Chapter 7 New Beginnings And New Recruits

Clothes: A tight black beater ripped off 3 inches below her breast short hunter green shorts and worn black combat boots. Inu same old red haori and hakama. Everyone else some old outfits.

Kagome had woke early before InuYasha and had gone out side to train with a whip she had come across some time ago. She had set up some things to strike at with the whip around the side of the shrine's courtyard with the sacred tree. She had been at her practice for nearly 2 hours before InuYasha emerged from the house and tried to sneak up on Kagome. Though Kagome knew he was there she waited till he was about ten feet away before she whipped the whip at him with out even turning and pulled hard drawing him toward her.

“Woaw!! Hey what'd you do that for?” Inu asked.

“What I was just play'n, and no I wouldn't hit you with it cause I've practiced with this thing for 5 years.” Kags said giving the whip a good crack and smirking.

The moment was really heating up when Souta came running out.

“Kagome, InuYasha mom wants you guys to eat something before you leave. Where are you to going any way?” Souta asked.

“Wait Inu don't say. Souta I'll ask mom if we can explain this to you, but yeah I know your wondering about our ears they are real.” Kagome said and went inside motioning for them to follow. Kagome hadn't put on the seal yet today.

Inside Kagome found her mom in the kitchen making breakfast.

“Kagome hunny you're feeling better?” Kaiya asked her daughter.

“Yeah mom hey I wanna talk to ya bout something.” Kags said to her mom.

“Yes dear?” Kaiya asked.

“Mom something is going to happen with in a month or so something bad. I think we need to tell Souta so I can teach him the things he'll need to know and if he knows now he can help when I'm not here. He's stronger then you think mom but I don't think he'll be as strong as me with me being reincarnated from Kikyo.” Kagome told her mother whispering it to her.

“I think your right dear. Get grandpa for me will you?” She turned to Inu as she asked for him to get gramps.

“Souta there's something you need to know now.” Kaiya said

Kagome looked at her mother with a questioning look.

“Souta you remember the stories that aunt Nari told us about these great battles with demons and other things?” Kagome asked her little brother.

“Yeah why?” Souta asked.

“Well they're real specially the ones about the great lynx demon tribe.” Kagome said.

“What they are?” Souta asked surprised.

“Yeah remember the ones about the young lynx demon Bunza well that was really dad he did all those things.” Kagome told her little brother.

“He was really a demon but what does that make us?” Souta asked confused.

“Since he was all demon that makes us hanyou that's why I have these ears. Same goes for Inu his dad was all inu youkai and his mom was human.” Kagome said just as gramps walked in with Inu.

“So I'm gonna have ears like you guys and cool powers?” Souta asked excitedly.

“Yes but I gonna train you with what I know and your gonna help protected mom and gramps. When I'm not here your gonna be the only demon in the house unless aunt Nari is here. You're gonna have to be responsible and protected them if a demon attacks but that's not gonna happen for well over a month.” Kagome said.

“Wow.” Souta kinda just said there absorbing everything.

“Oh mom I think the best and most easy way to train Souta would be to take him to the futile era so he can practice what I teach him on real enemies and it will prepare him much better.” Kagome made a very convincing statement to her mom.

“All right hunny but he has to be back by the end of the month cause school is starting then.” Kaiya said.

“Gramps can you take off Souta's sutra to?” Kagome asked.

“Yes just a second.” Gramps lifted the back off Souta shirt and pull the waistband down 2 inches chanted a spell and Souta grew 3 inches taller and little dark brown lynx ears grew on the top of his head. His eyes became like Inu and Kags's he grew claws and his body thinned a little and his muscles became a little bigger.

“So Souta feel any different?” Inu asked.

“A little I feel a little stronger then before.” Souta said.

“Ok let's stop waisting time and go we need to find those shards.” Inu said getting impatient.

“Alright Souta go pack some clothes I have everything else.” Kagome said shooing her little brother up to his room.

In the futile era at Keade's

Kags Inu and Souta walked in to see Shippou and Keade were talking to Fluffy and his to companions.

“Kagome!!” Shippou said jumping into Kags arms.

“Hi Shippou. Hey Fluffy thought you would have taken off by now?” Kags said.

“I asked if we could stay Kagome I wanted to see if you were alright.” Rin said with a smile.

“Yes I'm alright but ah never mind.” Kags said

They talked for maybe another hour or so then they all left Fluffy heading to his castle and Inu and all headed to find more shards. They had covered probably 35 miles by nightfall. (Oh yeah Kags and Souta have on the concealment sutra with the clothes they wear they don't need any more reasons for people to stare.)

“Hey I sense a shard.” Kagome said.

