Chapter 5

Tough Decision

 

It's been almost two weeks since Serena stayed over at Mina. Kaleigh hasn't been feeling the great since that night. Kaleigh is the doctor's office. The doctor is checking.

“Congratulations Mrs. Serenity you're pregnant.” The doctor said.

“Are you absolutely sure?” Kaleigh asked.

“Yes I am.” The doctor answered.

Kaleigh sighed and walked back to the house. Serena is sitting on the couch watching TV. Serena noticed her mother walk in.

“Where did you go mom?” Serena asked.

“I just went for a little bit.” Kaleigh answered.

“Oh okay because dad was getting worried about you.” Serena said.

“Where is your father?” Kaleigh asked.

“He's up in his room lying down because he has a headache.” Serena answered.

“Oh well than.” Kaleigh said.

Kaleigh walked into the kitchen and made herself a snack. A few hours later Kieran came into the kitchen to fine Kaleigh having a glass of milk.

“How's your headache honey?” Kaleigh asked.

“It's better than it was.” Kieran answered.

“That's good.” Kaleigh said.

“How did you know about my headache?” Kieran asked.

“Serena told me.” Kaleigh answered.

“Where did you take off to early?” Kieran asked.

“I don't really want to talk about it right now.” Kaleigh answered.

Kaleigh walked outside and noticed Frankie go for a walk. Frankie noticed Kaleigh. Frankie walked over to Kaleigh.

“How are you doing?” Frankie asked.

“I'm doing okay I guess.” Kaleigh answered.

“What's wrong?” Frankie asked.

“I just found out today that I'm pregnant again.” Kaleigh answered.

“What's wrong with that?” Frankie asked.

“The only thing wrong is when Kieran and I talked about having more children he said that he didn't want anymore so I'm scared to tell him.” Kaleigh answered.

“Does that mean that Kieran knows who you are now?” Frankie asked.

“Yes it does.” Kaleigh answered.

“How long has he known?” Frankie asked.

Kaleigh sighed.

“He figured it out two weeks ago when I was sick.” Kaleigh answered.

Frankie got a confused look on her face.

“How would you being sick make him figured it out?” Frankie asked.

“I got weak and fainted into his arms.” Kaleigh answered.

“How you fainting into his arms help him figured it out?” Frankie asked.

“There's just something about the way I fainted that help him figured it out and I'm not sure what it is.” Kaleigh answered.

“What you are hoping this baby to be?” Frankie asked.

“I've always secretly wanted a boy.” Kaleigh answered.

Frankie sighed.

“Well you need to Kieran soon because it's not fair to keep him in the dark.” Frankie said.

Kaleigh sighed.

“Yes I know that but I don't want to start up another fight with like we had in Silver Millennium.” Kaleigh replied.

“Does he love you?” Frankie asked.

“Yes he does and he actually admitted it the day that I was sick.” Kaleigh answered.

“Are you serious?” Frankie asked.

“Yes I am and it shocked me too because you know that he keeps his emotions very tightly locked up inside.” Kaleigh answered.

“Yeah I know that he does but it's not good for him to do that.” Frankie said.

“I know and I've told him that millions of times but he still does it.” Kaleigh replied.

Serena suddenly appeared. Frankie smiled than left.

“Are you coming back inside mom?” Serena asked.

“Yes I am.” Kaleigh answered.

Serena and Kaleigh headed back inside.

It's been a few days since Kaleigh told Frankie that she's pregnant again. Kaleigh still hasn't told Kieran about the baby. Serena is in the living room watching TV. Kieran and Kaleigh come into the living room at the same time. Kaleigh sat on her armchair and Kieran sat across from her. Serena turned off the TV. Serena looked at both her parents.

“I've been thinking about how I really want to be a big sister.” Serena said.

Kieran smiled.

“It would be nice to have a baby around again.” Kieran replied.

Kaleigh gasped.

“Why did you tell me in the Silver Millennium that you didn't want anymore children?” Kaleigh asked.

“I said that because at the time it wasn't right to have another child.” Kieran answered.

Kaleigh smiled.

“Could I talk to you alone in our room?” Kaleigh asked.

“Yes of course my dear.” Kieran answered.

Kaleigh and Kieran walked up to their room. Kaleigh shut the door behind them.

“Are you wondering why I wanted to talk to you alone?” Kaleigh asked.

“Yes I am.” Kieran answered.

“How badly do want a second child?” Kaleigh asked.

“Bad enough.” Kieran answered.

“Well you're going to get one.” Kaleigh said.

Kieran looked at Kaleigh.

“How?” Kieran asked.

“I'm going to have a baby.” Kaleigh answered.

Kieran smiled than picked up Kaleigh in his arms and spun her around in the air. A few minutes later Kieran set Kaleigh back on the ground.

“This makes me so happy.” Kieran said.

“What made you change your mind about more children?” Kaleigh asked.

“A few days before he came here I was looking at Serena's baby pictures and it remember me of how nice is was to have a baby around.” Kieran answered.

Kaleigh sighed.

“Should we tell Serena?” Kaleigh asked.

“Yes of course we should.” Kieran answered.

Kaleigh and Kieran walked into living room where Serena is watching TV.

“Could you turn that off?” Kieran asked.

“Yeah I can because there's nothing on anyway.” Serena answered.

Serena turned off the TV.

“Thanks Serena because your mother and I have something very important to tell you.” Kieran said.

“Which is what?” Serena asked.

Kaleigh sighed.

“I'm going to have a baby.” Kaleigh answered.

“That means I'm going to be a big sister?” Serena asked.

“Yes it does.” Kaleigh answered.

Serena smiled.

“That's so cool.” Serena said.

Kaleigh smiled. Kaleigh went to the den and turned on the CD player. Kaleigh switched the CD player to 5 disc and pressed play. The song When I Look At You by Miley Cyrus started to play and Kaleigh started to sing along.

Serena heard her mother singer and looked at her father.

“Could you sing a song with me please dad?” Serena asked.

“Yeah of course I can.” Kieran answered.

Kieran smiled than took the remote the living room CD player and turned it on. Kieran switched it to Disc 1 song 1. The song Butterfly Fly Away by Miley Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus started to play. Serena and Kieran started to sing along to it.

“I noticed that darling but not as good as us.” Kieran replied.

“Should we sing a song for her Kier?” Kaleigh asked.

“That's sounds a great idea Kale.” Kieran answered.

“That's from High School Musical.” Serena said.

Kaleigh nodded her head. Kieran switched the disc 9 and pressed play. The song I Can't Take My Eyes Off You by The Cast Of High School Musical stated to play. Kieran and Kaleigh started to sing along with it.
