Sailor Moon Fan Fiction ❯ An American Boy in Tokyo ❯ Sergeant Hulka ( Chapter 17 )
The battles picked up again shortly afterwards. With my new armor, and new reasons to fight, the girls seldom had a chance to tranform. Mina's parents insisted that we move in together to get the hang of living with each other, and after another three months had passed, Serena was in the hospital giving birth. Just as Mina and I had walked in, after she had delivered little Rini, my alarm went off. I quickly shut the door and posted Mina just outside to keep everyone else out as I transformed and looked at the LCD screen.
"Sorry to bother everyone today, Alex, tell Serena I said congratulations." Jackson smiled.
"Thank you, Jackson." She replied.
"Your welcome, now down to business, we've got another CO same place, but it's not shenlong. Looks like Sergeant Hulka, real nasty piece of work. All brawn, no brain if you get my drift."
"Is he alone?"
"No, he's leading two foot soldiers, lance corporals by the looks of it, easily defeated, one thing, watch out for his rail gun, it can shoot through anything and not lose any accuracy at all."
"Got it, okay, I'm on my way." I looked up at Serena as I powered the armor down again. "Duty calls your highness, I'll come back and oogle later." I said.
"Wait! We're coming with you." Lita stood up.
"No, you heard him, this guy's a cake walk. You should stay here and take care of Serena." I said.
"Are you crazy? The last time you faced one of these guys, you almost died." Raye said. "You're not going alone, Alex." She said.
"Fine, I'll take Amy and Lita, combine your powers to fry the crap out of the two foot soldiers and keep them off my back, Hulka's mine." I said. They agreed, and then Mina almost came through the door.
"Why not me? Alex?" She asked.
"Mina, do you remember what happened to me last time I fought one of these guys?" I asked.
"Well, duh, sherlock." She rolled her eyes.
"You don't have any armor, and your powers aren't that effective against them. I've seen their powers in action against these guys and they're very effective when combined, almost as much so as mine."
"So basically what it boils down to is you not trusting me." She said.
"No, Mina, what it boils down to, is that I'm probably going to get hurt out there. Maybe not, but probably, and that's while I'm wearing a suit of armor that's completely impervious to any type of weapon found on Earth, you don't have that luxury, what do you think would happen to you?"
"I'm coming." She said grabbing her bag. I started walking off with the three girls following me. When we got to the Avalanche, I got in and started the engine.
"Buckle up." I said, before stomping on the gas and peeling out of the parking lot, zipping down the road to the mall. The car then skidded to a stop and I got out walking towards the trio standing in front of me. The large one in the middle raised his left arm, it too had a cannon on it, and took aim on the vehicle. "Everyone out of the way!" I turned and shouted, too late, before I was half way finished with the sentence the Avalanche exploded sending debris, shrapnel, and flames everywhere. I stared at the wreckage for a second before turning back to face him. "You've just made your last mistake, Hulka." I started running at him, still in normal mode. Just before I reached him, I pressed the button and jumped through the air, tackling him to the ground and bending the barrel of his rail gun so that he couldn't shoot it anymore. He punched me in the helmet and sent my flying backwards. After I shook it off three sets of hand helped me back up. "thanks girls," I said. Then looked around. "How'd you get out of the truck?" I looked off to the side and saw Jackson waving. "Nevermind." I waved back. "Okay then, let's go kick some butt, we have some celebrating to do later." I started running back at him. "That was a nice punch, Hulka, but try this one on for size!" I ran up and slammed my fist under his chin as hard as I possibly could, popping his head right off his shoulders. It landed on the ground about fifty feet away. I then turned and kicked one of his underlings into the side of the mall, the wall cracked slightly, but the beast split in half. I started to hit the other one when Hulka's voice started talking.
"No, over here!" He shouted. "Urg! I hate my body!" I turned and looked, sure enough, his body was crawling around on all fours looking for his head, which was still laying on the ground a few yards away. I raised my cannon and fired one shot, launching it into the air. "Hey guys!" I shouted. I got under the head's trajectory and held both of my fists, heels up under it. "Bump!" I shouted. Lita smiled and ran over having caught on.
"Set!" She shouted, launching it up into the air even higher than before.
"It's all you Mina!" I shouted. She smiled and ran up, leaping into the air and raising one hand behind her, catching the screaming head and taking aim on the sergeant's crawling body.
"SPIKE!" She shouted, the head launched at breakneck speed towards the body punching a hole clean through the sergeant's back and chest. I stared at the hole as the body started convulsing then fell to the ground and was set to flames. Even when the other underling attacked me, I backhanded it into the wall and killed it, not taking my eyes off the girls.
"What the hell was that?" I asked, powering down my armor.
"Jackson gave us a little surprise for you." Mina replied smiling.
"What? Another set of powers?"
"Not exactly, more like an amplifier for the existing set." Amy said. she held up another female's belt and then a man's belt. "Even gave us two more for Darien and Raye." I smiled and lit a cigarette.
"Alright then, it's about time, cool. Well then, let's get back there shall we?"
