Sailor Moon Fan Fiction / Fan Fiction ❯ Legend of Zelda- Serenity's Wish ❯ The Prologue ( Prologue )

[ P - Pre-Teen ]

Time Unknown

"I feel...weak..." The girl said, collapsing to her knees. Her friend kneeled at her side, and looked into her eyes.

"You'll be fine..." She whispered. The symbol on her forehead shone brightly. The first girl wearily smiled, happy to see her friend for the last time.

"You...always said...had the universe been created differently...had I not taken Chaos back before time began to destroy him...we'd never be at war..." She whispered. The second girl looked confused. Yes she had said that. No she didn't mean it.

"What are you getting at?" She asked. The first girl stood on shakey legs, letting her long white hair blow behind her.

"I will not take Chaos into the past. I will destroy him here." She said. The second girl's elven ears shot up, as she looked to her companion, horrified.

"You are insane Serenity!" She cried. Serenity smiled again.

"You are insane! The power given off CREATED the universe from nothing! The power can REDUCE the universe to nothing!" She cried again. Serenity raised her staff and brought it down, ripping a hole in the fabric of time. A road to the Fourth Demension. The road of Time.

"You will create the universe. Guide it...so there will not be a need for me..." She said. The elven girl had tears in her crystaline eyes.

"But..if you don't take Chaos back, you'll never be born...and I'll never meet you...and..." She sobbed. Serenity hugged her.

"I'll always be with you..." She said. Suddenly she threw her companion into the rip in time, sealing it.

"NO!" She screeched, as she heard a horrid explosion. The force knocked her out...

Before Time began...

"Where am I...?" She asked. Or did she think it? She heard no sound. She didn't even know if she could move anymore. She didn't try. And so she stayed there, floating for what seemed like eternity, lost in her own thoughts. Had she dreamt the battle against Chaos? She didn't know if she had or not. Her body ached all over. Perhaps she was dead. No, she was very much alive. If she had been dead she wouldn't have been in pain. She still didn't know where she was, and once again dove into her thoughts for what seemed like another eternity. Finally one day, she tried to move again. Opening her blue eyes she looked around, noticing the endless nothingness around her. Had Serenity indeed sent her back to where Chaos should have been destroyed? Had she gone back so far due to the explosion that she had landed before Time started? She straightened her body and looked around. She became afraid. There was nothing around her. There was no direction, no time, no...anything.

"My god..." She whispered. Again she heard no sound. There was no air to carry it. She knew where she was now. She knew what her purpose was. Looking to her side she noticed the sword she always carried with her. Her race claimed it to be a gift from the gods. So far, only she had been able to use it. There was a legend that said it could not be held by one of an evil heart, and only the one who came from the warriors 1,000 years past could hold it. She was the one. She held it up over her head and watched the symbol on it glow brightly, as her own symbol reacted with it. She brought it down, ripping a hole between demensions. She was sucked in and watched the tear reseal itself. That was when the pain began. She shrieked in pain as the sensation seeped throughout her entire being, right down to her very soul. The girl shattered. The sword was then being held by three sets of hands. A girl with red hair and red eyes, a girl with green hair and green eyes, and a girl with blue hair and blue eyes. Power, Courage, and Wisdom. The three virtues the elven race the first girl had come from valued. Without Power, being Couragious and Wise would be worthless. Without Courage, Power and Wisdom would be nothing. And without Wisdom, Power and Courage could not be used.

"Woah!" The three shouted, and jumped apart. They looked at each other, each not knowing who the others were.

"Who are you?" The girl with red hair asked.

"I am Farore. Farore means 'One who is Couragious'." The girl with green hair responded. "You?"

"I'm Din. It means 'One who is Powerful.'"

"I...am Nayru. 'One who is Wise'." An eerie silence fell over them, as it slowly dawned on them what happened. Was it possible, that the one they were, had...split? Had she lost her strength, become fearful, and did not know what to do? Had she lost her Power, Courage, and Wisdom? The silence seemed to last differently to each. Around each time seemed to flow differently. For Din, it seemed as if centuries were ticking away. To Nayru it was a few moments. And Farore seemed to think a million years had gone by. Nayru spoke up.

"Before the battle...we told Serenity if she wouldn't destroy Chaos here, then the battle would have never taken place. Perhaps she sent us here, because we made sense." The wise one said, using 'we' to indicate themselves as one. Din looked to her.

"Oh yea. Like we're supposed to be God or something. What are we supposed to do? Breathe life into this...this mess?" She demanded, waving her arm to indicate the mass of chaos around them. Farore nodded.

"Yes. That's exactly what we're supposed to do." She said. Din rolled her eyes.

"Okay. So, let's say we DO create a plain of land. A world. What do we call it?" She finally asked. Nayru thought back to the elven girl they once were. Perhaps name it after the small town she came from.

"We can call it..." She began, when the other two seemed to know her answer.

"Hyrule." They all said togather.
