Sailor Moon Fan Fiction ❯ Misleading Star ❯ The Encounter ( Chapter 7 )
Chapter 7 - The Encounter
I tried to scream but my voice lay on dead ears. The force of the man was over whelming, his mighty hand clutching my arm as hard as a hammer beat upon a nail. Tears streamed down my face and a whimper cut through my lips catching his attention.
He turns to me his features shown by the light of the moon. Eyes as green as the treetops and Brown hair darkened by the night, fluttered over his stern face. But through the shadows of his determined face I could see a longing in which I never saw in the eyes of another but, in my own eyes when sorrow over came passion. And grief struck down love.
Both hands were on my shoulders now and I stepped back as frustration made his hands crush my bones. I wiped my eyes and defiantly stood facing him stepping back a step at a time. I didn't know why I didn't try to run he was trying to kidnap me for Heaven's sake. But I didn't. My casual steps came to ceases when his strong arms swooped down tossing me to his shoulder, making it painfully clear my purse was still with me.
I looked around trying to find an aid but, darkness was all to be seen. The tall trees scraped the sky in their earnest attempted to cover the moon. As may gaze fell I noticed a shadowed road marking our path. My hair swished in the breeze created by his swift pace. My purse, doing the same.
My purse I never would have thought had my eyes not wandered. I picked it up and smacked him with the contents in side.
"Crack!" Violently I was flung to the ground as he yelled out clutch his head. I opened the purse my eyes never wavering from my opponent an I let my fingertips be my eyes in the now unzipped pocket. I prodded and poked until a smooth round object was in my grasp.
By this time the stranger was about again but to my surprise had a smirk about his face. My fingers dripped with perspiration as I fumbled the cap of the object held. The stranger walked closer and backed me into a tree the grimacing smirk never leaving his face. His arms blocked my exits left and right my only hope locked in my trembling hands.
"POP!" the cap came off and he looked down at my hands. I had his ass now! A sound of spraying abounded in all directions as I held the button down on the object aiming for his eyes. Again he shrieked with pain clutching his face slamming himself into another tree. My chance had come. I high tailed it through the woods never looking back. Trees seemed to pop from the ground and I strained my vocal cords crying for help avoiding every thing I could. And stumbling over what I couldn't.
A snap came from behind me and my curiosity over took my will. I looked back still running forward. Not seeing any one I looked forward again only to collide with a metal object. My vision blurred and the night darkened until nothing was to be seen.
Coldness engulfed me as I slept. A bitter drop fell down m face as consciousness came back. A continuous beep echoed through my head unearthing a wretched pain. Another droplet hiked down my cheekbone as I opened my eyes into a world with no physical shape. My hand reached up to my pain stricken head only to find a large bag filled with small cold particles. I removed it and with a great strain sat up right only to be forced back down.
"Stay put. I'll return in a moment." The voice so soft I could barely recognize it but I knew it was mother. Her voice was a welcoming thing although I had much rather see her face than just hear her. Unfortunately my eyes would no give shape to that around it. I closed them again only to hear footsteps entering the room.
"Akino can you hear me? It's Doctor McCormick. Your mother says you have finally awakened." Came a voice next to me. The bed drooped to the left as the doctor sat down. I moaned in response flinching as the person examined my head.
Doctor McCormick had seen me several times before and we knew him well. He worked at the local hospital its name I can't recall. He had seen me for various things from broken bones to my first case of chicken pox.
My eyes, which I had left closed, were now forced open and light blinding them. I moaned again showing my displeasure and the hint was taken. Doctor McCormick stood and began talking allowing my bed to take the regular form.
"I would like to keep her over one night for observations she seems to still be in shock by the lack of reaction in her eyes." He stopped and then said, " Now I know you are worried Mrs. Takenuchi but I have to ask you to go home and get some rest." My mother began to protest when Doctor McCormick cut her off, " I won't take no for an answer and you know that! You've been up since the ground's keeper found her that last night. Now go home and get some sleep. You can return in the morning.
"Alright, I'll go," a slight bit of protest still lingering in her voice. She walked up to the bed that I laid on and gently hugged me. "I'll be back in the morning Akino. Don't worry." And with that they left. Closing the door behind them.
My body was aching as I began to fall asleep again. The annoying beeping echoing though out the room. But even it could not bother me and soon I was in a world of fantasy once again.
