I don't own Sailor Moon nor do I claim to own it.

This story was inspired by Lostraius's Dark Mansion.

Alternate Sailor Moon Universe: In other words the characters won't have their senshi powers and just be everyday teenagers with a twist. So they'll be a bit out of character, but all of the senshi will have vital parts in this story, but the focus will probably be around Usagi more during the first couple of chapters.

Summary: Usagi is born into a very prestigious family, but while she was a little girl her mother died from cancer. A figure lays on a bed with the blankets pulled up over their head and yet their legs are out of the blankets, spread out in different directions while their arms match their awkwardly placed legs. A gentle snore can be heard from under the blankets.

The room is cast in darkness, with no possible light being able to enter the dark hole of the room until a door opens and in walks a tall figure which grabs the edge of the bed before lifting up in order to throw the sleeping form out of the bed. The figure in the bed springs out of the bed and lands in a crouch before the tall figure.

The crouching figure reaches behind them and flicks on the lamp beside the bed before letting out a groan when they see who the other person is.

“Do you really have to wake me up that way?” The crouching person asks before looking back at the clock. “It's not even five am yet. I haven't needed training in weeks. Why all of a sudden are you waking me up this way?”

The tall figure chuckles before moving over to the now upright person and ruffles short blonde hair. “I was just making sure that you can expect the unexpected. That was very good. Now get dressed and come down to the gym. I want to work you out for a bit before you start the first day of your fourth term,” the taller man states before walking out of the room, but then stops and turns around to face the other person. “Oh, by the way, Usa. Your Aunt's Haruka and Hotaru are here. They'll be training with you.”

Usa lets out a groan once again before rushing around the room to get dressed and down stairs to the gym before anyone can come up stairs to yell at her. Once she's finished dressing she runs down the stairs clad in black sweat pants and a gray tank top. Her short blonde hair still sticking up in every direction possible from being woken up so rudely.

She enters the gym and sees her two Aunts sitting in the lotus position over by the back wall. A short, dark haired youth waves at her then motions her over to where they are sitting. Usa lets a smile cross her face before jogging over to where her Aunts are sitting and sits down beside them.

“Hey, Usa. You ready to go back to school?” The short haired girl beside her asks with a smile on her face.

“Yeah, I'm about ready as ever,” she answers while smiling back at her Aunt.

“Yeah, I'll bet you are. All those girls swooning over you, the hero worship when you beat someone in Kendo classes,” Usa's short blonde haired, Aunt states from the other side of her.

Usa lets out a snort. “You mean the making a fools out of their selves girls, the boys chasing after me because they think I'm taking away their girl friends and the constant fights? Yeah, I'm so looking forward to that, Ruka!” Usa exclaims while letting out a puff of air that shifts her bangs out of her eyes.

“Oh, it can't be that bad,” Ruka states while laughing.

“Just because you like pretending to be a boy, Ruka, doesn't mean everyone else does!” Usa states before reaching over to slap her cousin gently up side the head.

Ruka scowls before shaking her head then reaches around Hotaru and ruffles Usa's hair. “I'm just poking fun, Usa. Don't get so bent out of shape. Leave that for the information I have for you,” Ruka states with a chuckle.

“What information is that?” Usa asks with a raised eyebrow at her older Aunt.

“There's a family reunion this weekend. Dad has arranged it and what Dad wants he gets. So that means everyone will be there,” Ruka states with a scowl.

“That's great, just great. That means we have to put up with those money grubbing, assholes, that call themselves our relatives. Perfect,” Usa states with a scowl that matches Ruka's.
Hotaru nudges her niece in the side and tilts her head towards Ruka. “That's nothing, Ruka gets to meet her fiancé at the reunion. Which means I get to meet my future sister in law,” Hotaru states with a chuckle before looking back over towards her scowling sister. “Ooops, gomen, Neesan.”

Usa looks at her older Aunt with her mouth hanging open before closing it and runs her fingers through her hair. “Let me guess, Ojiisan, made the arranged marriage, didn't he?” She asks while placing her arms on her knees looking over at her aunt.

Ruka lets out a sigh and nods her head. “Yeah, dad says that it's only fitting for me to be married that way since all my brothers were married that way, except for your dad. Hotaru is the last one in line for these stupid things,” she states before looking towards Hotaru and lets a small smile grace her lips. “I'm sorry, kid, looks like this is what you both have to look forward too.”