“Where is it?” Inu asked.

“That way and a monk has it.” Kags said pointing to the northeast.

“Let's go get it.” Inu said.

They leave their stuff and head toward the monk.

“Hey he's headed toward us.” Kags said and everyone readied themselves for anything.

“Right.” The guys said.

They ran to the edge of a forest and Kags stopped so everyone did. After a few seconds a monk emerged from the forest line.

“Hello what can I do for you?” The monk asked.

“Well could you tell us why you have a jewel shard?” Kags asked.

“So you can sense the shards?” The monk asked.

“Not only that I can see them.” Kags said slyly.

“So hand it over monk.” Inu said rudely.

“Inu be a little nice if we're nice they'll be nice back.” Kags said.

“In any other case that would be true but not this time.” The monk said taking a fighting stance holding his staff in defense.

“Alright then we'll take the shard.” Inu said pulling tetsusiaga out.

“Alright Inu the monks all yours.” Kags said stepping back with her brother and Shippou.

They began the fight Inu taking the first strike but the monk blocked it with his staff. Then the monk struck Inu in the side with his staff. Then hit him with a holding sutra sticking it to his forehead. Inu began to growl in frustration since he couldn't move.

“Hey that's a low blow you asshole.” Kags yelled picking up her whip that she brought with her and crack it at the monk breaking his staff in half.

Then kept coming at him cracking it in every which direction. Till the monk pulled pray beads off his right hand and a great wind came from nowhere and started pulling Kags toward him. Kags whipped her whip at a tree and it wrapped around it giving her grip.

“Kagome!!” Both Souta and Inu yelled.

The whip slipped from its grip around the tree and Kags went flying at the monk. The monk closed his wind tunnel and Kags hit him hard enuf to knock him down. With Kags landing on top of him kinda sprawled out over him.

“Kagome are you okay?” Souta asked running over to his sister.

“Uhg.” Kags groaned in numb pain sitting up.” Yeah.”

Kags looked down at the monk who looked as if he was passed out.

“Hey monk, wake up.” Kags said kinda loud.

The monk moved his hand not opening his eyes and rubbed Kags ass. Kags looked very pissed off and pulled the monk up by the collar till he was standing he had opened his eyes on the way up.

“Hey do that again and I'll personally neuter you.” Kags said calmly and sucker punched the monk hard enuf to knock him out.

“Uh Kags now that he's out cold can ya get this sutra off me.” Inu ask still growling.

“Yeah.” She said walking over to him and decided to be a little evil. She grabbed the sutra and pushed him back holding the sutra and he went falling back onto his ass.

“Damn it Kagome what was that for?” Inu got up and looked pretty pissed at her.

“No reason just wanted to. Aaaaahhhhh!!” Kags yelled the end and took off running and dodging Inu.

They ran around Souta and Shippou and through the trees for about a half hour till the monk woke.

“Kagome he's awake.” Souta said.

“Oh my head.” The monk said sitting up.

“Hey monk what's up?” Kags asked being goofy.

“What happened?” The monk asked.

“Well we fought you grabbed my ass and I sucker punched you hard enuf to knock ya out cold.” Kags said with a smirk.

“Wow never knew a girl could throw a punch like that.” The monk said rubbing his every swelling jaw.

“Hey if you're a monk why do ya have a shard?” Inu asked.

“I came across it about a week ago a weasel demon had it and was terrorizing a village. I defeated it and took the shard as payment though I have no use for it. I thought I'd protect it keep it out of the hands of other demons.” The monk explained.

“Oh so your doing the same thing as us.” Shippou said.

“Since you are wanna help us collect them I'm the one that's suppose to protect it but I was the one who broke it and I wanna right what I did wrong.” Kags said.

“I'm more of a solitary man.” The monk stated.

“Come on you could use the help and so could we though we have 3 hanyous and a young full blood.” Kags said.

“Sure why not but one thing first would you bare my child.” The monk asked.

“Hell no you asshole I just lost my own child I was carrying yesterday when a stealth demon attacked us.” Kags said pretty pissed and gave him another good punch not hard enuf to knock him out though.

“I'm sorry I apologize for my rudeness.” The monk said.

“So what's your name monk?” Inu asked changing the subject cause he could smell how upset Kags was getting so fast.

“Oh it's Miroku since we're going to be traveling together might I know your names?” Miroku asked.

“I'm Kagome, this is InuYasha, Souta, and Shippou.” Kags said pointing to everyone as she said their name.

They headed back to where they set up camp with Miroku. They all sat down and ate then went to sleep Kags falling asleep in Inu's arms in a tree over looking the camo site.
