Destiny changing

Serena blushing softly as the light dimmed and saw Artemis standing there in his naked glory "Umm…Artemis, you might want to turn around and use my disguise pen" She said handing the naked man the pen.

"Oh" Artemis said looking down as he noticed his lack of clothing "Sorry" he said sheepishly. Turning slightly away from the still blushing Serena he used the pen. He was once again hugged by a pinkish white light. It only lasted a second before it evaporated leaving the naked man clothed in back tight jeans and a grey sweater and cowboy boots (I like cowboys)

"Wow Artemis, I never knew you were so cute" Serena said softly as she put the pen away after Artemis handed it back "The transformation is permit, you'll never be a cat again. But, we will have to go clothes shopping fairly soon. We don't want you to become naked again do you?" Joked Serena

"HAHA…very funny" Laughed Artemis after a few minutes of silence. Artemis got up from his set and pulled Serena into his arms "Thank you my Princess, I will forever remember this" Serena to choked up to say anything just hugged him back. Some time later they pulled apart and sat down.

Artemis noticing the tears on her face "Don't cry milady, I will guard you and protect you form all things. Or at least try. I…love you Serena like the daughter I've never had. I know that the others have hurt you and I wish I could take the pain away. But, unfortunately I can't. I can however, help you come to terms. If you allow it. I will become your advisor, you trainer if you will" Artemis said with great passion

Serena, who was silent during Artemis's speech, looked up with tears in her eyes "Would you be a friend? That's what I need right now, a friend. You can be my advisor later"

Artemis shocked that she would even have to ask, but knew why, Damn those scouts and that Tuxedo idiot, why did they have to hurt the only person who actually cared about them? Thought Artemis before he answered her "Of course Serena, I will be your friend. I will always be your friend" Artemis stopped as he felt a small hand go on his leg. Looked down and then back at Serena

"I love you to Artemis, Even though I had a family, you were like a father to me, even on the Moon. For that and for what you did the other night, I will never forget that." Serena said softly "Yes, I've been hurt, I'll heal. I know I can trust you; I'm not sure of the others, but with you by my side. I know I can handle anything.

A few hours later Serena noticed that Artemis had finally fallen asleep Poor thing, I bet he's really tired after all of this Serena thought to herself. Serena sighed and turned back to the window.

The landscape rolled by as Serena thought back on her life as Sailor Moon and as the Moon Princess. Will I ever truly be me? Serena asked herself as she thought back from all the battles she endured, the countless arguments between her and the scouts. She even realized the lack of love that Darien showed her, even in the early days of their romance.

I should have seen it, the lack of attention he gave me when we were alone. Always reading when ever I came over. Always ending our dates early, never really kissing me unless I kissed him first. Now that I think about it, was I even in love with him? Or was it just memories of something else? Oh why did this have to happen…I was naive, carefree at one point…now I'm faced with no family, no friends, well except for Artemis. Why did this have to happen?

**Next Stop Nerima….Next Stop Nerima…**

Pulled out of her thoughts by the announcement looked over at her companion to find him awake.

"Hello Artemis, did you have a good nap?" Serena asked with a soft smile.

"Yes I did. Did you get any rest?" Artemis asked while straightening his hair

Serena shook her head "Well be arriving soon. About ten more minutes I think. Artemis am I doing the right thing? What if they don't know who or what they are…or what if they don't want or like me?" Serena asked Artemis in a rushed voice

"Serena, calm down. The outer scouts will already know who they are, they never forgot. You forget who takes care of them. Do you really think the guardian of time will allow that? As for them not liking…well that's just crazy. If my memory is correct and it normally is they will love you. So please don't worry everything will be fine" I hope Artemis thought silently trying not to worry his already worried Princess. I don't know what to expect from them. The outer scouts were always a mystery.