Usa and Hotaru let out a groan at the same time. The three girls are very close for one reason and one reason alone. Them being forced to pretend to be boys, well Hotaru and Usa were being forced, Haruka or Ruka to her family, actually liked dressing like a boy. Haruka and Hotaru were the only girls within the family and they were the last to be born into Usagi's fathers family. Their father didn't want girls so to make best of the situation he forced them to pretend to be boys while Usagi's situation was different. Her mother had died when she was a little girl, leaving her father heart broken so much so that he vowed never to get married again, but that left him with out an heir to take over when he retired. So he made do with what he had and turned his little girl into his little boy so that one day she may take over and continue for more generations to come.

The three stop talking when Usa's father comes into the gym and they begin their early morning work out session which consists of several different martial arts, kendo and some boxing thrown into the mix. After a couple of hours of working out, Usa's father announces that they are finished for today and congratulates them all on how well they have progressed over the years before letting them go off to take showers and either go to work or to school.

Once she's done showering, Usa dresses in her uniform which consists of black slacks, a white shirt under a red blazer that has her schools crest on the left side of the jacket, and a red and green tie around her neck. She looks at herself in the mirror and lets out a sigh before teasing her hair to make it look wind swept before walking out of the bathroom to grab her briefcase.

She walks downstairs to the kitchen to grab something to eat before waving a good bye to Luna and Haruka before walking out of the house with Hotaru beside her. She looks at Hotaru for a moment then lets out a sigh which causes her Aunt to look over at her with a raised eyebrow.

“Something on your mind, Usa?” Hotaru asks while walking with her briefcase over her shoulder and a hand in her pocket.

“Yeah, actually there is. Why do we keep doing this, Hotaru? I mean, my father is a friggin loon, really he is. He moved in with Ojiisan because he said that it would help him out with me, but in all reality it was so I could get formal training with you and Haruka in order to become a “boy” and for what? To run a business that I really don't want to run?” Usa asks with a huff before looking back over at Hotaru who lets out a sigh.

“Look, Usa, it's not like we have any choice in the matter. I mean at least you didn't have to have it beat into your head from birth. There was a period when you got to be yourself. Haruka and I never got that privilege. Maybe that's why it's harder for you then it is for us, but I can understand where you are coming from, but what can we do about it? We've ran away and got a beating for our troubles. We just have to grin and bare it,” Hotaru states with a sigh before giving Usa a sympathetic smile.

Usa nods her head and flicks her bangs out of her eyes which cause's a group of girls, who are walking on the other side of the street, to swoon at the sight of the gorgeous boys standing on the other side of the street.

“Look, it's Taru-kun and Nate-kun.”

“Oh, I love looking at Nate-kun. His blonde hair brings out his blue eyes so well. He's so Kawii!”

“I like Taru-kun better. He's got such dark, mysterious eyes. He's so gorgeous!”

Usa sighs when she hears this and looks over at the giggling girls on the other side of the street before looking at Hotaru then lets out a chuckle which makes her Aunt smile back at her.

“Oh, Taru-kun, you're so Kawii. Won't you marry me?” Usa mocks while they continue on their way down the street.

“Oh, Nate-kun, your eyes are so deep like the sea. I could just lose myself within them,” Hotaru states her voice going an octave higher then usual which leaves them laughing while they walk through the gates of their school.

The two girls walked towards their first home room chatting about what they thought they're last year of high school would be like, how they would avoid the ever growing angry boy mob and how to get out of going to their family reunion this weekend.

While walking to their class they hear someone call out to Usa. They both turn around to see a gaggle of boys standing not to far from where they were standing. One of the boys points at Usa, who goes white. She tells Hotaru that she'll see her later before dashing off and away from the boys who are now stampeding to where she once stood.

Hotaru lets out a sigh once the cloud of dust had cleared then shakes her head. “This is gonna be another long year,” she muses to herself before walking into the class room while trying to figure out what excuse to give to their first period teacher to explain her nieces absence.
<hr>

A couple hours later finds Usa trying to sneak around the campus without being seen by the gang of boys that were out to get her. It wasn't that she was afraid of the boys, it's just that she was tired of fighting them. That and she didn't want to deal with her father if she got caught fighting with them again then try to explain why she was fighting in the first place. Then there were the parents of the boys calling her father, after she had beaten the stuffing out of them, demanding an explanation as to why their sons came home black and blue only to be told by their kids that she had beaten them up when it was their fault in the first place.

Usa lets out a sigh when she sees that there isn't any one around then begins her trek to her third class for the day. Thrusting her hands into her pockets she makes her way through the gym which was the only door that she could find that was unlocked during the day.

She whips her head around when she hears a voice yelling and darts towards the nearest hiding place she can find, not noticing the sign on the door that states girls locker room. Once inside she sees that her hiding place is occupied by a girl. Her eyes grow wide when she notices that the other girl is half dressed and is standing there with her mouth open in a silent scream.

