Episode 3

"What are they doing....what? What? Where did they hide it? Where is it...where...where is it?!" A small man in a white lab coat squeaked to himself looking out of a crack in his shady building. He strained his neck sideways and up and down trying to get a better look at the plantation before him. He jumped down from the crate he had been standing on and straightened his glasses, and ran his hands through his white hair. He put his fingers together, thinking. "Where did they put the materials?" He said, and closed his eyes. Walking over to a wall where there were several charts tacked up, he ran his finger over a spread sheet. "01, 02, 05 complete. If only we could move faster...we would have the evidence we need to destroy that plantation..." He smiled in spite of himself and sat down in a black chair. "I will wait..."

"Uh, minna-san...this is Setsuna-san, and her...friend." Usagi said and sat down next to Mamoru on the sofa. Setsuna smiled and stood up.
"As Usagi-chan has said, I'm Meiou Setsuna, and this is Meiunko."
"Konnichiwa, Meiunko-chan! I'm Aino Minako! These are my friends, Tsukino Usagi, Mamoru Chiba, Chiba Chibiusa, Tomoe Hotaru, Ten'ou Haruka, Kaiou Michiru, Hino Rei, Mizuno Ami, Kino Makoto and uh...Duo." Minako said, pointing to each person as she said their name, she looked at Duo expectantly until he realized that he should stand up and continue.
"Yeah...I'm Duo Maxwell, this is Yui Hiiro, Chang Wufei, Quatre Raberba Winner and Trowa Barton."
"Well, it's nice to meet you all." Setsuna said, smiling.
"Meiunko, would you like me to show you to your room?" Chibiusa asked, looking quite excited.
"Yes, please." Meiunko replied. She held everyone's attention until both she and Chibiusa were out of the room.
"That was weird," Rei said, Hotaru nodded.
"You felt it too?"
"Yes...uh...can I talk to you...outside for a moment, Hota-chan?" Rei asked, looking around at her companions. Hotaru nodded and followed Rei out the front door.

"What I felt wasn't evil, but I definitely did feel something." Rei said to Hotaru once they were outside.
"I wonder if the others felt it as well?"
"Don't you think that someone would have said something if they had?" Rei asked,
"I guess you're right. It's funny that I can still detect these things, I haven't been Saturn for over a year, and I can still feel it." Hotaru said.
"The fires tell me that there will be trouble ahead, and on the way to this place I had a dream about world destruction again."
"Isn't it always like that? Starting with world destruction?" Hotaru said, laughing a little.
"Well, let's just keep what we feel to ourselves unless we talk like this again...I don't think our housemates need to hear about this, do you?"
"No, they don't." Hotaru said.
"It's too late." A voice said behind them. Hotaru's eyes narrowed and both she and Rei turned around to see Hiiro leaning against the doorframe with his arms crossed.
"How did I know it was going to be you? Do you make it a habit to listen into others' conversation, or is this a recent development?"
"How long have you been standing there?" Rei asked with her rude voice that she only used sometimes for Usagi.
"Long enough. What was all that, Hotaru-chan (AN: 'chan' is usually used for people much younger then yourself (ie: Usagi to Chibiusa), or for friends, saying it to someone who is not your friend or older or the same age as you would be considered rude.)?" Hiiro asked, emphasizing the 'chan'.
"Why do you care, Hiiro-CHAN (AN: Heee hee, major diss. Males get the 'kun' usually or 'sama' sometimes. 'Chan' on the male's name is used as an endearing term (ie: Mamo-chan), and it's obvious that Hotaru isn't using it endearingly.)?"
"Number one, I'm living with you two...I want to know if I've got a couple of nutcases in the vicinity."
"Nutcases?!" Rei said, "You bastard."
"You asked for it, now, are you going to tell me what you were talking about?"
"Rei-chan, I need your help with dinner!" Usagi called from the window, Hiiro, Rei and Hotaru turned to look at her.
"Just a minute, Usagi-chan..." Rei said. Usagi went back inside, closing the window. Rei turned to Hotaru. "You can tell him. I've got to start dinner. Just go down to the beach or something, wouldn't want any more grape-vine listeners." Rei said, looking at Hiiro. Hotaru grabbed Rei's hand as she started to walk away, Rei turned around to look at her.
"I don't know the whole story..." Hotaru said, trying to get her friend to stay.
"It's okay...just tell what you know, he doesn't need to know everything." Rei took her hand out of Hotaru's grasp and walked out the door. Hotaru's eyes followed her, and then she turned her purple orbs on Hiiro.

