Two figures stood out on a fire escape outside Serena's apartment window. The two figures watched as Trunks walked out of the room, one of the figure's looking at the man with hatred. Once Trunks had exited the room, the duo waited. A few moments later, Trunks walked out of the apartment building, climbing into his car and drove off.

The two figures watched him leave, and then opened the window, stepping inside. The one who glared at Trunks, immediately rushed over towards the bed where Serena laid. The figure was female, with short sandy blonde unruly hair, and green eyes. She bent down on her knees, a cold pale hand touching the fevered face of the woman.

"So this is her Amara?" asked the other figure, who as well was female with sea green hair and matching sea green eyes. She came up behind Amara who was kneeling on the floor.

"Yes it's her Michelle,"

Michelle nodded, taking in the woman's features, "She's quite pretty,"

Amara turned to Michelle, who was behind her, "That's an understatement, she's gorgeous--and mine," She turned back to the woman she was still touching, running her hand down the woman's face, pushing the woman's hair from her neck to reveal the two puncture bite marks, "I've marked her,"

Michelle took a step forward, eyeing the marks, "I see that you have," Kneeling down next to Amara, running a hand over the sweat soaked forehead of Serena.

"She needs food…she's so weak right now, with her body changing and all. She's getting sick and is starving, She's worse then I expected"

"I know, she's burning up,"

Amara drew her hand back from the woman's neck, pushing back her sleeve, revealing pale white skin. She brought the arm towards her mouth, clamping her mouth around it, teeth piercing the skin, blood immediately sprouted to the surface from the punctured wound.

She removed her arm from her mouth, bringing it towards Serena's a gaped one. The blood-covered wrist was placed inside the Serena's mouth, causing small fangs to appear within it. A drop of blood landed on Serena's tongue, and she clamped her teeth down around Amara's arm, instinctively beginning to suck and drink the blood hungrily.

One of Serena's trembling hands grabbed onto Amara's arm, drawing the arm closer into her mouth. Amara climbed onto the bed, trying to get into a more comfortable position, pulling Serena into her arms, holding her. Serena's eyes slowly fluttered open, vision blurry.

Suddenly her eyes snapped open as wide as saucers, a loud piercing scream emitting from her mouth when she looked up to see someone, who was not Trunks, holding her. Amara, who was resting on the bed, threw her hands to her ears, eyes squeezing shut tightly. Michelle jumped back startled, hands going to her ears as well.

Serena pushed this unknown person away from her, causing Amara to roll off the bed and collide to the floor with a loud 'thud'. Serena crawled out of her bed and unsteadily stepped onto the floor, feeling very weak. She clutched a hand to her head swaying a bit. She grabbed onto the bedpost to steady herself and slowly began to walk towards her closed bedroom door.

Amara slowly sat up, her eyes wide, holding her hurting ears. She looked at Serena and stood to her feet. She wrapped her arm around Serena's waist, causing Serena to start screaming again. Amara quickly put a hand around Serena's mouth and looked at Michelle urgently.

"Michelle, help me!" exclaimed Amara, trying to keep a tight hold on the girl. On any other occasion, she would have been able to handle such a small girl, but she did loose some blood and this small girl was forming strength of that of a vampire.

Michelle quickly rushed over, but was thrown into a wall by a swift kick from Serena's foot to the face. Michelle banged her head against the wall, sliding down to the floor and holding her bloody nose in surprise. Amara let out a surprised yelp when Serena bit down on her hand, causing her to push Serena away from her.

Serena was thrown to the floor and slide across it. She dragged herself to a nearby wall and stared at the two figures with fear. Amara looked at her hand that was bleeding lightly and glared at the one on the floor, huddled frightened against a wall.

She growled and made her way towards Serena and grabbed the girl by her shoulders and pushed her against the wall. Her fangs were protruding from her mouth and her eyes were burning with anger. Serena shuttered, a familiar fear rising through her. She winced; feeling Amara's nails digging into her shoulders.

"Please let me go," whimpered Serena, tears forming in her eyes. Amara loosened her grip, and wiped the tears that fell from her eyes. Michelle came up behind Amara, placing a hand on her shoulder.

"That girl got some kick," mumbled Michelle, eyeing the frightened girl.

Serena looked over the two women, noticing the fangs in their mouths. "What the hell are you?"

Amara quirked an eyebrow, a small grin creeping across her lips, "Why, we're vampires my dear,"

Serena's eyes widened, not from the part of them being vampires, but the recognition of Amara's voice. "You're the one from last night, the one that followed me,"

"Bingo," replied Amara, grinning. Serena suddenly stomped down on Amara's foot, the vampire once again loosing her grip on her. Amara howled, grabbing onto her foot.

"Get the hell away from me! Leave me alone!" shouted Serena, taking off for the door once again. Michelle blocked the door from the blond headed woman. Serena took a swing at her, but Michelle grabbed her hand, closing her hand around it tightly, making Serena scream in pain.

Amara grabbed Serena by the arm, as Michelle let go of her, and flung the young woman onto the bed behind them. Serena hit the bed hard and grunted, as Amara jumped on the bed and climbed on top of her, straddling the woman's waist, holding the girl's swinging arms, down with one hand.

