Something Just Isn't Right

 

It's a been a been a week since Kaleigh and Kieran told Serena that's she going to have a sibling. Serena is at Raye's for a Sailor Scout meeting. Serena sighed.

“What's wrong with you lately?” Mina asked.

“My mother is going to have a baby and I can't wait to be a big sister.” Serena answered.

“Queen Serenity is pregnant?” Lita asked.

“Yes she is.” Serena answered.

A few hours later the meeting is over and Serena went home. Serena is about to open the door when an older lady approached her.

“Hi little girl.” The older lady said.

“Hi.” Serena replied.

“Do you live here?” The old lady asked.

“Yeah I do now but before I lived across the street.” Serena answered.

“What's your name?” The older lady asked.

“My name is Serena.” Serena answered.

Kaleigh opened the door.

“Is that you mom?” Kaleigh asked.

“Yes it is sweetie.” The older lady answered.

“She's my grandmother?” Serena asked.

“Yes Serena she is.” Kaleigh answered.

“Oh that's cool.” Serena said.

“My name is Marguerite but you can either call me nanny or grammy it's up to you.” The older lady replied.

Kaleigh, Marguerite and Serena walked inside. Serena looked around.

“Where's dad?” Serena asked.

“Your father went to run a few errands for me.” Kaleigh answered.

“How is Kieran doing?” Marguerite asked.

Kaleigh smiled.

“He's doing just fine mom.” Kaleigh answered.

All of a sudden the front door opened and Kieran walked inside. Serena smiled.

“Daddy.” Serena yelled as she run over and hugged him.

Kieran dropped the bags that he has and hugged Serena back. Kaleigh rolled her eyes.

“Where's my hug?” Kaleigh asked.

Marguerite laughed. Kieran stopped hugging Serena. Kieran walked over to Kaleigh and pulled her into a passionate hug. Kaleigh smiled. Kieran suddenly noticed Marguerite.

“Hi Ms. LeMorre, it's been a long time.” Kieran said.

“Yes it has and I've told you a millions a times to call me by my first name.” Marguerite replied.

“Oh I'm sorry I keep forgetting.” Kieran said.

Kaleigh whimpered. Kieran looked at Kaleigh.

“What Kier?” Kaleigh asked.

“I'm really starting to get worried about you because obviously there's something wrong so I'm taking you the hospital.” Kieran answered.

Kaleigh sighed than fainted. Kieran looked at Marguerite.

“What would you like?” Marguerite asked.

“I was hoping you'd stay here with Serena.” Kieran answered.

“Yeah of course.” Marguerite said.

Kieran picked up Kaleigh in his arms and teleported to the hospital. Kieran walked inside with Kaleigh in his arms. A nurse walked over to them.

“What can I help you with?” The nurse asked.

“My wife is pregnant and she's having a hard time this time.” Kieran answered.

“What is your wife's name?” The nurse asked.

“My wife's name is Kaleigh Marjorie Serenity.” Kieran answered.

“What's your name?” The nurse asked.

“My name is Kieran Miguel Serenity.” Kieran answered.

Kaleigh slowly opened her eyes. Kieran let Kaleigh down on the floor.

“Could you come with me Mrs. Serenity?” The nurse asked.

“Yeah okay.” Kaleigh answered.

Kaleigh kissed Kieran than left with the nurse. Kieran sat down a chair and sighed. Kieran looked around the waiting room than suddenly stopped Hayley.

“Is that you Hayley?” Kieran asked.

“Yeah it is.” Hayley answered.

“It's me Kieran Serenity.” Kieran said.

“Wow, you've sure changed.” Hayley replied.

“Yeah I know and so have you.” Kieran said.

“What are you doing here?” Hayley asked.

“I'm waiting for my wife to be done seeing the doctor.” Kieran answered.

“Your wife?” Hayley asked.

“That's what I said.” Kieran answered.

“How long have you been married?” Hayley asked.

“I've been married for 9 years.” Kieran answered.

“That's a long time and you must really love her.” Hayley said.

“Yeah I do with all my heart and soul.” Kieran replied.

“Really Kier?” Kaleigh asked.

“Yes Kale.” Kieran answered.

Kieran got to his feet and walked over to Kaleigh.

“Are you wondering what the doctor told me?” Kaleigh asked.