"I hope you like your room, Meiunko-san, if we knew you were coming, I would have cleaned it up a bit." Chibiusa said to Meiunko as she sat down on the twin bed in Meiunko's bed. Meiunko smiled a eerie smile and sat down as well.
"It's fine, arigato. Tell me about your friends, Chibiusa-chan."
"Well, okay...there's Usagi...I look up to her...for some reason I don't remember right now. She's really nice, but ditzy, and klutzy, and she can be immature sometimes. Then there's Rei, Makoto, Minako and Ami. They're my friends too. Ami's really smart, Rei has really good advice, and Minako is always into boys; Mako loves to cook. Haruka is like a uh...brother...yeah. Michiru is smart like Ami, and she plays the violin. Mamoru is like my father, and well, you already know Setsuna. Hotaru-chan's my best friend. She's smart and nice, and very understanding, even though she's older then me. I don't really know the others very well, but I guess they could be called my friends." Chibiusa said, "Tell me about your friends."
"I don't have any friends. Not many people talk to me, they think I'm strange."
"Rei and Hotaru had that problem too, until they met Usagi. You should talk to her, she'll make you feel happy." Chibiusa said. "Do you like board games, Meiunko-san?"
"I've never played any before."
"I have monopoly, we could play if you want. I'm sure I could get the others to play...er, some of the others."
"Okay, it sounds like fun." Meiunko said. Chibiusa smiled and was about to get up to go find the board game, but was distracted by a ball of silver fuzz that had just rolled out of Meiunko's backpack.
"Meiunko-san...what is that?" Chibiusa asked, looking closer as the ball unrolled itself and became what looked like a cat with large mouse ears.
"Oh, that's Shigai, he's my pet."
"Does he, uh...talk?" Chibiusa asked uncertainly, for she knew many animals which had the gift of speech.
"How did you know? He talks to me all the time, and sometimes I can't shut him up. Say hello to Chibiusa, Shi."
"Konnichiwa, Chibiusa-san." The creature said, and made a face which Chibiusa recognized as a smile.
"Hello...now, about that board game..."

Hotaru walked a little farther and glanced over her shoulder at the house before sitting down on a rock by the ocean. Hiiro sat down about two feet away from her and followed her gaze to the ocean.
"Are you going to tell me or not?" He asked, still looking at the ocean.
"You can't tell anyone."
"I'm not keeping whatever you're telling me from my friends."
"Fine. Just don't tell unless they ask, okay? And I am not a nutcase."
"Agreed."
"Okay...for me it started when I was five. I was in a lab accident that happened in my fathers lab, and I was killed."
"You were killed?" Hiiro asked with raised eyebrows.
"Yes, I was killed all right? Well, from the lab accident rose a demon named Pharaoh 90, and my father pleaded with him to bring me back. He said that he would do anything if only my life were saved. Pharaoh 90 agreed, and he saved me, giving my body to a being called Mistress 9. My father was possessed as well.

"The older I grew, the weaker my body became, giving rise to Mistress 9 taking it over completely, there was barely any 'Hotaru' left in me. When I was twelve, I met Chibiusa, and we became friends. I didn't know then that I not only had Mistress 9 against me, but also Senshi Uranus, Pluto and Neptune as well, both for different reasons. Mistress 9 wanted my body so she could have the Holy Grail, which Super Sailormoon possessed. The senshi wanted me dead because along with Mistress 9, my body possessed the spirit of Sailorsaturn, the goddess of death and rebirth, who would silence the world.

"Only a few months after I met Chibiusa, the battle between the senshi and Pharaoh 90 became more intense, and the three talismans, which the outer senshi possessed had been brought together, awakening Sailorsaturn inside of me. Mistress 9 had also been awoken, and had gotten ahold of the Holy Grail. Mistress 9 also took Chibiusa's lifeline...her pure heart. I was able to defeat Mistress 9; and Sailorsaturn with the help of Super Sailormoon defeated Pharaoh 90. I was returned to the infant state, free of Mistress 9, but not of Sailorsaturn. I was returned to my father, for only a year, until the services of Sailorsaturn were needed again. I was reawakened by a former enemy of the senshi, whom I killed later.