Before she can utter an apology the girl picks up the nearest thing which happens to be her shoe and throws it at Usa which hits the girl in the forehead before she can move out of it's way. The force of the throw jerks Usa's head back and before she has time to recover another shoe is being thrown at her head again, but this time she ducks and makes a hasty retreat out the way she came.

She leans back against the closed door and touches her forehead only to wince at the sting from where the shoe hit. Rubbing gently at the spot and wincing for her troubles the girl walks quickly yet quietly away from the door and out of the gym before any more mishaps befalls her.

Finally after a bit of negotiating around the boys in the hallways, Usa makes it to her classroom and quietly slips into the room before the bell can ring. Hotaru looks up from her sketchbook when she notices that Usa is back and takes in the red, weird shaped, outline on her forehead.

“What happened? Did they catch you?” Hotaru asks in concern for her niece.
“No, they didn't and no I don't want to explain why my head is red right at the moment,” Usa states before putting her head down on her desk and closes her eyes.

“Right, well, we can talk about it at lunch time, okay?” Hotaru asks only to receive a wave of a hand in response before the teacher comes into the room.

Hotaru turns her attention towards the teacher, but every once in a while she looks towards her niece who still has her head down on the desk. She pokes her once, but Usa doesn't move. Hotaru shakes her head, but then starts to poke the girl harder when the teacher calls on her.

She becomes frantic when he walks over towards where Usa is sitting and slams his hands onto of her desk which makes Usa jerk up and look around the room.

“What? What is it? Yes, No, True, False. It equals four hundred and thirty five. George Bush. The Magna Carter. What?” Usa rambles on while looking around the room for the source that interrupted her nap.

“Thank you for coming back to us, Tsukino-san. That'll be detention after school with me for an hour,” Hiroshige-sempai states before walking away from Usa who stares at her desk with a dejected look on her face before looking back towards Hotaru.

“Why didn't you tell me he was coming?” Usa hisses quietly so that the dragon won't hear her.

“I was poking you, but you didn't wake up!” Hotaru exclaims in a whisper before nodding towards the front of the room. “Now, look forward before we both get in trouble”

Usa puts her head in her hands and let out a soft groan. `This is gonna be a long year.' She shakes her head and turns her attention towards the teacher so not to incur the wrath of the dragon once more.

Usa lets out a sigh when lunch time finally arrives and she lounges under a tree that she and Hotaru usually sit under. Laying down in the grass with her arm draped over her eyes, she wonders why she has it so bad with the boys, unlike her Aunt, who gets along with just about everyone in the school. What made it so that she was the one being chased by them and not Hotaru as well?

She didn't get to ponder it long when a shadow falls over her. She takes her arm away from her eyes and looks up only to see a girl that she hadn't seen since she was a girl. She jumps up to her feet and charges towards the girl.

“Mako-chan! Oh my god! It's been so long since I've seen you!” Usa exclaims while the two girls hug. “What are you doing here?”
“It's good to see you too, Usa and I'm here because dad moved over here, so I was transferred here. Surprise!” Makoto states while throwing her arms out wide before turning around in a circle while laughing with her best friend since they were kids.

“Wow, I can't believe you are here. The last time I saw you was before I left with my father for here,” Usa states while sitting down in the grass with her long lost friend.

“Yeah, I know. How's that working out for you?” Makoto questions before dropping her voice down an octave after looking around. “I see your father made you do what you said he was going to do before you stopped writing.

“Yeah, he did. I had to stop writing because he didn't want anyone to know after the decision was made. My Ojiisan had a hand in that,” Usa whispers before waving towards Hotaru who she sees out of the corner of her eye.

Hotaru waves back before making her way towards the duo on the grass, in front of the tree. She sits down and smiles at the new person next to Usa. “Usa, you've made a new friend I see. Good for you,” she states with a laugh which earns her a soft smack on the arm.

“Not a new friend, Taru, but an old one. I'd like to introduce my friend Kino Makoto. You remember me talking about her, right, Taru?” Usa asks which earns a nod from her Aunt. “Anyway, Makoto this is my Aunt, Tsukino Taru. We both live with my Ojiisan.”

The two girls smile at each other before they all fall into a conversation about the school and living with their Ojiisan. Hotaru takes a break from the conversation for a moment to watch Usa interact with her friend Makoto and smiles while she watches the girls face and posture relax the more she talks with her friend and nods to herself thinking that maybe this year isn't going to be so bad for her niece after all.

After a couple of minutes of talking, Makoto raises a hand and beckons for someone to come over to them. Usa and Hotaru raise an eyebrow at Makoto who just smiles at her friend and the girls Aunt before explaining.