"Stop it!" shouted Amara, holding down the kicking and screaming girl. When she didn't calm down, Amara tightened her hold on Serena's wrists, causing her to cry out in pain. Serena tried her hardest to get out of Amara's hold, but in the end it only caused her more pain. She finally stopped her struggling, tears coursing down her very flushed face.

Amara raised her head when she heard banging from the front door. She looked to Michelle and cursed under her breath. She looked to Serena, holding a slight look of panic. She pulled Serena up gently by the shoulders.

"You're going to have to do something for me," said Amara.

Serena glared at her, "Why should I?"

Amara's eyes went dark, "Because I'll kill you,"

Serena went quiet, swallowing down the lump that formed in her throat. Amara pulled her off of the bed and dragged her towards the front door.

"You better not tell this person we're here, you got that?" growled Amara.

Serena nodded and cracked open the door to see an old man in a white wife beater and old gray sweat pants. It was her landlord Pete Johnson.

"Hey Mr. Johnson," said Serena with a small smile.

Pete looked at his favorite tenant, noticing the puffy red eyes and the paleness to the skin. "I heard some banging and some screams…is everything all right?"

Serena hesitated to speak and winced when Amara pinched her side rather hard, "There's nothing wrong Mr. Johnson…um, I saw a mouse,"

Pete smiled, "Ah ok, do you want me to come in and check--,"

"NO!" exclaimed Serena. Pete took a startled step back, blinking in confusion and that of surprise.

Serena sighed, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to shout. I got the mouse already. Now if you would excuse me, I'm not feeling well right now and need my rest. Good night," With that, she shut the door. Pete stared at the door momentarily and scratched his bald-head. He shrugged his shoulders and headed off back to his room.

Serena let out a shaky breath when she felt Amara wrap her arms around her waist, feeling her body getting closer to the vampire's. She felt the vampire breathe down her neck, causing her to shiver slightly. Amara brought her lips next to Serena's left ear.

"Good job,"

Serena then leaned back into Amara, feeling very tired, and the feeling of sickness overwhelming her. Amara picked her up and brought her over towards the couch. She sat down and pulled Serena on top of her. Serena, who lay on her stomach, moved her face to the crook of Amara's shoulder. Her lips rested on Amara's neck and she could feel the blood flowing through her veins.

She turned away when she felt herself ready to sink her teeth into the vampire's neck. She moaned slightly, "What is wrong with me?"

Michelle walked in, taking a seat on another couch across from them, "You're turning into one of us,"

"And you're getting sick. You need food," said Amara.

"Why does everything always have to happen to me," mumbled Serena, then she shifted a bit, "I tried to eat and drink. I only threw it back up,"

Michelle smiled, "You can't eat normal food anymore,"

Serena sat up slightly and eyed Michelle oddly, "Don't tell me I have to drink…blood!"

She saw Amara and Michelle look at each other, and then turned to look back at her. She shook her head from side to side, eyes wide, "No. I'm not going to drink blood," She pushed herself off of Amara and stood to her feet unsteadily, "I will not kill people…innocent people!" she exclaimed.

Amara took a hold of the unsteady woman and pulled her back down on top of her, "Who said the people had to be innocent? Besides, what makes you think we only drink blood from humans?"

Serena lay against Amara completely stupefied. She never thought of vampires drinking blood other than humans…and the thought of vampires existing, and that she was turning into one as well--it was all just too much.

"So…am I really turning into a vampire?" asked Serena, for all of this didn't seem to be clicking quite yet.

"Yes, and a very hungry vampire," replied Michelle. Amara took her wrist that was still bleeding and put it in front of Serena's mouth. Serena wanted to turn her away, to scream, anything…but none of that happened. She moved forward quickly, taking the bleeding wrist into her mouth. Amara and Michelle were deeply surprised by how quickly she succumbed to the blood.

All was quiet, except for the slurping Serena made while she drank down the blood. Amara stoked Serena's hair tenderly, while Michelle watched the two. She frowned when she caught a glimpse of Serena's hand. She eyed the large diamond ring on her finger, as reality hit her; Serena was engaged. This may be a problem. She looked towards Amara and noticed the serene look on her face, something she hasn't seen since…

She shook her head, no need to bring up painful memories. The past was there past and there was no bringing it back. Her ears twitched when she heard a car door slamming. She stood up quickly, turning to Amara.

"We have to leave,"

"Why?" whined Amara, wanting to hold Serena longer.

Michelle growled, becoming annoyed, "I hear someone coming, he could be back. We have to leave now!"

Amara sighed, reluctantly pulling her arm from Serena's mouth. Serena whimpered, grabbing onto Amara's hand as she stood up.

"Where are you going?"

Amara stopped and turned toward her, "We have to go,"

"But why? I have so many questions to ask…I don't even know your name!" she exclaimed.

Amara bent down and gave Serena a lingering kiss on the lips, then licked off the blood that trailed down the side of Serena's mouth. "I'll see you again… and my name is Amara,"

With that, she turned and retreated back to the window that was in the bedroom. She jumped out after Michelle and ran off in the street into the night. Serena sat on the couch with a dazed look in her eyes. She held a hand to her lips, the sensation of Amara's lips still on her own. A small smile crept her face, she had never kissed a vampire before, none-the-less a woman…and, she liked it.
