{Birthday Bash, Sailor Moon Smash}

Serena said good bye to Maggie and Mina and started home. As she walked along, Rini seemed to pop up out of no where, followed by Luna and Diana. "Hello Serena!" Rini said happily. "Bet you've forgot about your mom's birthday didn't you?" she said with a smirk.

"What!? Oh no! Thanks for reminding me! Bye!" Rini watched as her mother-to-be dashed off.

"Uh! Weird," was all Rini said. Luna, who never had a chance to say anything to Serena, sighed.

As Serena came to a corner, she nearly ran into Darien, but he managed to catch her. "In a rush again Meatball Head?"

Serena looked up at Darien, "Oh, hi Darien!" she gave him a big hug. "I'm glad I ran into you cause I need help with my mom's birthday!"

"Have you thought about throwing a party for her? I'm sure Mrs. Aino and the rest of the girl's mothers would be willing to help out."

"You think?" she asked. Darien nodded. With this, he bent down and kissed her. She welcomed it openly and willingly. His lips were tender to hers. She didn't want it end, but when he finally pulled away she had a disappointed look on her face.

"Don't give me that look, Serena, please." he pleaded.

"I'm sorry." She said lowering head. Just a second later she lifted her head smile. "I met that Maggie girl today!"

"Did you now?"

"Yes! She's as Amy said, nice and everything. Plus she has a cute little puppy!"

"Hey Sere!" Nora called from across the street. While everyone would call her Meatball Head, Nora would sometimes call Serena, Sere, for short. "Auh! I thought I'' never find you." Nora said running up to Serena and Darien. "Here, it's an invitation to mine and Sarah's birthday tomorrow and I'd love it if you could come!" Serena took the note slowly. She looked at it and back at Nora.

"I…I can't go!" Serena whispered.

"Why not?" Nora asked confused.

"Didn't Sarah tell you?" Darien stepped in.

"No, tell me what? You know how her and me are."

"It's Mrs. Tsukino's birthday tomorrow." Nora looked from Darien to Serena.

"Tomorrow's your mother's birthday?" Serena nodded her head. "I guess we'll think of something."

"Ya." Darien and Serena replied.

"Well, I've got to go. Maraki is giving me daily lessons, he says I'm not thinking as fast as I should." Nora ran off.

`Gosh, and I thought Luna was strict' Serena thought to herself.

In the Negaverse, Dark-Con grew impatient. "Kinister! Why haven't you gathered me the energy I demanded!" Kinister walked out of the shadows.

"My lord, the humans, I've discovered, have a celebration called a birthday. Every year on the day they were born they throw parties. Presents are given to the person having the birthday and they eat something called cake and ice cream.

"I see, So what did you have in mind? Dark-Con asked.

"There's a place called `The Party House', we can disguise these orbs," he said holding up one of many round orbs. They seemed to glitter at his touch, small swirls of color lingered inside, "as small toys and when someone sings `Happy Birthday' that will be the time when the orbs become active and will suck out their energy!"

"Father, may I assist Kinister?" asked coming into the light. She was very beautiful with long night black hair and eyes as green as emeralds. She may seem nice and gentle on the outside, but get on her bad side and she's as wicked and vicious as a panther (her favorite earth animal). Kenya flapped her bat like wings hoping her father would say yes. He stared at his daughter, wondering if she was serious. Then a grin formed on his lips.

"My daughter you know that you're the only thing I have left. But, I do wish you would expand your knowledge and enhance your combat skills and to do that you must go out on your own. Kenya started to leave with Kinister when her father spoke once more. "But I'll only give you three hours and then I want you back here. It's probably best that you both go in disguise." Kenya and Kinister both nodded their heads. Raising their hands and bringing them down in a zigzag manner. Kenya and Kinister transformed into two human teenagers with the names of Karen and Kevin.

The next morning, just 45 minutes before the first bell for school rang, Serena was still in bed having a crossed dream between her mother's surprised face and Tuxedo Mask in a tree. He seemed to be saying something to her, so was her mother, but she couldn't make out what either was saying. Soon she saw Lita and the others. They seemed to be looking at he angrily and repeating the same thing. "You have failed us. We looked to you for help and you just stand there scared. What if we're not there to pull you out of danger, what then?" They were al wearing sailor suits and were walking closer to her. A hand fell on her shoulder. When she turned she saw Tuxedo Mask, but what scared her most was that his flesh seemed to be melting from his face. She quickly pulled away. The other scouts seemed to be crying her name. She turned their way and saw that tiny army ants were eating them alive. "Serena, help us!" they all cried. "Serena, Serena, SERENA!" Serena quickly woke up form her nightmare to find that Luna was on her chest, calling her name.

"What!?" she cried sleepily.

