Author's Notes: Here I go again, First thanks for those of you who had positive things to say about my fic either in e-mails or in your reviews on ff.net. Anyway, in an lame attempt to keep this short, I will say that in the next part has more senshi action and senshi/generals romance. I apologize in advance to all the Usagi/Mamoru and fans out there. The fact is, I Hate Mamoru and Chibi Usa!!!

Chapter 4: Can't Fight the Moonlight

Sub-space time warp:

"Damn You Rosette Sutashiro!" Setsuna yelled as three more possible doorways appeared. Just as she had finished studying the first one that replaced Crystal Tokyo.

"Tisk tisk tisk Puu-chan," Rosette giggled softly in her senshi form

"Tranquility, why in the hell are you doing this?" Pluto demanded sounding frantic.

Sailor Tranquility sighed and walked around looking at the different possible futures there were. "To prove a point and get a message across to you, Kyuushiki (old friend)," she sighed coolly.

"And what would that be?" Pluto asked trying not to completely loose her temper.

Tranquility flashed Pluto a silky smile and flipped her ponytail over her shoulder. "The future isn't set in stone and you can't force a person to accept what very well may not be their destiny."

"What in the HELL are you talking about?" Pluto snapped

Tranquility held out her hands and a silver staff with an ice blue crystal orb materialized in her hands. She closed her eyes and waived the staff past each portal making them disappear one by one till there were none left. "We all know that if Beryl hadn't come along and destroyed the Moon Kingdom, that Serenity and Endymon would not have lived happily ever after," Tranquility began.

"What do you know? As I remember, Queen Serenity had you banished from the Moon Kingdom for treason," Pluto glared murderously at the star bound senshi.

"Those charges were a farce and you know it Pluto, or were you in on the conspiracy too?" Tranquility hissed actually angry. "Sailor Mars found out that I caught on to her power play and framed me. The problem was that I couldn't prove it because no one would listen. I tried to talk to the princess, but that's when I was caught," Tranquility snapped angrily as tears ran down her face. "I don't want my Imoto-chan to make a decision she may end up regretting."

Pluto looked at Tranquility comprehending what she was saying. "So…I kind of screwed everything up by letting Chibi Usa through the gateway in the first place?"

Tranquility nodded her head. "No matter what happened, Crystal Tokyo would have fallen because of the kings cold and untrue heart."

Pluto held up her hand, "Wait a minuet, Rosette, what are you talking about now?"

"Chiba Mamoru is not same person as Endymon," Tranquility stated bluntly. "He is selfish, and lustful, and…not a nice person!" she exclaimed. "The day I was exiled, I had wandered upon the Prince and Princess of Mars in a heavy make out session in the rose garden."

Pluto's eyes widened in shock, "He was cheating on her?"

Tranquility nodded solemnly. "Try to remember that the future is not set in stone therefore can be changed for the good or bad at any time. I plan to give Usagi the future she designs, not the one someone else written for her."

Pluto opened her mouth to object but stopped as she watched the senshi of peace and silence disappear from her sight. "Truly you are living up to your name Tranquility,"

Chicago Rosette's Mansion…

Usagi sat in her room listening to the radio as she finished up her homework. She leaned back in the desk chair as her ears picked up on the song playing on the radio and sighed softly listening to it.

I long for the warmth of days gone by,

As the song faded out, Usagi continued to reminisce about the one time she and Mamoru made love. A single crystalline tear slid down her cheek

"Geesh Usagi-chan," Neherenia sighed from the doorway of Usagi's bedroom. "You really need to stop mooning over that louse."

Startled, Usagi fell from her chair and cast a mock vicious look to the girl "Oh you will get it for that one, Nene-chan," she giggled pulling herself off the floor. A moment later, her giggling died down and she was back to her same depressed mood. "I know I shouldn't love him, but we were destined to be together, ne?" she asked herself more than Neherenia flopping down on the bed.

Neherenia flopped down next to Usagi and started playing with a strand of her long golden hair. "Rosette told me that destiny cannot determine the future no more than a two bit physic can see tomorrow."

Usagi cast a sidelong glance Neherenia, "what in the hell is that supposed to mean??"