"The senshi were fighting against Sailor Galixia, who was possessed by Chaos. She wanted the senshi's starseeds so she could own the galaxy, for they were the starseeds that glittered eternally. In the final battle against Galixia, I was killed, along with Sailorpluto by Sailoruranus and Sailorneptune. After the battle I was returned to the age of 12, and went to live with Michiru, Haruka and Setsuna. Somehow I continued to grow older until I was the same age as Sailormoon--Usagi...16. We haven't battled since Galixia." Hotaru concluded, a little bitter. She looked over at Hiiro, "You don't believe me, do you?"
"I didn't say that. You would have to be a pretty good storywriter to make up a story like that." Hiiro said. Hotaru nodded, she wasn't as mad anymore. "Who are the other senshi?"
"Rei is Sailormars, Ami is Sailormercury, Makoto is Sailorjupiter, Minako is Sailorvenus, Usagi is Sailormoon, Chibiusa is Chibi-Moon, Mamoru is Tuxedo Kamen, Setsuna is Sailorpluto, Michiru is Sailorneptune, and Haruka is Sailoruranus."
"Haruka and Michiru killed you? And you're not mad at them?"
"No. They were under the control of Galixia. They couldn't help themselves. Do you need proof?" Hotaru asked.
"Iie." Hiiro said and stared at the ocean for a few moments in silence. "Gomen ne, I would tell you my life's story, but I could be killed."
"That's alright, if you tell my story, you will be." Hotaru said.

"Hey minna-san! Does anyone want to play Monopoly with us?" Chibiusa called after racing down to the first floor with the game in her hand. Meiunko following closely behind her.
"That's a good idea, Chibiusa-chan," Minako said, "I'll play."
"Me too!" Duo said, "You gonna play, Wu-man?"
"With you weak onn--sure." Wufei said, seeing that he could turn the game into something competitive.
"I'll play minna-san," Makoto said, and Ami and Quatre agreed as well.
"Where's Hotaru-chan?" Chibiusa asked, handing the money to Ami so she could be banker.
"Wait, wait! I want to play!" Haruka called, running down the stairs. She was in the process of pulling on a pair of socks.
"I don't know where Hotaru is, Chibiusa." Ami said, passing money around. WuFei's eyes glowed as he counted his money.
"Can I supersize this?" Duo asked, Ami sweat-dropped, shaking her head.
"Meiunko hasn't played this before so could someone read the rules?" Chibiusa asked.
"No need for that, Chibiusa-chan! I have them stored in my head!" Duo said. "Okay, The object of the game is to get as much money and property as possible. You do that by buying lots and putting hotels and stuff on them. Then whenever someone lands on one, you get money! And it's fun! And I get to be the little doggy or you all die by the wrath of Shinigami!"
"Um, okay, Duo, you can be the dog." Ami said, "Meiunko, if you have any questions, you can ask Chibiusa, I know Duo did a pretty bad job of explaining."
"Okay." Meiunko said.

Once everyone had chosen their pieces and put them at the start line, the game was in progress. It appeared that WuFei wanted to win very much, because he had already bought several pieces of land. Minako was almost in debt, Ami appeared to have a strategy, Duo, though he looked confused, wasn't doing too bad for himself. Haruka, however, held the winning piece it appeared. She had more money then Wufei, and continuously mocked Makoto who was almost in as bad a state as Minako. Quatre was holding his own, and it appeared that, like Ami, he had a plan. Chibiusa and Meiunko had formed a team and were doing average, owning two pricey lots.

The game was interrupted when there was a knock on the door. Chibiusa jumped up. "I'll get it!!" She yelled and ran for the door.
"She has quite a bit of energy, doesn't she?" Minako asked, she had since dropped out of the game and was now laying on the floor. From where they were sitting, everyone could hear Chibiusa's voice, she was talking rather loudly, even if they couldn't see her.
"Uh, who are you?" Chibiusa asked the person at the door, a pause, waiting for the person to answer (they couldn't hear the other person). "He's here but he's not here (oxymoron!)." Another pause then: "Duo! The door is for you!!" Chibiusa yelled then ran back to the game. "Is it our turn yet?"
"No. Who was that?" Ami asked,
"She said her name was Relena." Chibiusa said.
"Are you serious?" WuFei asked, dropping his money. "I don't believe this." He said and got up and ran to the door.
"Relena! It is you! What are you thinking! How did you find us?" Duo's voice yelled. Soon, Duo returned with WuFei and a girl who had sandy brown hair with two braids hanging down the body of her hair.
"This is Relena." Duo said.
"Where is Hiiro?" Relena asked, not paying much attention to the people in the room.
"I don't know, but I will find out, then I will go get him...I'm sure he'll be pleased to see you."
