Its early morning at the kamiya dojo and kenshin sits at the table deep in thought while watching Kaoru fix rice balls.

"Kenshin…" kaoru said with a bit of worry in her eyes.

Kenshin looks up slowly and smiles.

"Whats wrong, is it your sister?" she say calmly.

"Yes Miss Kaoru, I wish I knew a way to help her.

At that time kenshin hears a thump on the door and his face changes from his sweet exterior to an alert one.

"What is it kenshin?" kaoru says listening as well.

Kenshin gets up silently and heads to the door. Kaoru, Yahiko, and Sanosuke follow. As kenshin opens the door in it a throwing star was stuck in the wood with a piece of paper tied to it. He opens it slowly and starts to read:

Hello Himura,

I challenge you to our final battle! We will meet outside of town in an hour. Bring all the people you like, none of them will get harmed. But I can assure you that there will not be any battle canceling after we begin. I have my sources to guarantee that!

Saito Hajime of the Shinsengumi

"Kenshin you're not going are you?" Kaoru asked worried.

"Yes," kenshin said still focusing of the letter "I have to…"

Kenshin arrives and finds Saito with his sister standing there beside him. Kenshin walks into battle area and waits while Kaoru, Yahiko, and sano stand impatiently. The battle starts and a few cuts and bruises are placed on the men. They start to holler.

"You will die battousai for destroying the Shinsengumi and the previous era!" saito hollered.

" I did destroy the Shinsengumi but only because they stood for the era that brought pain and suffering to the innocent people who deserved good lives"

Katsue, shocked, hesitantly raises her hand and places it on the handle of her sword.

My brother fights for this time of peace and his family, (glances over to kaoru and the others who are still watching saito and kenshin, Katsue looks back to fight and listens to the battle cries while finishing her thought) maybe the Shinsengumi is not needed in this era…

Snapping back into reality katsue takes a battoujuttsu stance

"Enough! Hiten Mitsurugi Style: Sou-Ryu-Sen!" She hollers.

Using god-like speed katsue runs in-between the two fighters, slashing saito in the gut with a reverse blade and spinning, allowing her to hit kenshin with her sheath at equal power, knocking him to the ground.

My sister stopped us…why…where did she learn Hiten Mitsurugi?

Katsue cringed, seeing the glare saito cast her way. His gut was bruised badly but not cut thanks to the reverse blade sword. Katsue let out a sigh of relief when she noticed she had drawn the right sword. She congratulated herself for not drawing the samurai sword until she realized what she had done.

When she left the Shinsengumi after being struck by her brother she by chance found Hiko Seijuro the 13th. She still remembers that when she appeared on his door step at the age of 11. Hiko had called her Kenshin, laughed at her, and told her he new she couldn't last one year of fighting. It wasn't until he seen her, "piercing blue eyes" as he called them, that he seen he was mistaken. That was when all her questions were answered about her brother Hiko had trained him. This made Hiko reluctant to train the little boys sister. But she showed him quickly how much potential she had, he had the bruises to prove it. After he realized she wasn't going to leave until he did teach her he tolerably agreed, and to his bewildered surprise it took her 2 years to learn the entire budo (It had took her brother 6 years and he still hadn't learned the final technique then). She then wandered the next ten years protecting people in Kyoto and then returned to Saito in Tokyo. And now she had revealed her reverse blade sword and her new budo style, the style of Saito's enemy… she was in deep trouble with him.

Back in reality once again saito sheathed his sword.

"This battle is postponed!" he told Kenshin, who had set up and was staring a katsue.

Saito took Katsue arm and dragged her away. The strike kenshin had received in the gut had took its tool like it was him on the other side of the blade; he couldn't get up to help katsue.

Saito threw Katsue against the wall in the police station.

"The battousai's master taught you his style didn't he, you learned Hiten Mitsurugi behind my back, what else did you do while you were gone!"

He hollered.

"I have done nothing else but get a reverse blade!" She stammered
