~~**Chapter Three**~~
The sun shone bright in the afternoon sky. A gentle breeze blew through the barely blossoming trees. The grass was a vibrant and green. The air smelt fresh and clean. The promise of summer was in the air. It would have been a beautiful day if Ami had been there.
The four girls stood around Ami's grave. It was now almost two weeks since Ami's funeral. After the Senshi had found her body, they had stood there in a shocked silence for nearly half an hour. Rei had snapped out of it first and ran back to her Temple to call the police. Ever since then detectives had been searching for even the slightest bit of evidence, but none was recovered.
The girls knew it hadn't been another person that had taken Ami's life. She was a Sailor Senshi. No human could have done this to her. The only solution was that they had a new enemy, and a powerful one at that.
The four of them looked upon Sailor Mercury's grave with dry eyes. If it was possible to cry anymore, they would have. A small distance away stood Haruka, Michiru, Sestuna, and Mamoru holding a blank Chibi-usa in his arms. They all looked quietly on.
"We have to…" Usagi started, stopped, put her hand to her mouth, tears welling up in her eyes, despite everything, and turned away. She was their leader. She had to be strong, for them. She turned back, cleared her throat, and took a deep breath.
"We have to find out who did this. We have to stop this before anyone else is hurt."
"They will pay." Makoto growled and tightened her hand into a fist. She had, if possible, been affected more than the rest by Sailor Mercury's death.
"We have to plan this out though. We can't jump into things. That's how…" Rei said, trailing off. Everyone was quiet a while more, remembering the image of Ami's wide, staring eyes and the ugly bruises on her neck. That image would haunt them forever.
"We can't just stand here. I will not let Ami die in vain." Minako proclaimed.
"You're right, Minako. Ami wouldn't want us to cry. She would want us to get on with our lives. Let's do this for her" Usagi said, a small smile spreading across her face. Everyone's spirits raised a fraction.
"You can make quite a speech when you have to." Haruka smirked. Everyone laughed a little.
"Come you guys, let's go." They all laid their hands on the grave for the last time, turned, and walked away, holding their heads high. They were the Sailor Senshi. They would triumph.
Oh, how very wrong they all were.

The woman stood, examining herself in a full length mirror. Her skin was pale against the black clothes she wore, and her deep blue eyes glinted maliciously. She liked her human form, despite herself. These humans were oh so very…delicious.
She stretched her great ominous wings. The one thing she couldn't part with, though, were her wings. She didn't know how she would get around without them. Plus, they added a nice touch to her figure.
Nienev turned (for her name was, indeed, Nienev), and waltzed over to a man cowering on the floor. She lifted her had and the man was pulled upright and completely off of the floor by and invisible force. He whimpered as she stepped forward and examined him.
He was mildly handsome, with brown hair and green eyes. He wore baggy jeans that were torn at the knees and a white t-shirt, stained with blood. His lip was bleeding and there was a large bruise forming on his cheek.
"Oh, you poor thing" She said as a horrible grin spread across her face. Nienev flicked her wrist and he was thrown sideways into the wall. He yelled in pain as he fell to the floor. She giggled and skipped over to where he lay in a heap on the floor. She flipped him onto his back and sat on his stomach, none to delicately, which caused him to grunt in pain. The black haired woman leaned forward and licked the blood off of his lips. She brought her hand up and slowly ran her fingers through his hair. Then with one quick motion, snapped his neck.
Nieven stood and stepped across the man's limp form. A nervous youma that had been standing off to the side and out of the way now hurried forward and dragged the lifeless body out of the chamber.
The woman lifted her hands up to her face, studying her nails. She hoped the Sailor Senshi would put up more of a fight than the rest of these pathetic creatures did. She always liked a challenge.

Author's Note: If this chapter didn't scare you away, then I don't know what will. Well, I guess it wasn't TO terribly horrible. Anyway, I have decided that if I don't get more reviews, then there will be no fourth chapter. Sorry! So that means you must review. Haha!
