, and in all the fight was fierce. At the end they had each other's throats. They turned bowed they left as soon after before asked to remove their helmets. They got changed very fast and was back before the men went to change.
"Hello father, I heard there was some intense fighting going on out here," said Kagome holding her laughter and smile back with all her might.
"How did you know that when you weren't out here," asked her father, suspiciously looking at his daughter who was acting innocent.
"We pass these 2 knights, sir, and told us everything," said Sango backing up Kagome who now pulled out her fan to cover her laughter!
"You wouldn't have caught their names because they are excellent fighters," said Sesshomaru with a twinge of excitement and amazement in his voice.
Both girls shook their heads.
" Well `tis time for us to return to our castle," said Kenshin.
They all nodded. When the father was dress they left in their carriage. Everyone was tried so the ride was quite quiet on the way back.
When they arrived at their castle the girls could hardly walk. So they called for Kurama and Naraku to carry the girls upstairs.
"How was the dinner, Kagome," asked Naraku with suspicion.
"It was nice. The lord's son gave me this necklace and I fought with Sango their daughter in swords. We caught each other by the throat. She is pretty good," replied Kagome trying to keep her eyes open.
"I see the necklace it's beautiful and thank goodness your parents didn't find out it was you!"
"So, Alyaanesia, what did you do at dinner?"
"Well Kurama, after dinner we were escorted to the garden to watch the men fight and I looked at the garden. It was beautiful"
Then they put the girls on their beds, were the maids were waiting for them. T hey undressed them and put them to bed. Then after the maids left, Kuwabara came in the room and put white lilies and blood red roses by Kagome's bed with a card. He had eyes for Kagome ever since he came to them from the Earl of Yorkshires palace. She was 11 years old and he was 11 years old as well. He snuck out and went to his room. Kagome for some strange odd reason was dreaming about Hojo.