"Look at the time. You'll be late for school again!"

"Oh, no! Did my mom even try to wake me up!?" Serena cried panicky.

"Yes, but like normal, you said you'd be right there." Luna explained.

"And she believed me?" Serena replied getting out of bed, brushing her teeth, changing into her school uniform, and doing her hair.

"Has Rini left yet?" she asked from the bathroom doorway.

"Yes, about twenty minutes ago." The black cat replied. With that Serena rushed out of the bathroom, grabbed her books, rushed out the door, and down the street.

"What's taking her so long?" Lita asked. She and Raye were waiting outside the school.

"Over slept, I guess?" Raye replied.

"Well, she'd better hurry, cause I wan to discuss her mother's birthday with her. My mom said she'd be happy to throw a party for Mrs. Tsukino." Just as Lita was saying this, Serena ran up. She was all huffing and puffing.

"Party? Really?" she said out of breath.

"Of course, you've been talking about for weeks now!" replied Raye.

"Oh." was all Serena could say. Then the first bell rang.

"I guess we'll discuss the rest later?" Lita said.

"Yeah, Bye!" replied Raye as she left for her homeroom.

"Bye!" Serena called heading to her class. It was Friday and her teachers would be giving her lots of tests.

After school, Luna stood waiting with Rini, who had just gotten out of school herself. "So what's the deal?" Rini asked as Serena came out of school all gloomy and depressed.

"I'm dead," was all Serena said.

"What do you mean?" Rini responded. Serena showed her the paper. On the top was a big 23% F written in red on it. "That's bad. Here, want to see my test?" Rini handed both to Serena. On Rini's was a huge 86% B on it. "Heather and I had spent every Tuesday at Amy's for about two hours studying." Serena said nothing.

"It seems that Rini has beaten you again!" Luan said. Rini and Serena had made a deal that who ever could get the better grade didn't have to take out the trash or do the dishes.

"Yeah! Wait till I tell Darien and the others about this!" With that Rini dashed off toward Raye's temple. Serena had a blank look on her face before she realized that she had to stop her.

"Rini, you get back here!" Serena called running after her future daughter. Luna sighed, getting a sweatdrop.

Maggie was walking Anika, when she heard Serena running down the sidewalk. "Hello," she called after Serena. Serena quickly stopped, nearly crashing into a telephone pole. She quickly turned around.

"Oh! Hi, Maggie. Did I get that right? Your name is Maggie isn't it?"

"Yes, and you are, Mina?" Maggie asked.

"No, no. I'm Serena. Mina is the one who has her hair down with a red ribbon in it." Serena explained.

"Oh, okay…So what's the rush Min…I mean Serena?"

"Meow!" Luna called not wanting to spend much more time around Maggie as long as she had a dog that was staring at her hungrily.

"I've got to go, bye!" Serena said picking Luna up and dashing off again, not even answering Maggie's last question. When they were out of range, Luna spoke.

"Gee, and I thought I only had Maraki to worry about. If we get anymore dogs in this city Artemis and I will never be safe!" Serena wasn't even listening to Luna; instead she was too busy reading a sales ad on an item called `Magic Orb'.

Below that was a picture of the orb. Serena was very tempted to go inside and buy one of them. Rini was forgotten, Serena walked into the store. Luna tried to say that it might be another Negaverse trap. But the only thing Serena was worried about was getting something for her mother's birthday. "Welcome! See anything you like?" asked the store clerk, a middle aged man.

"I've been wondering about your `Magic Orb,' its so pretty. What does it do besides make a wonderful home decoration?" Serena asked watching as the colors in one of them move around, making cool designs.

"You'll have to ask Kevan or his cousin, Karen. They know more about them than I do. I just sell all the glorious things around you1" he said gesturing towards the shelves that were full of nick-knacks and other amazing things. Serena eyed everything in wonder.

"I'll take over, Bob," Serena heard someone say. She turned to see a young man, around Darien's age, talking to the older man, he called Bob.

"Okay Kevan. See you tomorrow." Bob said leaving. Kevan turned to Serena.

"So, you're interested in our `Magic Orb'?" he asked.

"Yes, I…" she started.

"Hello Meatball Head! Fancy seeing you here!" came a familiar voice, she knew all too well.

"Hello Darien!" she exclaimed, turning around and giving him a hug. She quickly let go of him.

"How did you know I was here?" Serena asked. Darien looked down at her for a moment before he spoke. "I was walking home, when I saw Luna sitting on the sidewalk, peering in. When I walked closer, I saw you just looking around, so I decided to come and say hi." Serena looked behind Darien to see Luna a look of anger on her face.

"Excuse me miss?" said Kevan trying to get her attention. "Was there anything you were going to buy?"

