By now Kaoru was pissed, she new somebody was following her. And she knew it was more than one person. She stopped and inhaled her cigarette. She turned only to move her eyes across the road she had been walking down for about 15 minutes. She let her dark blue eyes scan the road only to see nobody. She turned around and continued to walk.

" Damn, she almost saw us." Sano slammed his hand on the tree. " Sano you don't have to worry, she's going home." " How do you know?"

" This is the path to the Kamiyah Dojo." Saitou just nodded. " Battousia I trust your instincts, I'll see you tomorrow." On the road Saitou made a left, for the fact that was the way to the Police Station.

"Lets go Sano."

When Kaoru arrived at the Dojo she threw her cigarette on the ground and put it out by thrusting it into the dirt with the sole of her boot. Sliding the Dojo door open she saw Yahiko against the wall sleeping with bags of junk food next to him. She grabbed a blanket from the laundry room and laid it on Yahiko's sleeping form. It didn't take her long before she realized that Sano and Kenshin weren't there, because she knew Kenshin wouldn't allow Yahiko to eat so much junk. Kaoru covered her mouth as a yawn escaped her ruby red lips.

Not long after Kaoru came home Kenshin and Sano also arrived. Sano saw Yahiko asleep against the wall with a blanket on him. " Well at least she cared enough to put a blanket over him." Kenshin's eyes were bursting with anger and sadness. " Of course she still cares Sano. Just because she's a suspect doesn't mean she's guilty. And if she is guilty I think she will still care, especially for Yahiko. They may fight a lot but you can tell she loves him. She's like a mother to Yahiko, and it wouldn't be the greatest thing in the world if she were guilty. But you can tell that she would never abandon him, if with us I know for a fact that she will never leave him." It was silent both men deep in their thoughts. Kenshin sensed Kaoru coming closer. " Sano she's coming, pretend like you know nothing." Not shortly after that Kaoru came from her room wearing a tan nightgown covered by her peach robe.

" Where have you guys been? How could you leave him here alone like that? The kid's only 10, was some part of your brain not registering?" Kenshin was in complete shock; her attitude was completely different from what he thought it would be after seeing her at the Iowa Building. "Sorry Miss Kaoru, Sessha was not thinking." Kaoru let a chuckle escape her lips. "Uh, yeah. If you can please carry him back into his room, and make sure you cover him with his blanket for he doesn't catch a cold." Sano thought for a moment. `Kenshin was completely right she does care for him, more than she usually shows. Sano smiled to himself. Protective mother.' " Of course Miss Kaoru, goodnight." Kaoru waved her hand. " Goodnight you two." Kenshin waited till he was sure Kaoru was in her room to say anything. We will talk to her about it tomorrow."