“Yes I am.” Kieran answered.

“The reason that it's giving such a hard time this time is because I'm having twins.” Kaleigh answered.

“Twins?” Kieran asked.

“Yeah that's what I said.” Kaleigh answered.

“I guess since you're a twin it's bond to happen.” Kieran said.

“That's what the doctor said.” Kaleigh replied.

Hayley looked at Kieran and Kaleigh.

“Why do I get the feeling that I know you too?” Hayley asked.

“That's very simple because you do.” Kaleigh answered.

“Did we go school together?” Hayley asked.

“Yes we did and you were there for me when I needed you.” Kaleigh answered.

“What do you mean?” Hayley asked.

“I mean that when Kieran was taken away from you were only that was there to help me through.” Kaleigh answered.

“Kaleigh?” Hayley asked.

“That's my name don't wear it out.” Kaleigh answered.

“You're married to Kieran?” Hayley asked.

Kaleigh nodded her head.

“Yeah I am.” Kaleigh answered.

“Wow, Frankie was all this time but I never believed her.” Hayley said.

“It's thanks to Frankie we got together.” Kieran replied.

“What does Frankie have to do with you two getting together?” Hayley asked.

“She's got everything do with it.” Kaleigh answered.

Kieran grinned.

“Do you remember the night of Safe-Grad?” Kieran asked.

“Yeah I do.” Hayley answered.

“Do you remember what Frankie made Kaleigh do?” Kieran asked.

“Yes I remember that Frankie made Kaleigh go on the Ferris wheel when she knew of Kaleigh's fear of heights.” Hayley answered.

“This a good reason why I made Kaleigh go on the Ferris wheel that night.” A voice said.

Kaleigh, Kieran and Hayley turned around to Frankie standing behind them.

“Why would you do it when you knew that she's afraid of heights?” Hayley asked.

“I can answer that one because she's the only beside Kaleigh's mother that knew I was back and she also knew that I wouldn't get up the nerve myself to tell Kaleigh my feelings for her.” Kieran answered.

Frankie nodded her head.

“I also knew that Kieran would be at the Safe-Grad so I dared Kaleigh to go the Ferris wheel so that Kieran could save her.” Frankie said.

“Why did you climb the Ferris wheel instead of using your powers?” Kaleigh asked.

“I knew that I used my powers that you know who I was and that's that I wanted you to find out.” Kieran answered.

Kaleigh cuddled up to Kieran. Kieran wrapped his arms around Kaleigh.

“Do you know what?” Kaleigh asked.

“No, I don't.” Kieran answered.

“I'm actually really glad you were at the carnival that night otherwise I'd still be stuck on that Ferris Wheel.” Kaleigh said.

Kieran smiled and hugged Kaleigh. Frankie looked at Kaleigh.

“What are you two doing here anyway?” Frankie asked.

“Kaleigh has been having a lot of problems with her pregnancy so we came here to find out what it is wrong.” Kieran answered.

“What is wrong?” Frankie asked.

“I'm going to have twins so it's little hard on me this time.” Kaleigh answered.

“Who's looking after Serena?” Frankie asked.

“My mother is.” Kaleigh answered.

Kaleigh and Kieran walked back home in hand to hand. They walked inside to find Marguerite and Serena in the kitchen baking. Kaleigh walked out into the kitchen along with Kieran.

“What are you two baking?” Kieran asked.

Serena smiled.

“We are baking chocolate chip cookies.” Serena answered.

Kaleigh smiled.

“Whose idea what is to bake cookies?” Kaleigh asked.

“It was Grammy's idea.” Serena answered.

Kaleigh smiled.

“That brings back a lot of memories.” Kaleigh said.

“What do you mean mom?” Serena asked.

“Your grandmother and I use to bake cookies when I was your age.” Kaleigh answered.

“I remember that too and they always tasted so good.” Kieran said.

A few hours later the cookies are. Marguerite walked into the living room with a plate full of cookies. Kaleigh took a cookie and took a bite.

“Wow, these are really good.” Kaleigh replied.

Kieran took a cookie and took a bite.

“She's right they are.” Kieran said.

Serena smiled. A few hours later it's nighttime. Serena is sleeping in her bed. Marguerite's mother is sleeping in the spare room. Kaleigh and Kieran are sleeping in each other's arms.
