[the story so far is that Yoko was captured and Riyu is saving her, I will hope to rewwrite the beggining of the whole story from the first intros. Please review and tell me how you think the ending was]

Yoko's POV

Why? Why is this happening to us?

"Ah, so I've caught you off guard. You're loosing your touch hitokiri. If you were in your past form you would have expected this." The man said.

Riyu watched the man from the bars. Not moving, not blinking, just observing. Then finally he spoke, "If you expected me to be in my old form you wouldn't be alone yet alive right now."

The man smiled, "Yes I agree. I was just savoring the glory, but then again, maybe I wanted to meet the legendary hitokiri face to face."

I strained against the ropes that bound me to the tree, they cut my hands sending out a whimper from me. I can't let Riyu turn back into what he has been, the one who killed our family. "Riyu!"

Riyu's eyes shifted to look in my direction. His eyes shifted to a deeper shade of death red. He was angered by my state, "Release her!"

"Now, now hitokiri. I don't think you are in any position to be making demands." the man said smirking.

"Release her and I'll spare your life."

The man chuckled, "I think you need a reminder as to who is in control here."

He walked over to me, "She is so fragile. It's surprising that you of all people would be with a woman like her." He ran his hand across my cheek, and I tried to bite his hand. "Or is she more like you than I thought." Suddenly he flipped me over so the front of my body was pressed against the tree now. I felt his hands travel down my back. I whimpered and scowled. "It would be a shame if she wasn't so innocent." he said.

"Don't touch her." Riyu spoke up. I turned my face to look at him. He was shaking with rage.

Riyu's POV

How dare he even think he can touch her. I will make him pay, only I'm allowed to touch her. I will make him beg for death. No, that's not what I'm about. I wont become the hitokiri once again. Why am I thinking these thoughts again. I have to stay in control. If I turm back I will kill Yoko. "Don't make me repeat myself."

Yoko's POV

His eyes dimmed for a moment as if they were going to change back, but they stayed red. The man didn't notice this for he had decided he wanted to piss Riyu off some more by exploring my body. I pressed myself against the tree in an attempt to distance myself from his filthy hands, but I whimpered at his cold touch.

"I said don't touch her!" Then Riyu was gone. He vanished from the wires, or so it looked. In actuality he moved to fast for the eye to see, but then the frame of the trap collapsed. My eyes widened in surprise as did the man's.

"How did you?!" The man slipped has hands away from my body, and I relaxed a fraction more.

"Your wires were made in a hurry, and not carefully. I just had to apply the right amount of pressure at the right speed and it snapped."

"I underestimated you again. Well, I will not make the mistake for a third time."

"No, you wont have a chance." In a flash Riyu drew his sword, and attacked. The man was expecting this though, and he moved at just the right moment, but Riyu didn't stop. He countered off the floor and attacked for a second time, this time connecting with the mans left side.

The man stumbled back in pain, blood spilled out of the wound and stained his gi and hakama. "You managed to cut me. I thought you only used a sakabatou."

"That's right, but the dull blade can be flipped." The mans blood formed droplets on Riyu's sword and slid from the tip.

"You took a vow never to use a blade again especially with the consequences." The man was shocked.

"Vows can be broken." Riyu's face was unreadable.

No Riyu, Riyu. Don't leave me. Where is the man I fell in love with? This can't be your fate. We have to be together. Don't abandon me now. Don't kill again, Riyu... That life is not your fate. Don't leave me alone anymore.
