Destiny Changing

AN: Okay. First Sailor Moon Story. But I couldn't stop myself from writing this. Please review. Btw I don't own Sailor Moon or anything.

They say that destiny is pre-arranged from the beginning of time. But what if they are wrong? What if what we think is destiny is really what people tell others when they want their lives to go certain way? Destiny or Fate? Circumstances or free-will? When I was fourteen I was told that my destiny was to be a leader and to fight the forces of Darkness. To say the least I was scared ofwhat that would mean to my life as a teenage girl. But, over time I thought I did alright. Was I that wrong?

When did everything go so wrong? Serena thought to herself as she looked out the window of the moving train. Why didn'tdestiny stay like it should have? Will this ever make sense? Could it be that I was actually destined tobealone? To fight alone?

"Do you think you think everything will workout?" Serena asked her companion "I don't know Serena, I just hope it does" Artemis replied from his seat. Serena not getting the answer she wanted turned aback to her thoughts

It all started the other day, has it really been only twenty-four hours since my life fell apart? She didn't want to remember the events of the past last twenty-four hours. It all started when I woke up early for a change, even Luna was a sleep, I got dressed, hadbreakfast and left for school, Mrs. H was shocked that I was even on time. The day went well.Ievenpassed my math test, to say the least I was even shocked. Now that I think back, it should have been a sign that things where changing. But, I was too happy to care.

*Flashback*

With a huge smile, Serena, walked into the Arcade to play the latest Sailor V game that Andrew just got yesterday.

"Hey Andrew, is the game free?" Serena asked as she walked up to Andrew, who was standing by the counter.

"Of course Serena, is there anything else I can do for you" Andrew asked

"Well. Now, that you mentioned it. What do you give to people who get a 98% on their math tests?"

"Nothing… wait? Who did you get 98%? Serena? WOW, you did! That's wonderful" Andrew said when she showed him her test and getting a big hug with it. "Well, for you. How about a free Sunday? With extra chocolate"

"And sprinkles?" "And Sprinkles" "Alright, hey if I had know this, I would have done better before" Serena said with a wink to Andrew walking over to where games were. He just laughed and shook his head "Why don't you go play, and I'll call you over when it's done" Serena just nodded and sat down and inserted her coin.

Just when she was about to play her communicator started beeping like crazy. Serena jumping at the sound quickly got up and ran to the door yelling as she went "Sorry Drew, I have to leave. How about a rain cheque?"

She ran down the street and hid behind the corner before answering

"Serena here, what's up?" "Trouble, that's what" Sailor Mars said "We need you at the park right away. HURRY!" she signed off before Serena could tell her she was half way across town. Oh well

Quickly making sure no one saw her she changed into Sailor Moon and ran as fast as she could to the scouts.

When she finally arrived at the Park there were about 3 different monsters attacking the inner scouts at once "Alright you Nega Ceeps. Your about to become moon dusted" Sailor Moon yelled as she jumped into the fight beside Sailor Mars.

Just when she was getting ready to use her attack on the monsters, a huge fire ball headed straight for both Sailor Moon and Mars. Oh no it's too big to dodge it!Thought Sailor Moon We'll never make it!

She quickly turned her back from the blaze and held back the scream, if anyone was paying attention they would have seen her blocking the blaze from Sailor Mars, But they where to busy screaming a warning.

"JUPITER SUPREME THUNDER " "VENUS LOVE CHAIN" "MERCURY ICE BLAST"

With the three attacks combined the monsters where toasted (you almost wonder why they didn't do that before)

"Sailor Mars, you okay" "Yeah, thanks to Dar...Tuxedo Mask" What? Tuxedo Masked saved her and not us both? Serena wondered as she tried to get up. But the pain in her back was almost unbearable, but somehow she did it.

"Guys? Mars…You okay" Sailor Moon asked weakly "Yeah...No thanks you to. God! if it wasn't for Tuxedo Mask. I wouldn't have been.Where the hell where you?" Mars yelled at Sailor Moon. Serena just looked at Mars in total shock, unable to say a word. Much less do anything else.

"This is just like you…you are never around when we need you. Your lazy, selfish, STUPID and most of all. You suck as a leader" Mars said pointing a Sailor Moon " I...We don't want you as our leader, we don't need you... For anything..." Mars continued.

Sailor Moon just looked at Mars, then slowly looked at the other scouts, noticing for the first time how they all stood behind Sailor Mars looking at her with uncertainty, and rage.

"Do you all agree with this" She asked in a whisper

Mercury just looked away and nodded, Jupiter just stared at her and Venus actually walked over to her and slapped her.

"You almost cost us our lives. I wish I never met you. I can't depend on an air head like you" Venus said walking back to the others.

Sailor Moon holding her cheek slowly looked at Mars then at Tuxedo Mask, wish he would walk over to her and tells her this wasn't happening. Just when she was about to say something she noticed that his was holding Sailor Mars hand and that she was leaning on his chest. "Tuxedo Mask...Darien...why are you holding her hand? Do you agree with this?" pleading with her eyes at him to deny what her heart was already starting to tell her.

"You ask why I am holding her hand. Well I'll tell you why. I'm sick and tired of fate, destiny or whatever it is, telling me who and what I am. Much less whom I love. I've made my choice, and it's Sailor Mars. Not your Sailor Moon, I don't love you. I don't think I ever did. I might have loved you in the past. But after 1000 or so years... well things change. I've changed. I hated the fact that I broke up with her before, but because I thought that you and I were meant to be together. Well I don't believe that anymore. So yes I agree with them. I wish Sailor Mars was the princess, but she not. But she's my princess and as far as I can say the new leader of the Sailor Scouts. You can either live with it or get the hell out" Tuxedo Mask said and as if to make his statement true, kissed Sailor Mars right in front of her.

Sailor Moon to shocked and hurt to say anything, just looked on burning the image of them kissing and the scouts smiling at the couple. "But...but"

"But nothing Sailor Moon, The scouts have spoken, you have to respect that" said a new voice

Sailor Moon looked down and saw that it was Luna and Artemis. Where did they come from "Luna? Your with this?" She blurted out in shock

"Yes, I have to say. Mars shows a lot of signs of a great leader. Not like a meatball head like you. Even though she isn't the Moon Princess…she is the better scout. So yes I agree with her and the others. I'm sorry Sailor Moon, but that's the way it is" the black cat said jumping on Mar's shoulder.

Sailor Moon looked over at the other cat guardian and waited for him to hurt her as well.

"Sailor Moon, I have been Sailor V's guardian for a long time, and I've never been more ashamed then I am right now. Even though you aren't the strongest, you are brave and powerful, and if you will have me. I will guide you to become the person I know you can" he said walking towards her and bowing.

She just looked at him with tears finally falling and bent down to pick him up and placed him on her shoulder after giving him a brief hug. Looking one last time at her scouts and at the man she thought loved her turned away.

*end flashback*

So destiny lied or did fate have a different plan. All I know is that for the first time I don't know what to do next.