Neherenia shrugged then smirked playfully. "It means you and I are going out clubbing tonight. And if you object, I will drag you out kicking and screaming and keep you out till you forget that jerk."

Usagi laughed and sat up looking at Neherenia. "But fairy godmother, I don't have anything to wear," she joked.

"No problem," Neherenia smiled grabbing Usagi's hand leading her down to her room. She glanced up and down at Usagi then darted off to her closet. She returned a moment later with a pair of black hip huggers with silver glittery stars and moons, a silver iridescent tank top, a black hoody with the same silver glittery stars as on the jeans, and a pair of black platform boots.

Usagi ducked into Neherenia's bathroom and changed into the outfit. When she stepped out sporting the outfit, she gasped seeing Neherenia. "Wow, you look good, Neherenia."

Neherenia was dressed in a pair of purple hip huggers, and a black cropped halter top. "You think?" she asked smiling.

After adding a touch of makeup, both girls dashed out of the house to the club.

The Club:

"Wow, the line is pretty long, are you sure we'll be able to get in?" Usagi asked seeing the huge crowd.

"Yup," Neherenia smirked grabbing Usagi's hand and pulling her to the front of the line where the bouncer was standing.

"Well ladies, you two are in luck tonight," the surly looking bouncer smirked allowing the two of them to enter.

When the two of there were out of the bouncers hearing range, Neherenia giggled and took off her jacket and took it to the coat check room. Usagi followed Neherehia's lead then the pair went out to the dance floor where there was a large crowd danced. As the beat changed slightly, Usagi and Neherenia began dancing with two random guys. As they danced they failed to notice a pair of violet eyes watching them, preferably Usagi as she gyrated her hips to the music.

In one smooth motion, the man rose from the barstool and made his way over to Usagi. Finally reaching her, he gently rested his hand on her waist caressing her lightly and leaned closer. "We meet again princess," he whispered softly.

Startled, Usagi spun around and gasped frightened at who was behind her. There stood behind her was Prince Diamond dressed very suavely in a dark purple shirt and black pants. "Diamond!" she almost screamed and tried to run. Diamond gently grasped her wrist. "Don't run Usagi, I have no intention to hurt you."

Usagi stopped struggling and turned to face Diamond shocked that he knew her earth name. She then looked at his deep violet eyes and saw no trace of lust that was there when he was after Neo Queen Serenity. "How did you know my name?"

"I'm physic," Diamond smiled stepping closer and holding out his hand to Usagi. "Want to dance?" Numbly, she nodded her head and stepped closer to him just as the song changed.

Listening to the odd nagging feeling telling her to trust Diamond, she stepped closer allowing him to place his hand on her slender waist at the bare expanse of skin between the waist of her jeans and the hem of her top.

"You've been hurt Usagi-chan," he murmured pulling her a little closer to his body so their pelvises were almost touching. "Trust me." Usagi looked into his eyes again seeing no sign of lust, nor any sign of his third eye or the inverted crescent moon. Smiling slightly at Usagi's examination, he pulled her closer and leaned closer almost brushing his lips against hers. "I won't hurt you."

Seeing no trace of malice or intent to do her any harm, Usagi relaxed in his embrace and continued dancing with him. "I don't know why, but I believe you," she whispered softly. Diamond smiled and relaxed completely.

"That's all I ask, Usagi-chan,"

Neherenia and Helios smiled from the corner of the club. "So, you're plan worked," she said nonchalantly pressing closer to her beau.

"What, you thought it wouldn't?" he asked mildly shocked. "Oh, I am so hurt," he said feigning upset. "Should we leave her?" Neherenia smiled at the couple.

"Nah, they're leaving on their own," she noted.

"Nani!? We'd better follow them!" Helios rose and prepared to followed but was stopped by Neherenia. "Usagi hasn't been here as long as we have, and Diamond may scare her off…"

"Helios, calm down," Neherenia sighed softly. "Rosette and I have been working hard training her and she knows how to defend herself as well as use her magic without transforming."

"She has a cell phone, doesn't she," Helios said more than asked.

"Exactly," Neherenia replied in the same tone.