"Oh yes, sorry."

"That's okay." Serena buys the magic orb, a lava lamp, and a couple of CD's. She and Darien walk out of the store, hand in hand.

Later at the Tempel's, Nora and Sarah are up in their room with Kit and Learel, while their parents are setting things up. "I'm so excited!" Nora exclaimed.

"Settle down, you'll give yourself a heart attack." Her twin replied.

"You know, I really do not like that new girl, Maggie. I'd much rather use her as a scratching post!" Kit exclaimed. Maraki shook her head in annoyance. She lay on her small bed curled up.

"Human on the outside, but like any old cat on the inside!" Kit became furious.

"Kit settle down before you catch Nora's room on fire!" Learel said quickly.

"NORA! SARAH! You may come down now!" called their mother.

" I hate dogs!" said Kit mumbled under her breath.

"Kit…" Learel warned. Kit folded her arms in annoyance.

"Well…are you two coming or not?" Sarah asked standing right outside the door with her twin.

"Ya we're coming." Replied Learel.

"Don't worry Maraki, we'll bring you some..." Nora started.

"No thank you. I don't like cake and ice cream. But a steak will be nice." Maraki responded. Nora, Sarah, and their friends all went down stairs.

"I really wish Serena and Amy could have come." Nora said.

"Well I invited Raye, Lita, and Mina, but they said that they were helping Serena with her mom's birthday, which is also today." Added Sarah.

"Us Zodiacs have to stick together. Learel stated.

Michelle, Amara, and Trista were enjoying a day in the park. The cousins were telling Trista a little joke they put together; "…and then it turned out that he was really an ant under all that clothing!" Michelle said finishing it up. The other two laughed.

"Nice one, cuz!" Amara said.

"Thank you."

"Ahh!" They all heard someone scream from somewhere else in the park.

"Let's go!" Amara said.

"URANUS PLANET POWER!"

"NEPTUNE PLANET POWER!"

"PLUTO PLANET POWER!"

The outers followed the cries.

At the same time the party at the Tsukino's was rolling along quite smoothly. "Oh Serena, thank you dear!" her mother said.

"Your welcome, Mom." she and Mrs. Tsukino embraced in a loving hug.

"Aww!" everyone said.

"Here Mom, I bought this for you." Serena said handing her the present. Mrs. Tsukino took the gift and opened it. "Serena, its lovely." Again they hugged.

"She must have really like the present Serena gave her." Amy said to Mina and the others.

"I wish I could do something like that for my mom." Mina said.

"Guys, don't forget about the party that we agreed to throw for the twins." Lita stated.

"It's also a `Welcome to the Sailor Group, Zodiacs' party!" Raye added. Lita gets a big sweatdrop.

"I know! I know…Serena and her mom look like they're really enjoying themselves, doesn't it?" Lita replied.

"Anyone for cake and ice cream?" Mrs. Aino (Mina's Mother) said. Everyone began to sing Happy Birthday to Mrs. Tsukino.

"WORLD SHAKING!"

"DEEP SUBMERGE!"

"DEAD SCREAM!"

Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto called. Nothing seemed to harm Tesor. He looked like a giant rat that was crossed with a bull and a scorpion. His fangs dripped with green saliva that killed anything it touched.

"WE need Saturn!" Uranus cried.

"I'll see if I can contact her!" Neptune replied. She used her communicator, but she wasn't getting a response. "I can't reach her, nor the others!"

"DEAD SCREAM!" Pluto called again this time knocking it down.

"I guess we're on our own!" Uranus called over Pluto's attack. Tesor got up and ran at Uranus while she was occupied.

"Uranus watch out!" Neptune cried. Uranus' reactions were to slow compared to Tesor's. Uranus didn't even see Tesor until it was too late.

"DEATH CHARGE!" someone called. The skeleton of a buffalo came out of the forest and ran strait for Tesor. The beast ripped through him and disappeared. Tesor exploded. Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto looked up to see someone on the hill wearing a black and red Sailor suit. "It's Sailor Eclipse!" Neptune said. Eclipse soon disappeared.

Everyone at Eileen's party was asleep after having their energy drained. Serena and the other's tried to remain awake not even knowing the cause. The orb had drained almost all of the energy from everyone when the Outer scouts arrived and destroyed it. Within minutes, everyone started to wake up. They saw the scouts in time to see them leave. Serena and the others too saw Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto leave. Serena rubbed her eyes; still a little sleepy when she noticed something blue on the table she was standing by. She turned her head to see what it was. And gulped in surprise. She nudged Amy, who stood right next to her. "What?" Amy asked. Serena pointed to the blue object. Amy was shocked to find the Mercury Palmtop Computer out were someone could see it. `How could it have gotten there? Amy thought.