“My dad worked with a couple of my friends dad's and their fathers were transferred at the same time mine was, so we're at the school together which is really great, but not surprising since their dad's were on the same negotiation team as my father. When I heard that they were moving with me, it made me feel a lot better about going to this school, but it also made me psyched cause I'd like to introduce my new friends to one of my old friends,” Makoto states with a smile on her face.

Usa chuckles and nods her head before looking up when a shadow falls over the trio. When she looks up she sees the same girl that was in the room where she was hiding earlier. Usa lets out a yelp and backs off from the shoe throwing, banshee in front of her.

The dark haired girl looks back down at the blonde haired boy from before and frowns at him then looks towards Makoto. “That's the boy I was telling you about. He's the one that ran into the locker room while I was changing. The pervert!” The girl exclaims which brings over another girl with long blonde hair.

“What are you yelling about Rei?” The blonde haired girl asks with a raised eyebrow.

“That's the Hentai that was looking at me with his mouth open while I was half nude. Came into the locker room, looking to get a peek at someone didn't you, you peeping tom?” Rei yells while pointing a finger at Usa who is now cowering behind Hotaru, which causes her other two friends to form a sizable sweat drop on the side of their heads.

“Rei, just calm down. It was probably a mistake. It happens,” the blonde states while crossing her arms over her chest and looks over at the blonde haired boy with a smile and her eyes twinkling.

“Well, maybe, but I still think he's a hentai, Minako,” Rei states with a huff while crossing her own arms over her chest and glares daggers at the hapless boy.

Usa frowns when the girl calls her a hentai again and she comes out from around Hotaru. “Yeah, well, if you weren't such a banshee and hadn't went off the handle, maybe I could've explained that I just went into the wrong room by mistake, but no, you had to throw your shoe at me instead of letting my explain!” Usa explains with her arms crossed over her chest while glaring back at the dark haired banshee.

“What's there to explain? You're a boy in a girls bathroom! You had no place being in there. You can read can't you and besides I'm sure that you've been going to this school longer then me, so why would you make a mistake and go into the girls locker room unless you weren't a hentai?” Rei accuses while pointing a finger at Usa once again.

Usa jumps to her feet and points a finger at the girl. “I'll have you know that I was looking for a place to hide until some guys left. I didn't feel like getting into a fight today if you must know.”

“Oh really. What? Did you peek in on those boy's girl friends too?” Rei asks in a scoff which makes a vein pop out of Usa's forehead.

“I don't have to deal with this, Mako-chan. It was great seeing you, but I'll see you later. Just have Taru give you my cell phone number so that we can get in touch. You'll know where I'll be at Taru, come get me when this, banshee, is gone,” Usa huffs before stalking off from the girls who watch her leave before turning back towards Rei in a mixture of confusion and anger.

Though the only one confused is Hotaru while Minako and Makoto look at her in anger.

“Rei, you really need to think before you go off at the handle. It was a simple mistake, Usa isn't like that,” Makoto states while crossing her arms over her chest and glares at her friend.

“Yeah, well, you didn't see him standing there with his mouth open. You would've thought the same thing,” Rei states before sitting down in the grass next to her friend.

Makoto shakes her head and looks at Rei in surprise. “No, first I would've covered up then I would've asked what he was doing in there and then I would've started to throw things at him.”

Minako looks from where Usa last was then back towards Rei with a smirk on her face. “I would've asked for his phone number. He's really cute,” She states while wiggling her eyebrows at the two girl sitting in front of her.

“You would,” Rei mumbles while rolling her eyes at her friend before chuckling along with Makoto.

“Oh, Taru-san, I forget to introduce you to my friends. The boy crazy, blonde, is my friend Aino Minako and the one with a shorter fuse then a fire cracker is Hino Rei. This is Tsukino Taru,” Makoto states with a smile while the two girls she had pointed out give a small wave to Hotaru.

Hotaru smiles back before running her fingers through her hair. “It was very nice meeting the three of you, but I think I better go and find Nate before he gets into trouble,” she states before writing down her niece's cell phone number and hands it to Makoto. “Here's his phone number, Makoto. I'll see you later.”

“Bye, Taru,” the three girls state before Hotaru bows and walks off to find Usa.

Hotaru lets out a sigh while walking off towards where her niece's usual hide out is. `Okay, so maybe I was wrong. This year is gonna be bad, but at least it can't get any worse then it already is.' She thinks while she brushes some bushes aside to go down into the field behind the school only to see Usa and some boys fighting it out in the field below her.

She rolls her eyes and before running down the hill to help her niece. `Me and my big mouth.'