Somewhere in the city:

Diamond and Usagi walked down the street in relative silence every once and awhile hazarding a glance at the other. "So…you decided to write your own future?" he finally asked breaking the silence.

"How…how did you know about that?" Usagi asked looking up at Diamond surprised.

Diamond smiled at the young blonde taking her hand in his. "I already told you that I am a physic," he chuckled softly. "But honestly, I did retain some of my powers after I was granted permission to return to this world."

"Granted permission?"

"Hai, well after Wiseman killed me, I was stuck in limbo for a while because of some mix up on some book. We all were sent back, but we were scattered so we could live separately," Diamond admitted. They stopped at one of the river walks on the Chicago river and watched as a gondola drifted by with a couple riding along enjoying the ride. (A.N. Yes, there are gondola rides in Chicago.)

Unconsciously Usagi took Diamonds hand again and inched close to him resting her head against his shoulder. "There will be no Crystal Tokyo," she said bluntly spilling her true feelings out to him. "There will be no fantastic kingdom in the future because I do not want to be a queen. I just want to live normally."

Diamond stopped in his tracks and looked Usagi in the eyes almost searching her soul. "What about your prince?" he asked almost dreading the answer.

BONUS CHAPTER!!!

Interlude1: Letters.

Much to the delight of Usagi, Helios and Neherenia, the semester finally came to an end and school was out for the summer. During her three months in Chicago, she and Diamond grew closer and closer eventually falling in true love with each other.

School had been out for only two days when she sat down at her dressing table looking at her reflection when Luna hopped up on the table beside her charge. "So, are you going to at least write Ami and tell her where you've been?" she asked casually.

Usagi sighed picking up her brush and began to brush out her now knee length tresses, a reflex more of tension than vanity. "I don't know. I mean why should I?" she sighed sounding a little annoyed.

"You owe it to them?" Luna questioned.

Usagi slammed the silver brush down on the table top and looked at the black cat angrily. "I don't owe them shit," she snapped braiding her hair into a loose sloppy braid. "Actually, I do owe then a thanks for giving me the strength do what I choose."

"Listen to yourself Usagi!" Luna snapped. "You sound very arrogant and selfish! What happened to you?"

"I changed Luna. I am writing my own future."

Luna sighed sitting back on her haunches looking at Usagi. "You know I have been keeping in touch with Artemis, ne?" she asked softly and Usagi nodded in response. "Well, he told me that Ami, Minako, and Makoto regret what happened that day and wish they could take back what they said. He also told me that they got the letter you left."

Usagi sighed and looked at Luna giving her a wan smile. "Okay, okay…I'll send an e-mail to Ami right now," the blonde princess sighed moving to the computer and sitting down. After she logged on to the net she accessed her e-mail and saw she had a new message from one Water Goddess. Out of curiosity, she opened it.

Subject: Gomen Ne...Please forgive us :*(

Please Usagi-chan read this before you delete this. We were wrong, we shouldn't have listened to Rei that day. Mako-chan, Mina-chan and I are really looking forward to your homecoming. I know this letter is pretty short, I just wanted to tell you that we all miss you.

Ami

PS I have a boyfriend now.

Usagi sighed as she finished reading the letter with an arched eyebrow "Ami has a boyfriend?" she asked herself. "Well maybe it is time for me to forgive, but I won't be so accommodating."

Luna looked up at her young charge amazed at the maturity she displayed. "So…you're going o email her and tell her you are coming home next week?"

"I'll e-mail her but I am not telling her exactly when I am coming home," Usagi smiled turning back to the keyboard and began typing.To: Water_Spirit@hotmail.com From Moon_Angel@yahoo.com Subject: Apology accepted Okay I read your message and I am willing to forgive, but I cannot and will not forget that easily what happened. All I ever wanted was for you all to live happily I know I am now. I met a guy here, he is really good to me and we are in love. I'll be returning home in two weeks, maybe we can all get together and catch up? Usagi

Hope you enjoyed this bonus interlude. No Usagi isn't evil for heaven's sake. She is more poised, and self confident and NO LONGER A CRYBABY!!! You'll notice that besides the clubwear she may sport on occasion, Usagi's wardrobe has also changed a little too. You'll see what I mean in the nest chapter.
